"Let's decide how to play now." Xu Cheng completely disregarded the atmosphere among them.
His attention was drawn to the Truth or Dare cards; it was his first time playing the game and he had even seen special cards for them.
Since we're going to play a game, let's set some rules first. It would be too boring to just rely on drawing cards.
"Let me think about it." Cheng Cheng suddenly realized that she had only bought the props and hadn't thought about the game rules carefully yet.
She poked Gu Luoxi, who was lost in thought, and said, "Don't just sit there, think about it!"
Gu Luoxi said that she was not very quick-witted and couldn't think of anything.
"How about... we just count the numbers and skip any number that is 6 or a multiple of 6?" Su Yan was the first to suggest the rule.
Gu Luoqi glared at him fiercely upon hearing this. Why was this guy suddenly trying to make his presence known?
And isn't this just taking advantage of her not being good at math?
"Host, I feel like this... doesn't require math, does it?" the system said cautiously.
Any child who can count should be able to continue this.
"Shut up!" Gu Luoqi was already somewhat embarrassed and angry from what it had said.
It's time for relaxation; she really doesn't want to use her brain.
She glanced at Xu Cheng, and knowing he was also a poor student, she was sure he wouldn't agree to this pointless game.
However, Xu Cheng misunderstood her meaning and thought she was urging him to nod. Since it was just a game, he said he had no objection, "Okay."
Gu Luoqi looked at Li Mingya, who slowly nodded, "I think it's okay."
Qi Sheng didn't care much about these small details anyway, and said softly, "Whatever."
"I'm fine with it too, let's do it this way then." Cheng Cheng waved her hand and made the decision directly.
Gu Luoqi: So nobody cares whether I live or die?
Please, it's her birthday today! Why doesn't she even have the right to choose for herself?
"Host, good luck! I believe this simple game won't be difficult for you!" the system said casually.
"What are you being sarcastic about now?" Gu Luoqi's voice carried a hint of danger.
The system was a pragmatic fellow, so it immediately shut up.
This made Gu Luoqi so angry that it felt like she had punched a cotton ball.
"It'd better be fast, otherwise it'll be too boring," Cheng Cheng said, raising an eyebrow.
You can't expect people to slowly count on their fingers to calculate, can you? What's the point of playing then?
No one seemed to have any objections to this.
Of course, it wouldn't make a difference if the only person who might have a problem voiced their opinion.
"Let's start now. Since it's your birthday today, let's start with you." Cheng Cheng turned to look at Gu Luoqi.
Now this guy has finally remembered her.
Gu Luoqi spoke expressionlessly, "1."
She wanted to see if her IQ had regressed to the point where she couldn't even remember the multiplication tables.
"That might be Alzheimer's disease," the system suddenly interjected.
"Why are you everywhere?!" she shouted angrily.
The system shut up once again.
Gu Luoqi dared not say more, but she predicted that she would not get Alzheimer's disease in the next ten years, because she didn't get it in her previous life.
“19.” Gu Luoqi successfully avoided 18 once again.
And so it went until it reached over a hundred, and no one made any mistakes.
The round ended when Xu Cheng failed to avoid 156.
Seeing him fall for it, Gu Luoqi couldn't be happier; thankfully, she wasn't the first one to make a mistake.
She smiled and took out a deck of cards. "Pick one. In this deck, white is Truth and black is Dare."
“I choose…truth.” Xu Cheng drew a white card.
"Let me see... what's the most touching thing that ever happened to me?" Gu Luoqi took the card and read it aloud.
This guy was lucky; it was a fairly standard question.
Xu Cheng didn't even blink before speaking, "When I was little, I had a fever in the middle of the night, and my mother carried me on her back in the rain..."
"Stop, stop, stop... Why does this opening sound so familiar?" Gu Luoqi couldn't help but interrupt him after listening for a few sentences.
"If I remember correctly, this should be the standard for elementary school students' compositions."
As for how she knew, it's because she herself wrote it, only she changed "Mom" to "Dad".
The teachers were probably puzzled at the time as to why these children always had fevers in the middle of the night.
"And I remember in your essay..."
"Stop, stop, stop talking." Xu Cheng blushed a little when Gu Luoqi brought this up.
“Yes, many elementary school students write like this in their essays. I think I wrote about such an embarrassing scene myself.” Cheng Cheng said it without any hesitation, since everyone was the same.
Li Mingya agreed, saying, "I think I have that too."
Even Su Yan spoke up, "I have one too."
Only Qi Sheng was different: "I didn't."
Of course, if he were the one in question, everyone would understand.
"I'm different from them?!" Xu Cheng raised his voice slightly.
Li Mingya couldn't help but ask, "So... what's different?"
"They're all making it up, only I'm telling the truth," Xu Cheng said calmly.
Everyone: "..."
Gu Luoqi asked, still somewhat unwilling to give up, "Are you serious?"
She found it hard to believe that such a clichéd plot would happen in real life.
"Of course it's true, why would I lie to you?" Xu Cheng said helplessly in the face of everyone's doubts.
Silence fell over the room once again.
Seeing everyone's silence, Xu Cheng couldn't help but add, "If you don't believe me, you can call my mom right now."
Gu Luoqi then realized that he really wasn't joking.
To be honest, it's absolutely outrageous.
