Chapter 450: Delivering a Letter

Chapter 450: Delivering a Letter

Before, someone was watching him along the way, so it was difficult for him to deliver the letter. Now that those people have left, he can give it a try.

The middle-aged man thought as he quietly left the yard, ready to deliver the letter. Unexpectedly, Yue Fuli placed a tracking talisman on him, and Yue Fuli discovered his movements as soon as he moved, so she quietly followed him.

As for Mei Niang, there were naturally people watching her in secret. However, Mei Niang was honest and did not go out.

After the middle-aged man left the yard, he walked forward, cautiously looking behind him from time to time. He was afraid that someone was following him, so he was particularly careful.

He looked around for a long time but didn't find anyone following him, so he felt relieved. He had no idea that Yue Fuli had been following him invisibly.

The middle-aged man walked two streets before stopping in front of a shop.

Yue Fuli took a look and saw that it was a shop selling silk and satin. It was noon and there were not many people in the shop.

The middle-aged man waited outside for a while, and after confirming that there was no tail behind him, he walked in.

As soon as he entered, he did not rush to look for anyone, but instead walked around in front of the silk shop. After the last customer left the shop, he walked towards the shopkeeper.

"Sir, what can I help you with?" The shopkeeper looked at the middle-aged man and asked in a friendly manner.

The middle-aged man didn't say anything, but showed his palm. On his palm lay a black token.

The shopkeeper's expression changed when he saw the token. But he quickly reacted and greeted the middle-aged man with a smile, "Sir, I still have some fabrics in my warehouse. You can come with me to take a look."

The middle-aged man nodded and followed the shopkeeper into the backyard.

As soon as he entered the backyard, the middle-aged man did not waste any time and told the shopkeeper the information directly. After the shopkeeper wrote it down, he went into the inner room and brought out a bundle of cloth, pretending to let the middle-aged man check it.

The middle-aged man asked for a few feet as a token of his respect before leaving.

If Yue Fuli had not followed the middle-aged man, she would have had no idea that he was going to meet with the shopkeeper and would have thought that he was simply going to buy cloth.

The middle-aged man holding the cloth stood at the door of the shop first and looked around to make sure there was no suspicious person. Then he walked out and went to the yard where Yue Fuli and the others were temporarily staying.

Yue Fuli did not follow the middle-aged man out, but stayed in the shop, wanting to see how the shopkeeper would deliver the message and to whom he would deliver it.

Fortunately, Yue Fuli didn't have to wait long before she saw the shopkeeper leave. He was holding a piece of cloth and walking straight towards the general's mansion.

Yue Fuli saw the shopkeeper hand the cloth to the doorman of the general's mansion and left immediately.

After the shopkeeper left, Yue Fuli quietly entered the general's mansion. She wanted to see who was living in the general's mansion, Yue Zhenhu or the military supervisor named Zhou.

However, Yue Fuli didn't see anyone. It was still daytime, and both Yue Zhenhu and the Zhou family were in the barracks.

However, she did see the doorman hand the cloth to a maid.

After walking around the general's mansion, Yue Fuli confirmed who the nanny was with, and did not stay for long, but went straight back to the yard next door.

When she returned, the middle-aged man was talking to Mei Niang. Next to him was the piece of cloth she had brought back from the shop.

Seeing Bu, Mei Niang was confused and asked worriedly, "Uncle San, no one saw you when you went out, right?"
