Chapter 145 Animals

After turning twice more, the pterosaur opened a vent and flipped over to jump down.

Below was a small room with white walls. Chu Yao didn't look closely. She waited until the pterosaur pushed the door and walked into the deeper room, and then she followed him.

White, it was all white at first glance, as clean as the ward where Chu Yao had once stayed.

When Chu Yao actually arrived at the house, he found that it was not that small. It was at least about the same size as Princess Ye's first-floor hall.

She habitually expanded her spiritual sense to survey her surroundings, while observing the pterosaur's situation.

Chu Yao's face changed. She saw some strange things in the room that Yilong had just entered.

The pterosaur had already advanced deeper. Chu Yao looked at the electronic screen in front of him with the code and used the wall-penetrating technique to flash past it.

It was still a clean, white room, but there were many more things on both sides of the room.

Long tables stood side by side. On top of them were square glass cages of varying sizes. These cages were neatly stacked together, dividing the room like a glass wall.

The cages are full of various animals.

There are little white mice, pairs of rabbits and monkeys, as well as cats, dogs, bats, and so on.

Chu Yao even saw a large tank in the corner of the room with a small dolphin in it.

For a moment, it felt like I had entered some kind of animal exhibition hall.

No, it's more like a laboratory than an exhibition hall.

What was a little strange was that each of these animals had a dull look on their faces, as if their souls had been taken away, and they all curled up in the corner of the cage, not moving.

Chu Yao saw that the body of a little rabbit was still rising and falling with its breathing, which proved that these animals were still alive, but for some reason, there was no reaction at all.

She even plucked up the courage to knock on the glass wall of the cage, but the animals still did not respond.

At the end of the long table at the innermost side, Chu Yao finally saw something different.

A small white mouse the size of a palm. But unlike the other animals, it was kept in a metal cage made of black iron, round on top and square on the bottom, like a birdcage.

Seeing Chu Yao coming, the little white mouse ran around excitedly, which made Chu Yao curious about it, so she walked up to it and looked at it.

Chu Yao was looking at it, and it, too, was observing this stranger with curiosity. Compared to the other dull-looking animals, it seemed particularly alert, squatting in its cage, its pair of tiny black eyes scanning Chu Yao's body.

However, that seems to be all.

Chu Yao didn't expect to find anything from the little mouse. She had other things to do, and if she delayed any longer, the pterosaur might be far away.

Just as she turned to leave, the little white mouse suddenly opened its mouth and started talking!

Upon hearing this, Chu Yao's hairs stood on end and her scalp felt numb and about to explode!

"Sister, can you take Xiaonan to find her mother?"
