Chapter 157 Finding the Carrier Pigeon

Chapter 157 Finding the Carrier Pigeon

Yue Fuli quickly found the carrier pigeon that had just completed its mission and was eating.

Now that the carrier pigeon had been found, it would be much easier to find its owner. Therefore, Yue Fuli headed straight for the main courtyard, but found nothing. The owner of the carrier pigeon happened to be delivering a letter to his superior.

Unable to find the owner of the yard for a while, Yue Fuli was not idle either. She directly caught a gossipy old woman and soon found out the information of the owner of the house.

But Yue Fuli never dreamed that the owner of this house was related to the prime minister in the court.

The Prime Minister and the General, one civil and one military, should have complemented each other. But why did the Prime Minister want to go against the General? Moreover, Yue Fuli had never heard of any enmity between the Yue family and the Prime Minister's Mansion.

Or was it that the one who really wanted to do this was not the prime minister, but the emperor whom she initially suspected?

Yue Fuli thought a lot at once, but these were still his guesses. Unless there was solid evidence, it would be troublesome if he was wrong.

However, it is easy to get evidence. Just go to the Prime Minister's Mansion and you will find out.

Thinking of this, Yue Fuli went straight to the Prime Minister's Mansion.

When she arrived, she saw that the Prime Minister's study was still brightly lit, which gave her a bad feeling. She quietly approached the Prime Minister's study and put her ear to the window.

The conversation in the room easily reached Yue Fuli's ears, but it was not the news she wanted. The person with the Prime Minister was not the owner of the pigeon as he thought.

Disappointed, Yue Fuli listened to the corner for a while and then returned to the pigeon's owner. When she returned, she found that the man had already returned and was about to go to bed.

How could he sleep when she hadn't gotten the news she wanted?

Therefore, Yue Fuli knocked the man unconscious, brought him into her space, and then began to interrogate him.

When the pigeon's owner woke up, he found himself in an unfamiliar place and a strange young man with a cold face.

"You, who are you? Where is this?" The man looked at Yue Fuli with fear and asked, "You, what do you want to do?"

"Nothing, I just want to ask you a few questions. Answer me honestly, or your life will be in danger. Understand?"

The man was afraid in his heart, but he said, "What do you want to ask? I, I may not know."

"You must know the questions I am going to ask. It just depends on whether you are willing to answer them." Yue Fuli said lightly.

But her words did not reassure the man, but made him even more afraid. He couldn't help but think of what he had just done when he went out. If this was what she asked, should he answer or not?

If he answered, he would betray his master. If he didn't answer, his life would be in danger. He didn't want to betray his master or lose his life.

So, how should he respond?

When Yue Fuli asked him who he had just met, the man suddenly felt that everything was settled.

But he hadn't figured out how to answer, so he could only look at Yue Fuli in silence.

Seeing him like this, Yue Fuli couldn't help but laugh and said, "You know what? I like people who are stubborn because I can use torture to make them confess."

Hearing the word "torture," the man couldn't help but shudder. He knew about torture and had seen it before; it was horrific.

He couldn't even bear to watch it, let alone experience it himself?
