"Yan Yin, help your brother."
"Oh, okay!" Yan Yin nodded, still a little confused.
Yan Shan hurried towards the kitchen.
I was a little confused.
Which room?
"Let's... let's go with Yan Yin's room!"
Yan Shan replied.
In the room...
Yan Yin and I looked at each other.
You look at me, I look at you.
On the bed, Gu Lianyi's soft breathing could be heard.
"Brother, is this sister drunk?"
Yan Yin asked in a low voice.
I nodded. "Yes, she's drunk. Could you help her take off her coat?"
"Can't my brother help her?" Yan Yin tilted her head, looking completely confused.
I awkwardly replied, "Men and women should not touch each other."
"So, only you can help her."
"Alright then." Yan Yin nodded obediently, and then began to take off Gu Lianyi's shoes.
Seeing this, I left the room.
I cannot leave any room for criticism.
Gu Lianyi is... a drama queen.
As soon as I stepped out of the room, I saw Yan Shan walking towards me. When he saw me outside, he glared at me and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Instead of taking good care of Miss Gu."
"Can you stop being so materialistic?" I was speechless looking at Yan Shan's concerned expression.
Yan Shan looked at me with a "you don't understand" expression and said, "What do you think our relationship is with Miss Gu?"
I didn't understand why he suddenly asked this, but after thinking for a moment I said, "It's more like a cooperative relationship."
“That settles it then.” Yan Shan said earnestly, “We have no relation to Miss Gu, yet she is willing to lend us money.”
"One million? That's no small amount."
"Many people can't repay it in their entire lives."
"Even if I sold my coffin shop, it wouldn't be worth this much money."
"So do you know what this means?"
"What?" I asked instinctively.
Yan Shan patted me on the shoulder and said earnestly, "You're still young, it's normal that you don't understand."
"But no matter what, this is an immense favor."
"From now on, Miss Gu will be the second mother of the Yan family."
"Is it really that exaggerated?" I asked, somewhat surprised. "It can't be that bad."
"Of course!" Yan Shan nodded firmly, "In the future, whatever Miss Gu asks of the Yan family, we will certainly go through fire and water for her..."
"Wait a minute," I interrupted him.
"This money was lent to me."
"Oh." Yan Shan paused for a moment. "You borrowed it?"
"Yes, so I should be your benefactor," I said with a smile.
Yan Shan waved his hand and said, "Forget it."
When will the money arrive?
"Tomorrow, she said tomorrow." I glanced around the room. "She's drunk now, she can't possibly turn around."
"That's fine then." Yan Shan nodded. "You skipped work today."
"But I'm in a good mood, so I won't hold it against you."
"Remember to tidy up the shop later."
"Do you have to treat me this differently?" I was both amused and exasperated.
"You disagree?" Yan Shan glanced at me.
"I agree!" I nodded.
I know.
Yan Shan actually considers me family.
Real family.
So what kind of gratitude should we talk about?
I'll keep it all in my heart.
