“We just passed that shop right behind us,” Gu Luoqi said earnestly.
She has always been serious about her food choices.
"Then why didn't you say anything just now?" Cheng Cheng's voice was indifferent, sounding devoid of emotion.
"Um... I was just thinking there might be something even better ahead..." Gu Luoqi became a little flustered when she saw her reaction.
"Let's go," Cheng Cheng said, drawing out her words.
Since things have come to this, what other options are there?
However, she discovered that Gu Luoqi was a real cure for low blood pressure. Whenever she was around, her blood pressure would rise rapidly. She wondered which unlucky guy would find a partner like her in the future.
Thinking of this, she suddenly didn't want Qi Sheng to be so unlucky, after all, her younger brother looked so innocent.
Gu Luoqi didn't dare to say another word until they arrived at the store, because she was a bit of a coward.
It was called a shop, but it was actually just a small stall with some tables and chairs in front. There were quite a few people eating there, which made Cheng Cheng more confident in Gu Luoxi's judgment. It looked like a "time-honored brand".
Gu Luoqi has a special love for this kind of down-to-earth place.
"You guys take a look first," she said, handing the menu to Cheng Cheng as a gesture of flattery.
"Since this is your first time out with us, you can order first." Cheng Cheng handed the menu to Qi Sheng, ignoring Gu Luoxi's attempts to curry favor.
Of course, Gu Luoqi wouldn't mind such a small thing, after all, she's a professional simp.
The system now understands why she got stuck on things in her past life; it turns out it was just a habit.
Zhang Zeyu felt the opposite way. It was his first time out too. He and Qi Sheng were clearly the same, so why were they treated differently?
The menu eventually ended up back in Gu Luoxi's hands. She had no choice but to take on the responsibility. "You all don't have any dietary restrictions, right?" she asked routinely.
Then she watched it from beginning to end, asking for everyone's opinions as she watched. She's always been very good at ordering food.
"Everyone's drinking Coke?" The final touches.
Of course, this was obviously a question for Qi Sheng, as she had already noticed that he didn't like strong flavors and didn't seem to like carbonated drinks.
"Yes, it's best if it's iced." Zhang Zeyu said with a smile.
Who could resist an ice-cold Coke in this atmosphere?
Qi Sheng had no objections at this point.
"See if there's anything else you need," Gu Luoqi asked again, out of humanitarian concern.
After ordering, she stood up and asked, "Would you like milk tea?"
Seeing that they had no desire, she had no choice but to go by herself.
"Warning: Too much sweetness!" the system alert sounded.
"I understand." Gu Luoqi muttered to herself. All she wanted was a sip of milk tea. At worst, she'd ask for 30% sugar. This was her last act of stubbornness.
After thinking it over, I decided to buy Qi Sheng's share, mainly because I felt he might be too embarrassed to express his needs due to the large number of people.
Look how thoughtful she is.
After a while, she returned to their spot, saying, "Here's your milk tea."
"Why wasn't there any for me?" Cheng Cheng's eyes widened. This wasn't because she was craving milk tea; it was just a joke.
"Didn't you say you didn't want it?" Gu Luoqi asked calmly.
Well, she had already anticipated Xiao Chengzi's unreasonable behavior, so she just had to accept it.
"Okay, I'm not good enough for you." Cheng Cheng pretended to look dejected.
She can already foresee Gu Luoqi's future tendency to prioritize romantic relationships over friendships.
It feels like your daughter, whom you raised with great care, has run off with some random guy.
Just as their skewers were finished, Gu Luoqi lost interest in arguing. "Eat your food," she said, seeing that this wouldn't shut her up.
Gu Luoxi didn't stand on ceremony with them. She thought the taste was pretty good, but it was a bit spicy because some of the seasoning wasn't evenly distributed. She couldn't resist taking a few sips of the milk tea to rinse it off.
Tears welled up in her eyes from the spiciness. Just as the burning sensation subsided a little, she noticed that Qi Sheng was looking at her with a strange expression.
"What's wrong?" Gu Luoqi sniffed, but found that no snot was coming out.
