Chapter 30: This system is a bit stingy.

Cheng Cheng was talking enthusiastically when she looked up and saw Gu Luoxi's infatuated gaze. The gaze was so blatant that she didn't dare to look directly at him.

"Were you even listening to me?" she snapped. Couldn't you at least show her some respect?

"I've listened, I promise I'll listen very carefully," Gu Luoqi quickly said when she saw that she was about to get angry.

She swore on her integrity that she was absolutely serious; it's just that when Xiao Chengzi got serious, her charm was too great, and she couldn't resist.

"Then what are you doing, looking so dazed and confused?" Cheng Cheng stared at her.

"I'm expressing my admiration for you. Don't worry, I'm completely sincere and there's absolutely no lie in my words," Gu Luoqi quickly said when she saw that Cheng Cheng seemed somewhat unconvinced.

Cheng Cheng: She doesn't believe a single punctuation mark this guy says.

She still wanted some interaction; what was the point of her talking so enthusiastically by herself? "Have you got any ideas yet?"

"Huh? Are you done explaining?" Her understanding was still stuck at the moment this guy wrote down the formula.

"Fine, figure it out yourself, I'm quitting." Cheng Cheng put down his pen and went on strike.

You bastard, you're wasting your breath.

"My dear brother, I beg you, please do it again. It's too fast, I can't keep up," Gu Luoqi pleaded with Cheng Cheng.

They were incredibly obsequious.

“Since you won’t listen anyway, why bother with all this formalities?” Cheng Cheng looked at her.

"I was only distracted for a moment, how did I know you were talking so fast?" Gu Luoqi blinked her eyes dramatically, squinting out a few tears, looking pitiful as if she would cry if Cheng Cheng didn't agree.

"Host, if only you had known this would happen." During the time it had been following Gu Luoqi, the system was no longer the simple system it used to be. It had now learned to gloat and laugh at Gu Luoqi's misfortunes.

"Shut up! Wasn't it you who told me to study hard? Is it wrong for me to study hard now?" Gu Luoqi said sternly.

The system knew it couldn't out-argue this smooth-talking guy, but...

"Host, I was going to tell you that I have a built-in recording function, but seeing how confident you are, you definitely don't need it."

Of course, saying "confident" is too mild; it should actually be described as "arrogant."

"Haha... well... I was just kidding, please don't take it to heart, my dear system..." Gu Luoqi fully demonstrated what it means to be a man who can bend and stretch.

Moreover, this skill has been honed to a level of perfection.

Since the system has a built-in recording function, she no longer needs to worry about falling behind others because she can't understand the lectures; she can come back and listen to them at her leisure.

"The host can use it, but points must be paid," the system said indifferently. This function wasn't something you could just use for free.

Gu Luoqi was stunned for a second upon hearing this: "You're despicable!" This is probably not a case of settling a personal score. Where can she report it?

"It's impossible for the host to get something for free. This is definitely not a personal vendetta, but rather a programming setting." The system remained as indifferent as ever.

"How many points?" Gu Luoqi silently complained about the system's stinginess in her heart, but she had no choice but to bow her head, after all, this was really a good thing.

"10 points per transaction, fair and square, you won't lose out." The system started to let loose and started advertising.

"Could you make it cheaper?" Gu Luoqi asked softly, after all, one should act like one is asking for a favor.

"Impossible, this is the price, and it's not much," the system told her firmly. It was a system with principles.

"Then I don't have any." Gu Luoqi said dejectedly, looking gloomy.

"It's alright, you can owe me for now, I'll deduct it automatically later," the system said calmly. See? It's good to its host, isn't it? It's a system with humanity.

Gu Luoqi: "..." How could this be?

Does this mean she not only has no money, but also owes the system 10 points?

Oh, right, she has 1 point. Thinking of this gave her some comfort.

"Alright, I'll owe you for now," she said through gritted teeth.

We can't possibly not use it.

"Okay, recording is now enabled. Welcome back next time," the system said.

Gu Luoxi: What a load of rubbish.

She finally managed to persuade Cheng Cheng after much coaxing. Cheng Cheng was completely helpless and resignedly picked up her pen again: "Okay, okay, please be serious."

She explained it again carefully: "Now you know how, right? Calculate the result yourself, I'm too lazy to do it."

Gu Luoqi opened her eyes, which were still somewhat bewildered but filled with curiosity. Although she was still a little confused, looking at Cheng Cheng's expression, she believed that if she dared to say she didn't know, Cheng Cheng would definitely kill her: "I think I have an idea." After all, she had the system's recording function, so if she didn't know how, she could do it a few more times.

Cheng Cheng nodded with great satisfaction: "Hmm, he's teachable." Now she finally found this guy a bit more agreeable.

"That's right, I'm very smart." Gu Luoqi raised her head proudly.

System: Bah, shameless, now you're even getting proud of yourself.

Cheng Cheng glanced at her indifferently: "Tell me it again now, and I'll see if there's anything wrong with it."

Gu Luoqi's eyes widened slightly. What's going on? Why are they doing spot checks now?

What should she do? She was a little scared.

"Um... Little Orange, I have some good news for you." Gu Luoqi suddenly leaned closer, feigning mystery, but more importantly, she wanted to divert attention.

Cheng Cheng moved a few steps away from her, her face filled with suspicion: "What?" She always felt that this guy was unreliable.

"To repay you for working so hard to explain the problems to me, I plan to cook you a sumptuous dinner." Gu Luoqi had what she thought was a gentle smile on her face.

"Forget it... there's no need for that. We're all brothers, no need to be so formal." Cheng Cheng quickly refused. She felt she didn't deserve the treat, and besides, what was with this guy suddenly smiling so sinisterly?

He wouldn't be planning to harm her, would he?

"I think you need it. Don't worry, I'll do my best for you." Gu Luoqi clenched her fist, looking full of confidence.

"Can you do that?" Cheng Cheng was speechless. Oh no, she was starting to dislike this guy more and more.

“Although I don’t know how, I can learn. Don’t worry, I’m not the kind of person who gives up easily.” Gu Luoqi rattled off a whole bunch of things.

Of course, she achieved her goal, successfully misleading Cheng Cheng.

"Big brother, please let me go. I'm still young and don't want to die young," Cheng Cheng began to beg for mercy.

She couldn't believe what kind of monstrosity this big, clumsy guy could produce.

"Who do you think you are? I'm very talented, okay?" She is absolutely gifted when it comes to cooking. She was really good at it when she was playing house back in the day.

"But..." Cheng Cheng tried to say something urgently.

Gu Luoqi interrupted her: "No buts. Please believe me, just wait."

Besides, she remembered there was a book in the system's store; studying it should be more than enough to cover a meal.
