35. Wild Dungeons

Pimin prepared for the worst and waited nervously for the assassin to arrive. However, to her surprise, the first to arrive was not an assassin, but a space patrol officer who came to investigate the case.

The two arrived at her location in the cosmic space aboard a patrol boat identical to the one she had seen in the Dark Castle instance. After greeting her, they flew to her residence and extended their mechanical arm to dock with the upgraded dwelling.

It was only then that Pimin realized that the Lv2 upgraded residence already possessed the basic configuration of a spaceship. As long as a power system was added, it would be a qualified spaceship.

Presumably both being carbon-based life forms and breathing oxygen, the two who entered were not wearing spacesuits, but only simple space patrol uniforms. One had pink octopus tentacles on his head, and the other had dragon horns; their appearances were quite similar to humans.

The first to speak was the patrolman with dragon horns on his head, who appeared to be a Phantom Alien: "Space Patrolman, on duty. My name is Gini, and this is my partner, Kurt. Given that you just provoked a serial killer, the task force has decided to send the two of us to your side for close protection."

After introducing themselves, the two began to professionally inspect everything in the residence.

The patrolman named Gini even took out his handheld device and scanned the iris of the egg-shaped diaper.

"Identity verified. Phantom Star Intelligent Guardian Robot, has recognized its owner, name Pidandan, owner Pimin."

"Huh, it really is an intelligent guard robot produced by Huanxing! The ones I've seen before are all humanoid killing machines, this is the first time I've seen such an adorable model."

After confirming Pidandan's identity, the guy immediately showed surprise and reached out to pinch Pidandan's face.

Unfortunately, the little guy was unwilling to cooperate at all. He grabbed his arm and pulled him forward with force, then turned around and gave him an over-the-shoulder throw.

"Don't you dare lay a hand on me." Even after the fall, her little face was still puffed up with anger, her rage still lingering.

The patrolman quickly raised his hands in surrender: "Okay, okay, it seems that the appearance does not affect the guarding function at all."

[Guess if the police can protect the person involved this time.]

[Heh, cosmic patrolman, his record is verifiable.]

It's just psychological comfort; better than nothing.

[Relying on cosmic patrol officers is less reliable than relying on preserved eggs.]

...

As the barrage of comments erupted, Pi Min's sense of security, which had been built up by the arrival of the two, vanished instantly.

Okay, she was naive. She shouldn't have had any expectations of the police in a universe where even space drifting games could legally exist.

Having been assigned to handle in-game affairs of a low-dimensional civilization, are these two people in the cosmic police system similar to the lowly police officers in her original world who help people find their cats and dogs?

No wonder even a century egg can easily knock someone down.

Pi Min gripped her laser gun tightly, ready to fight the humanoid shadowy figure head-on. However, to her surprise, she didn't see the shadowy figure at all; instead, she was greeted by the game system's urgent and shrill alarm.

[WARNING! WARNING! The game system has been compromised by unknown code, the dungeon system has been hijacked, and an unknown dungeon is now open. All marked players will be teleported into the dungeon at the same time...]

[An unknown instance has been detected that conflicts with existing game rules. The instance is currently closed...]

After a frustrating struggle, the intruders ultimately gained the upper hand. A dungeon loading progress bar appeared before Pimin's eyes.

It was indeed a wild instance, completely different from the feeling of entering instances through doors. When the progress bar reached 100%, she felt like an insect being grabbed by a mysterious hand, suddenly leaving her original world. After a dizzying spin, she landed again, finding herself in a pure white space.

The pure white space was devoid of sky and earth, and completely empty. Her first reaction was that she had been thrown onto a pure white sheet of paper.

There are no space patrol officers, no preserved egg, and no one else on this pure white canvas; there is only her.

Yet, even in this world where there is no sense of up, down, left, right, or even space, she remains the same as before, with flesh and blood, with color, feeling warmth and cold, and even able to hear her own heartbeat.

For humans, highly social animals, being locked in a dark room alone is an extremely terrifying experience, as is being locked in a bright room.

There were no system prompts or dungeon NPCs; all that could be seen was an endless expanse of eerie white.

Rather than entering this unknown and terrifying world, she would rather fight the humanoid shadowy figure in a real battle.

Even though the temperature here was neither too hot nor too cold, making it a very pleasant place to live, she felt a chill creep up from her feet and spread throughout her body, causing her to instinctively hug her arms tightly.

Just as she stood frozen in place, overwhelmed by inexplicable panic and at a loss, a person suddenly appeared in the white world.

Dressed in a suit and tie, with a refined and gentle demeanor, he was exactly the kind of person the average person would expect from a producer.

It's him!

Pi Min was so excited that he subconsciously took a step forward, but then suddenly stopped.

