Chapter 202 I Quit
"I'll go right away." Wuyou clasped his fists and left in a hurry.
Not long after, Wuyou came back. But he didn't come back alone, he was carrying someone in his arms.
He threw the man directly at Yue Fuli's feet and said, "Master, this is the boy. I brought him to you."
The young man lay on the ground, looked up at Yue Fuli and Wuyou, and said unhappily, "Who are you and why are you arresting me?"
"You don't know who we are?" Yue Fuli glanced at the boy calmly and asked, "Tell me, who told you to keep an eye on us?"
"I don't know what you are talking about." The young man argued cunningly, but a guilty look flashed in his eyes.
"Really?" Yue Fuli said as he pulled out a needle from his pocket, gestured in front of the boy's eyes, and said, "It's been a while since I used a needle to prick someone, so I can give it a try today. By the way, I heard that adding some salt after the prick will make it more sour and refreshing. Do you want to try it?"
"You, are you going to resort to lynching?" The boy turned pale with fear. Although he was not afraid of needles, Yue Fuli's words frightened him.
He has never experienced anything like rubbing salt into the wound, but he has seen it happen.
"What do you think?" Yue Fuli said, while gesturing with the needle on the boy's body. As he gestured, he said, "Is this position better? Or this position? Or, how about piercing the eye first?"
As soon as the words fell, the needle in Yue Fuli's hand stopped directly on the boy's eyes, frightening him so much that he screamed, and then said, "Don't poke, don't poke, I'll tell you, isn't it okay?"
"It would have been nice if you had done this earlier." Yue Fuli looked at the boy with dissatisfaction, then put away the needle and said, "Tell me, if you dare to lie to me, I will blind both of your eyes."
"I'm not lying to you. I'm not lying to you." The young man turned pale with fear, and then he confessed that he was instructed to keep an eye on Yue Fuli and his group.
"Who ordered you to do that?"
"Yes, it's a military master."
"Where does he live?"
"I don't know about that. He found me this morning and told me to keep an eye on you guys, and gave me one or two ounces of silver as a reward."
"What else did he say?"
"No!" the boy shook his head and said, "He just asked me to keep an eye on you, but didn't tell me what to do."
Seeing that he couldn't get anything out of the boy, Yue Fuli didn't waste any more time. After scaring him, he let him go.
As soon as the young man left, Hu Wei came over and said to Yue Fuli, "Master Li, I got the news that someone is investigating us. We need to sell this batch of goods as soon as possible and leave here."
Unexpectedly, Yue Fuli shook her head and said, "Don't worry."
Yue Fuli already had a guess about who was staring at her, but she still needed to confirm it.
So, she didn't plan to leave immediately, but instead planned to wait and see if her guess was correct.
Seeing that Yue Fuli had already made up her mind, Hu Wei didn't say anything more. However, after returning, he told his brothers to be more vigilant to avoid being ambushed.
As for the young man, after leaving Yue Fuli, he was about to go home. However, he was stopped by someone just as he reached an alley.
When I looked up, I found that the person blocking the road was the person who was looking for me in the morning.
The boy was startled and frightened. He looked around but saw no one. Then he said, "Why are you here? Let me be clear, I won't be doing any more surveillance."
