Chapter 156 Gu, the Little Clever Guy, Luo Xi

Gu Luoqi paused slightly, realizing that Qi Sheng's tolerance for sweetness far exceeded her expectations.

"Why do you like sweets so much?" she couldn't help but ask.

Actually, she was very puzzled when she first noticed this.

No matter how many times she thinks about it, she feels that liking sweets doesn't quite fit Qi Sheng's character.

"You like it?" Qi Sheng was slightly taken aback, her expression somewhat strange.

"Hmm." Gu Luoqi nodded gently, then looked up and noticed his unusual expression.

Seemingly sensing something, she tactfully changed the subject with a casual remark, "If you like it, you like it. What reason is there to like something? By the way, can you handle spicy food?"

She only remembered that Qi Sheng usually cooked light meals, and because her father couldn't eat spicy food, Aunt Qi's cooking was also not heavy on flavors. In terms of diet, their family was quite healthy.

Qi Sheng seemed to still be pondering the question Gu Luoxi had asked him at the beginning.

Why does he like to eat sweets?

Gu Luoqi suddenly realized that this guy was so dull and didn't seem very bright. Was this the academic genius that the system had been longing for? He was probably just a simpleton.

While she was still silently complaining in her heart, Qi Sheng seemed to realize something and said, "It's alright."

He doesn't seem to like or dislike spicy food; perhaps he doesn't have the same high standards for food as Gu Luoqi.

"Oh, that's good. Let's hurry up and catch up with Xiao Chengzi and the others." Gu Luoqi was relieved.

She had originally planned to have barbecue, but she was afraid that Qi Sheng would feel awkward if he didn't eat.

Compared to Gu Luoxi and Qi Sheng's casual conversation, the atmosphere on Cheng Cheng's side was much more lively.

"Why don't we wait for them?" Zhang Zeyu has always been naive and didn't understand Cheng Cheng and Li Mingya's good intentions at all.

"Why are you asking so many questions, you little kid?" Cheng Cheng replied slowly while eating. Of course, her actions revealed a hint of impatience, as if she really thought of Zhang Zeyu as a child, or a child with a million questions in his head.

Zhang Zeyu: Okay, thank you. I feel insulted.

"First of all, I'm not a child. Secondly, I just wanted to ask what's wrong?" Zhang Zeyu tried his best to keep smiling.

Oh, today is another optimistic and cheerful day.

"Oh, I don't want to wait," Cheng Cheng said casually.

Since he was just asking casually, she gave a casual answer.

If such a clueless guy isn't still a child, then what is he?

Zhang Zeyu was speechless after being rebuked, and looked at Li Mingya for help.

A gentle girl like her must have been able to see how weak, pitiful, and helpless he was.

However, Li Mingya, whom Zhang Zeyu sees as gentle and kind, may disappoint her. It's not that she didn't notice his helplessness, but she simply chose to ignore it.

Yet, her gentle and graceful demeanor, with a smile playing on her lips, makes it impossible for anyone to believe that she's doing it on purpose.

Cheng Cheng was still imagining how Gu Luoxi should thank her when a familiar voice came from behind.

"Hey! Why are you walking so fast?" Gu Luoqi's voice rang out from not far away.

Cheng Cheng turned her head and looked at Gu Luoxi and Qi Sheng in disbelief. She had gone to great lengths to create such a great atmosphere for them, how could Gu Luoxi not understand her good intentions at all?

"How did you guys get here so fast?" Li Mingya was also a little confused.

"I just jogged a few steps," Gu Luoqi said, seemingly a little proud.

Honestly, why didn't she wait for them? If it weren't for the fact that she'd been getting up early every day to exercise with Ya Ya lately, she'd be completely out of breath by now.

This is something to be proud of, and she straightened her back as she thought about it.