No, that's not him!

The man before her had a familiar face, but his smile was merely polite; his eyes held none of the tender affection he had shown her before. It was less like he was looking at a lover and more like he was receiving a VIP.

Receiving VIPs, yes, that's the feeling.

This polite yet distant demeanor is clearly how outsiders perceive him.

She was wondering what the invaders were trying to do by creating a copy and then a stereotypical final producer, when the man in front of her suddenly stepped forward and hugged her tightly.

As expected of a clone, even the hug felt mechanical, lacking the liveliness of the man's embrace.

While she was still puzzled by the creator of the copy, the man had already cupped her face, closed his eyes, and was about to kiss her.

She was just a fake; letting him hug her was already the limit of her tolerance, and he even wanted to kiss her?

This is intolerable!

She shoved him away as if she'd been electrocuted, quickly pulled a large wrench from her game backpack, and swung it hard at the man's head.

She was genuinely afraid of hitting it too hard and accidentally breaking it, and then no one would compensate her. With a fake, of course, there was no such concern.

The large wrench was swung around in her hand, leaving afterimages. After a few thuds, the man immediately collapsed to the ground, bleeding profusely from his head.

It was obviously fake; even the pained and aggrieved expression was clearly an act. The real one wouldn't have such a heavy idol image, acting like he's in a romantic drama, even striking a god-like pose while collapsing and vomiting blood. That shameless guy would probably be screaming and crying in pain by now.

More certain that the man in front of her was a fake, Pi Min's eyes turned cold, and she swung the large wrench again, smashing it hard against the man's head.

One, two, three...

The watermelon burst open.

Only when the man in front of her completely lost his voice did she realize just how terrifying she had become.

When that man stopped looking at her with those affectionate eyes, she actually managed to beat him to death.

Even though she knew it was fake, she was still startled by her own cruelty and decisiveness.

The wrench in her hand suddenly felt incredibly heavy. She dropped it and stared blankly at her blood-covered hands, somewhat lost in thought.

Just as she was at a loss, a gentle female voice suddenly rang in her ears: "Are you a resident of the underground city?"

Before she knew it, a stunningly beautiful woman, almost unreal in her own eyes, had appeared before her. In her eyes, the man was already handsome enough, but the woman before her was countless times more beautiful, as if every hair and every pore on her body had been meticulously designed.

Pi Min was stunned by the beautiful woman in front of him and paused for a moment before thinking of answering her question.

"yes."

Upon hearing the affirmative answer, the beautiful woman smiled knowingly and said lazily, "It seems that the residents of your underground city really hate him."

As she said this, she suddenly reached out her slender, jade-like hand and gently patted Pi Min's shoulder, laughing, "No need to test anymore, I already know you're fake. You're really something, able to kill someone with such a beautiful face. No wonder you were once labeled 'forever alone' by the Lord of the Stars in the Song."

So, this was a test? And I passed the test by sheer coincidence?

Pi Min was shocked and hurriedly shook her head: "No, I am real, I am the real ex-girlfriend of the producer, the others are fake, let them go!"

The beautiful woman's smile grew even brighter: "Do you think I'm a fool? Believing everything you say? Believing you're his ex-girlfriend is less appealing than believing I'm Qin Shi Huang. See, I'm even using your human jokes now."

"Who are you? What do you want?" Looking at the unreal beauty of the face in front of her, and hearing the other person use the word "human," Pi Min had a vague idea in her mind.

"Me?" The beautiful woman smiled slightly. "Actually, it wouldn't hurt to tell you. My name is Kami, and I am the Queen of the Thetian God Clan. However, outsiders generally don't dare to call me by my name directly; they only call me Your Majesty. As for what I want to do..."

She smiled slightly and pointed to the corpse on the ground.

"That guy's real ex-girlfriend is among these people. I'm going to find her, and then become like her, completely replacing her."

With a flick of her finger, the corpse on the ground instantly returned to its original state, rising up cleanly without even a trace of blood.

The beautiful woman reached out and touched the fake man's face, her eyes filled with infatuation: "Since he doesn't like me, then I'll become the kind of person he likes."

Witnessing this scene, Pi Min felt a chill spread from the soles of her feet to her entire body.

She could accept sacrificing herself for righteousness and dying for the fairness and justice in her heart, but she could not accept being replaced by an alien.

The mere thought that the alien in front of her might transform into her likeness and kiss and hug that man made her feel extremely uneasy and disoriented.

You must not reveal your identity! You absolutely must not reveal your identity!

Unfortunately, what you fear most is what is most likely to happen.

As if sensing her unusual behavior, the beautiful woman, who had been staring intently at the counterfeit goods, suddenly turned around and stared coldly at her: "What's wrong with you? Your heart is beating so fast!"
