Chapter 309 Surprise
Qu Jingyou's anger did not subside at all.
She was still fuming until she went inside.
But before she even entered the house, she heard some noise.
What was that sound?
Lu Zuofan smiled at her and said, "Why don't you go in and take a look?"
Qu Jingyou suddenly opened her eyes wide.
She thought she heard a puppy barking.
It's a puppy.
Was she hallucinating, or did one of her neighbors own a dog?
Without thinking much of it, she looked around but saw nothing.
Lu Zuofan pulled her arm and led her inside.
As soon as I opened the door, a fluffy little thing pounced at my feet.
Qu Jingyou exclaimed in surprise, then quickly lowered her voice.
I was afraid of scaring the little guy.
It's a white, chubby little dog.
Qu Jingyou was overjoyed. The little guy circled around her feet, wagging his little tail so fast it was almost blurry.
"Two months old, Samoyed, still no name." Lu Zuofan spoke up from the side, "Do you like it?"
Qu Jingyou was still angry with Lu Zuofan, but at this point she had completely forgotten about him.
"I love it! Can I hug it?"
Lu Zuofan said, "Yes, strictly speaking, it was bought because of you."
Qu Jingyou had already picked up the little guy. Despite his small size, he was quite heavy, all flesh and bones.
She's so beautiful; I can only imagine how adorable she'll be when she grows up, a true smiling angel.
Qu Jingyou absolutely adores it.
She carried it inside, and just as she was about to sit on the sofa, she heard a soft, sweet meow.
Upon closer inspection, she noticed a kitten on the sofa.
It is a small rag doll with big blue eyes, snow-white fur, and dark ears that extend to its back.
They're even cuter than puppies.
“It’s a Ragdoll cat, fifty days old,” Lu Zuofan said. “It hasn’t been named yet.”
"Oh my god!" Qu Jingyou sat down and, without asking any questions, picked up the kitten as well.
Ragdoll cats are gentle and small, much smaller than Samoyeds.
She hugged them both tightly, feeling like the happiest person in the world.
"How can he be so cute? So adorable!"
"I love it!"
"Oh my god! Lu Zuofan, are you going to keep them?"
Lu Zuofan looked down at her, his eyes full of tenderness: "Yes, I want to raise them."
"Oh my god, that's wonderful!" Qu Jingyou exclaimed in surprise, then fell into deep envy: "That's so nice, I want to raise one too."
“They’re for you to raise,” Lu Zuofan said. “If you want to see them, come to my house.”
Qu Jingyou realized what was going on: "You want me to come to your house more often, right? How did you know I like them?"
“When you ignored me, I saw you watching those videos.”
"Hmph!" Qu Jingyou snorted, then couldn't help but touch the little one in her arms: "So cute."
They have completely captured Qu Jingyou's heart.
That's easy.
Lu Zuofan even wanted to transform into a kitten or puppy so that she could hug him and pet him.
Qu Jingyou said happily, "You're so clever! You knew I liked these things, so you deliberately used them to attract me."
"Yes," Lu Zuofan admitted. "So, would you consider this a surprise?"
"I guess so." Qu Jingyou snorted again, "Did you buy everything else?"
Although she doesn't keep pets, she already has a lot of knowledge about pet care.
"I bought everything," Lu Zuofan said. "Shall we go check if anything is missing?"
"good."
Qu Jingyou put down the little Samoyed and picked up the little rag doll.
The Samoyed was too heavy; her arms ached from carrying it.
Lu Zuofan bought a complete range of items.
The kitten is so small, yet a huge cat tree is already in the room.
Dog food, cat food, canned food, freeze-dried food, milk cakes, meat sticks, litter boxes, cat toys, dog leashes, and small clothes.
It has everything.
If you didn't know better, you'd think this was a small pet supply store.
"We haven't named her yet," Lu Zuofan said. "Jingjing, you name her."
Qu Jingyou knew very well that once she named the two little ones and fell in love with them, she would be entangled with Lu Zuofan.
She could stop talking to Lu Zuofan after two months.
But she certainly couldn't ignore the two little ones.
Lu Zuofan's plan was too shrewd.
But Qu Jingyou simply couldn't resist such temptation.
She wouldn't care about any other kind of surprise.
But these are two living, breathing little lives.
Qu Jingyou looked at him: "Lu Zuofan, I know what you mean. You know I like them, so you want to use them to keep me here."
“No,” Lu Zuofan said. “If you want to be friends with me in two months, then we can be friends. You can come to see them anytime then, without waiting for me to be home. This place can be your little haven when you’re away.”
He added, "If you never want to see me again, then I won't appear in front of you, but you can still keep them here."
Qu Jingyou said irritably, "I'll take them all with me then, and I can use my own house to raise them."
“You can,” Lu Zuofan said. “It’s up to you. So, let’s name them.”
Qu Jingyou had long thought about what to name her pet if she had one.
She never expected that Lu Zuofan would prepare two surprises for her.
She had initially thought of the name "Rice Ball" because she used to really enjoy eating rice balls.
Qu Chongyou even laughed at her, saying that naming a pet after food is something that people of a certain age should do. Someone of Qu Jingyou's age should be given a very strange name.
But Qu Jingyou just thought "Fantuan" sounded better.
And cute.
Now there are two little ones.
One name is not enough.
She thought for a moment and said, "The Samoyed is called Fanfan, and the rag doll is called Tuantuan."
Lu Zuofan smiled and said, "It sounds nice."
Qu Jingyou's attention was entirely focused on the two little ones.
Lu Zuofan led her back to the living room.
She held Tuantuan in her arms, while Lu Zuofan held Fanfan.
“Feed them first,” Lu Zuofan said. “Then you can have some dessert.”
"good."
The kitten ate so gracefully and delicately.
Then look at Fanfan, wolfing down her food as if she hadn't eaten for centuries.
Qu Jingyou squatted on the ground and looked at it, then sighed and said, "I shouldn't have named it Fanfan. What if it only likes to eat dry rice and eats itself into a bucket?"
"It's not too late to change your name now."
"Never mind," Qu Jingyou said, "I won't change it, this is what we'll call it."
Lu Zuofan pulled her up: "Get up, your legs will go numb if you squat for too long. What do you want to eat first? Cake or daifuku?"
Qu Jingyou kept looking back as she walked: "Anything is fine."
She was also absent-minded while eating.
But after the two little ones finished eating, they both ran over and surrounded her.
Especially Fanfan, who tried several times to lift her two front legs to pry her legs, but she was too fat and too clumsy to stand up.
This made Qu Jingyou laugh so hard she almost fell over.
At lunchtime, Lu Zuofan asked someone to bring over a baby chair and put the food on it.
Tuantuan is always busy; the little one runs around everywhere, unlike Fanfan, who stays glued to Qu Jingyou and hums beside her while she eats.
"I don't want to go to driving school this afternoon," Qu Jingyou said. "Let's go tomorrow."
