Chapter 16 Goodbye Little Orange

Gu Luoqi was somewhat pleased to hear this.

Forget it, she'll let it go for the sake of the points.

She closed the book in front of her. This morning reading was not without results; at least she memorized a classical Chinese text.

She plans to plan her time to avoid being idle and unsure of what to do each time.

Just then, the phone rang, and she picked it up and glanced at it.

Holy crap, Little Orange, I think I made an appointment with her, but she completely forgot about it.

She quickly answered, "Hello?"

Little Orange roared in my ear: "I'm almost there, come out and get ready to greet me."

Actually, Xiao Chengzi had just gotten out of the car and arrived at the entrance of Gu Luoqi's residential area, but she was afraid that he hadn't gotten up yet, so she called to urge him first.

Xiao Chengzi was quite surprised that Gu Luoxi answered the phone so quickly this time.

Gu Luoqi subconsciously moved her phone further away; sure enough, Xiao Chengzi's voice was as loud as ever.

"Okay, right away." Gu Luoqi quickly got up to greet this irritable little fairy.

Xiao Chengzi's tone was somewhat exaggerated, with obvious suspicion: "Big brother, you're not still not up, are you?" Her suspicion was not without reason, because Gu Luoqi had always looked like this.

She looked like she was always half asleep, and she wanted to lift her out of bed.

"No, I got up early, okay?" Gu Luoqi said helplessly. Why was this guy so insecure about her?

Little Orange looked like she'd seen a ghost: "That's really strange."

"It's normal for someone as sunny and positive as me to get up early, okay?" Gu Luoqi said shamelessly.

"Have you no shame? Wait... your elevator is broken and under repair." Xiao Chengzi's voice was furious.

"Huh? No way." Gu Luoqi's eyes widened.

This is it, she's doomed. You know, her apartment is on the tenth floor.

"Do you want me to come down and get you?" She felt a little guilty.

"Nonsense, I brought a lot of books with me." Little Orange said in a tone that said, "You figure it out."

"Sigh... alright." Gu Luoqi tried hard to recall her distant memories. Why was there no mention of the elevator being broken? Otherwise, she wouldn't have been allowed to come.

Could it be that she never went out in her past life?

It seems to be like this.

"Maybe I should just go home. Today's trip didn't go well. Let's meet up another day." Little Orange immediately backed down when she remembered that this bastard's house was on the tenth floor.

And she also had a lot of homework to do.

For such a delicate and beautiful girl to carry so many books up such a high floor, isn't that just suffering?

"Sigh, since you're already here, I'm begging you, I'll come down and get you. Wait for me." Gu Luoqi quickly changed her clothes and went out, afraid that she would go back.

"Okay, okay, I'll walk up first." Little Orange looked distressed, but still gave in.

What else can we do? We're already here; she can't possibly go back now.

"Wait here, I'll be right there." Gu Luoqi walked downstairs with her phone in her hand.

After walking for a long time, she finally met the half-dead little orange halfway there.

Seeing her old friend again, she was somewhat dazed. Seeing that her figure overlapped with the image in her memory, Gu Luoqi unconsciously put on a smile.

Little Orange looked up and saw someone grinning foolishly at the top of the stairs. Her temper flared up immediately: "What the hell are you laughing at? Come and help me!" The bastard was half-dead here while she was laughing happily up there.

"I'm here." Gu Luoqi's tone became a bit more cheerful.

It's so nice to see you, Little Orange.

She silently repeated it to herself.

The weather is still a bit hot. Xiao Chengzi is wearing a simple short-sleeved shirt and cropped jeans. Her dark hair is tied into a high ponytail, which makes her look even more youthful and energetic.

She has an innocent-looking round face with adorable baby fat on her cheeks. At this moment, her face is flushed from excessive exercise, making her look extremely cute.

Beneath her delicate eyebrows were bright, clear eyes. When she saw Gu Luoxi, her eyes lit up instantly, sparkling like stars.

But Gu Luoqi saw her like a hungry wolf encountering meat, which made Gu Luoqi feel uneasy.

Who would have thought that someone who looks so harmless would have such a wild and unruly personality? Sigh, you can only blame it on how deceptive that face is.

"I'm exhausted." Xiao Chengzi was a little out of breath. She lent her schoolbag to Gu Luoxi and then casually wiped the fine sweat from her forehead.

She hadn't exercised like this in a long time; it almost killed her.

Gu Luoxi took it and felt its weight in her hand. She was a little incredulous: "Do we have this much homework?" Don't tell her it's true.

Xiao Chengzi rolled her eyes at Gu Luoxi, panting as she said, "Nonsense, do you think I want this much?" If it weren't for their friendship, she wouldn't have gone to all this trouble.

"Okay." Gu Luoqi's expression was reluctant.

"Don't rush off yet, let me catch my breath." After saying that, Xiao Chengzi casually sat down on the ground, not caring at all that the ground was dirty.

Seeing this, Gu Luoqi smiled mockingly: "Young man, your health isn't so good."

"If you're so good, then you do it. Let me tell you, I've done all the exercise I needed for the past month today." Little Orange's eyes showed obvious signs of fatigue.

"Cheng Cheng, you should really take good care of your health and try to live a few more years when you get old," Gu Luoqi said with a slight smile.

Her name is Cheng Cheng, so Gu Luoqi always calls her Little Orange.

It would be a lie to say I wasn't happy to see an old friend again.

"Please shut up, don't curse me. I might live longer if I stay away from you." Little Orange glared at her.
