Starting the next day, Gu Luoqi began preparations.
Just as she expected, Qi Sheng started leaving early and returning late these past few days.
Sure enough, she was much more ambitious than him; she had never even considered part-time work before.
This was mainly because her father was always generous to her, so although she wasn't exactly rich, she wasn't particularly strapped for cash either.
Seeing that he was about to leave, she asked, "Are you working a part-time job for the next few days?"
"Mm." Qi Sheng nodded.
Gu Luoqi looked conflicted, wondering whether she should ask him if he was going or not.
She was almost persuaded by Xiao Chengzi and thought that having another helper would be a good thing.
Qi Sheng's expression remained calm. "Speak quickly if you have something to say."
"There's a music festival the day after tomorrow. I wanted to ask if you're going." Gu Luoqi finally asked.
For some reason, I even felt a faint sense of anticipation.
"I'll think about it." Seeing her expectant look, Qi Sheng subconsciously curled the corners of his mouth.
He didn't explicitly refuse, and Gu Luoqi silently breathed a sigh of relief. "Then think it over carefully, but let me know as soon as possible."
After he left, Gu Luoqi felt much better and her movements became lighter.
Cheng Cheng and Li Mingya were busy with other preparations and couldn't come over for a while, so Gu Luoqi was quite busy.
Qi Sheng has been more agreeable lately, so she often asks him for help.
Watching Qi Sheng tie on the cute apron, she felt a shameful sense of satisfaction, and the smile on her lips became even more pronounced.
Seeing her unrestrained laughter, Qi Sheng's earlobes turned slightly red, and he subconsciously avoided her gaze.
Noticing his awkwardness, Gu Luoqi finally became less unrestrained and started to do things seriously.
When Cheng Cheng led Li Mingya to the door, she found that the two had a great understanding of each other.
“I knew it, Qi Sheng is definitely a fantastic source of labor,” Cheng Cheng said to Li Mingya beside her.
"Since you're already here, come and help." Gu Luoqi couldn't stand seeing the two of them so leisurely.
"Coming, coming." Cheng Cheng started washing her hands, intending to help.
“I borrowed a food truck from my aunt, and she was also invited to this event, so we can go with her,” Cheng Cheng said.
"That's great, please thank Auntie for me!" Gu Luoqi suddenly remembered that Auntie Cheng Cheng seemed to do this kind of work, and suddenly felt that there was hope for the future.
Seeing her shameless behavior, Cheng Cheng instantly felt a sense of crisis, "Don't try to climb the social ladder randomly."
Gu Luoqi: "..." She didn't think she was that scary.
Okay, let's leave it at that for now.
Anyway, everyone loves her, so her aunt definitely won't refuse her when she meets her.
She suddenly remembered the purpose of inviting them here, "Oh right, you should try the new product."
These two are quite picky about food, so they came over to help out and check if there were any defects in the taste of the products.
"Is this jujube cake?" Li Mingya picked up a delicate little dessert and smelled the sweet aroma of jujubes even before taking a bite.
"Mm." Gu Luoqi nodded.
She didn't try overly innovative flavors, mainly because the food is aimed at the general public. So, when making her choices, she only refined the existing flavors that were already popular.
Li Mingya took a small bite, breaking through the crispy outer shell, and the aroma of dates filled her mouth.
She didn't hold back her praise, exclaiming, "It's delicious!"
She was certain that this was the best jujube cake she had ever eaten in her life.
Cheng Cheng didn't particularly like the taste of jujube cake, but she still tried a bite and found that it didn't have that bitter taste, so she didn't dislike it.
However, she preferred Gu Luoqi's pineapple pastries and egg yolk pastries to these.
After tasting each item, the two gave it unanimous praise.
"Don't sell the thousand-layer cake; it's troublesome and doesn't make money," Cheng Cheng said.
Gu Luoqi hadn't planned to make much anyway. "Of course, this is for me to eat myself."
The main problem is that the ingredients are too expensive, so it's better to keep them for ourselves.
After finishing everything, Cheng Cheng and Gu Luoqi had dinner here and played games for a while before going back.
After finishing her work, Qi Sheng planned to go back to her room.
"Aren't you working part-time these days?" Gu Luoqi asked with some curiosity.
In fact, Qi Sheng didn't stay at home much during holidays. Later, she learned from Aunt Qi that he had been working part-time all these years.
However, she was a little curious about what kind of part-time job Qi Sheng could do at such a young age.
Qi Sheng was very honest. "I took leave."
Gu Luoqi was stunned for a moment. Asking for leave?
It couldn't be because I invited him to the concert, could it?
She quickly dismissed most of the idea; he shouldn't be that bad.
"Playing games?" Qi Sheng asked, raising the corner of his eye.
Gu Luoqi was still thinking about his request for leave, but subconsciously said, "Just playing."
