Chapter 114 Monster

Chu Yao took a deep breath.

I just don't believe it. Is there anything more evil than me in this world?

The wall-walking technique was used again. Chu Yao closed her eyes and rushed in, then opened her eyes.

What comes into view is a slightly narrow hall.

The reason why it seemed a bit narrow was because both sides of the hall were filled with transparent jars as tall as a person.

These glass jars are filled with dark green liquid, in which all kinds of strange things are floating and surging with bubbles.

Chu Yao looked carefully, her expression becoming serious. She could see what was in those jars.

It is a human organ.

In other words, most of them are human organs... because Chu Yao can recognize some of them at a glance.

There were people’s brains, severed hands, spines, hearts, eyes… and some that Chu Yao couldn’t recognize.

For example, a ball, like a basketball covered with long black hair, rises and falls in a jar with dark green liquid, its hairs swaying with the flow of water.

Chu Yao's face looked a little ugly. She probably guessed what Lian Jining was going to do by buying slaves.

But no matter what you do, saving lives first is the most important thing!

There are five doors in this hall. Chu Yao's spiritual sense took a rough look and found the presence of living people in the second and third doors!

Without further ado, she tiptoed over the various debris and pipes piled on the hall floor and rushed to the second door.

There was no need to go through the wall this time. Chu Yao simply pushed the door open and walked in.

The scene before her made her pupils shrink.

There was indeed a living creature inside the door, but Chu Yao didn’t know whether “it” could be considered a human.

It was a humanoid creature, over three meters tall, its body bloated and bulky, resembling a giant bear. At that moment, it lay slumped in the corner, like an idiot, its body crisscrossed with tubes and wires, connected to a mountain of computer equipment nearby.

If it was just big, it wouldn't scare Chu Yao. The key is its appearance:

Its massive body had seven arms, three on the left and four on the right. Some arms looked human, others had green skin and protrusions like a lizard's, and some were covered in soft fur like a bear's.

Its two legs were equally bizarre. One looked like a giant's foot, while the other was mechanically made. However, at the knee where the machine was connected, there were dark, hard corners protruding outwards in a twisted manner.

It had nine eyes on its face, each one apparently from a different creature. It had no nose, only a large, crocodile-like mouth. On its head grew two dark, hard horns, the same as those on its knees, but one on its forehead and one on its left ear.

In some places, one could even see traces of forced stitches made of unknown material.

But the most terrifying thing is its body.

Its body is covered with human faces.

A dense mass of human faces huddled together, each revealing an expression of agony and madness. Among them were some faces resembling monsters, some with animal ears, others with fox noses, but they were all equally distorted and hideous, their mouths half-open, as if about to roar to the heavens.

This is a monster created by forcibly combining various things.

Chu Yao's hand trembled as she recognized a few familiar faces among them.

If possible, she didn't want to recognize him.

One of them was still conscious.

“…Who…are you…Please…please, let me…die…”

Looking at this inhuman monster and listening to the words of begging for death, Chu Yao couldn't help but clench his fists.

Lian, Ji, Ning.

Anger filled Chu Yao's heart.

Chu Yao had never hated someone so much as she did today.

She wanted to smash this damn place to pieces, wanted to scream to the sky, but in the end she gritted her teeth and swallowed the sadness that surged with anger into her chest.

Chu Yao knew that it was impossible for them to live a normal life after becoming like this.

She closed her eyes.

He calmly reached out his hand and grasped the Purple Brilliant Sword.

Instantly, a brilliant purple light filled the room. The Purple Brilliant Sword, wielding immense spiritual power, cleaved the mountain-sized monster in two, splitting it in two. Its entrails, emitting a foul odor and black smoke, scattered across the floor in a chaotic mess.

Before dying, it didn't even react at all. Only the human face on its belly rose and fell with its breathing.

Blood splattered everywhere, green, red, and yellow. These colorful blood exploded under the sword, like a water ball filled with pigments suddenly punctured.

With a wave of his right hand, he took back the purple light, and the monster that was cut in half stopped breathing.

Chu Yao saw a faint smile of relief on the face of the man who had just wanted to die.

“Ahhhhhhhhh—”

She finally couldn't control herself and drove out the Purple Brilliant Sword again, slashing at the machines and instruments. Parts and sparks scattered with the blows, making a loud bang.

She thought that she might not be able to save many people, and the worst case scenario was that she might not be able to save any of them, but even so, she had to at least find a chance to bury the deceased.

But I didn't expect to encounter such a thing.

Her fellow disciple, Tianyin, was transformed into such a miserable state that his life was worse than death.

Chu Yao always thought that he was a calm person.

After a hundred years of practicing Taoism, she has seen the separation of life and death, and has seen the fickleness of the world. She is no longer young.

She thought she was rational enough and strong enough, strong enough to handle everything and strong enough to protect everything she wanted to protect.
