The third continent, Xindu.
In a deep underground facility, two men were groping forward along the edge.
Judging from the tunnel-like semi-circular stone roof and the dirty water flowing along the main trunk, this is a sewer somewhere in Xindu.
The sewers in Xindu are all very large, with one-person-wide cement paths built on both sides, which are usually reserved for repair workers.
But the two men's clothing clearly did not make them maintenance workers.
They wore rubber gloves and tattered work clothes, with baskets tied to their backs filled with plastic bottles filled with yellow liquid.
Only a part of them were filled, and there were still many empty bottles that were not filled. It looked like they were the "goods" they had just found.
Even in summer, the sewers were bone-chillingly cold, and the murky, cool air, mixed with a foul odor, was deeply uncomfortable. The man walking behind, looking at the pitch-black darkness before him, shuddered violently.
"Brother, why don't we just go here? Look, the oil is all over the place. It doesn't matter where we pour it."
His voice was not loud, but the echo carried far away in the tunnel along with the water.
"You know shit!" the eldest brother shouted from the front. "The further you go in, the clearer the color becomes, and the harder it is to be seen, understand?"
"No matter how deep or clear it is, it still needs to be processed in the end..."
"What are you mumbling about? Don't you want to do this anymore?"
"Go, go, go, I didn't say I wouldn't do it!"
The man sighed and started to follow his elder brother. However, the more he walked, the more he started to grumble in his heart.
He arched his nose hard: "Brother, do you smell the smell of blood..."
"Isn't it normal to smell blood in the sewer? Lao Liu, this isn't the first day you've been down the sewer with me. Why are there so many things going on today?"
"No, brother, smell it, it really smells like blood."
"Big Brother" stopped, put his hands on his hips, and sniffed a few times. "Hmm...you're right, the smell is quite strong. I guess some restaurant slaughtered a few extra animals?"
Then, as if to prove his point, the eldest brother pointed to a piece of dry bones floating in the water not far away and said: "Look, it's probably a cow or a pig."
The younger brother named Lao Liu was getting more and more frightened the more he looked at it. This smell didn't seem like animal blood...
"Alright, alright, you look so scared, you're such a loser." The eldest brother looked at the sixth brother with disdain. "Then let's stop here today. You go here and I'll go over there."
Lao Liu breathed a sigh of relief and quickly put the basket behind him on the ground. He pinched his nose and poured the oil foam on the edge of the water with an empty bottle.
He tried his best to control himself and not pay attention to the half bone on the water surface, and his hands and feet were extremely nimble.
The remaining empty bottles were quickly filled. Lao Liu gathered them together and said, "Brother, I've finished this. You..."
Lao Liu raised his head and the rest of the words stopped at his lips.
The eldest brother's basket was still placed by the water not far away, but he was gone.
"You, don't scare me! Big brother, big brother!"
Lao Liu bravely shouted a few words, but there was no response. The huge tunnel was filled with empty echoes.
There were still more than half of the empty bottles left in the basket.
Lao Liu felt scared and his body shook violently. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, the scene before him frightened him so much that he was speechless.
A shadow emerged from the darkness. The shadow was disheveled and looked like a human, but it was crawling on the ground.
It was completely covered in a loose robe, its messy hair obscured its face, and its entire body was covered in blood.
What frightened Lao Liu the most was that this "thing" had a severed hand in its mouth.
"Hehe." The shadow let out a shrill, sinister laugh.
“Ah!! Ghost, ghost!!”
Lao Liu was so frightened that he didn't even want the oil he had just stolen. He threw the basket on his back and turned around and ran away.
Unfortunately, the shadow was faster than him. A huge force came from behind him, and he was dragged into the darkness while screaming.
The dark sewer became quiet again.
Then, a sudden male voice broke the silence:
"You really aren't picky about food."
A man suddenly appeared at the place where Lao Liu had just disappeared.
His appearance was so abrupt, his neat suit was out of place with the filth in the sewer.
The man's voice was mature and steady, with a hint of arrogance of a superior.
He had a mask on his face with a picture of a puppet's hand being pulled by strings.
A rustling sound came from the depths of the darkness. The "shadow" dragged its broken body slowly towards it, reached out and brushed its messy hair, revealing a small face covered in blood.
She is a "doll".
It seems that she did not die under Chu Yao's sword.
But it is unknown how she escaped.
"I want to be picky about food, but I have to have something to choose from." The doll said nonchalantly in that strange accent: "Why are you here, 'Puppet Master'?"
"I'm here to inform you," the puppeteer replied calmly, "The master has ordered that all internal members stationed in the Sky Sea return immediately."
"Return? How interesting." Wawa tilted her head, and a blood scab fell from her head. "This is truly a once-in-a-century event. Let me guess, could it be that the old ghosts up there have completely broken up with the Heavenly Alliance?"
"I just came to inform you."
"Don't be so cold. We are colleagues after all. For the sake of our old friendship, could you please give me some information, dear colleague?" Wawa winked at the other person.
