Chapter 230 Lingling's Birth

Qi Yuning was full of nervousness. She didn't eat much at lunch time. Every moment of the afternoon was extremely unbearable.

Even Lu Ze lost his usual composure. He looked at Qi Yuning and asked, "Why hasn't Lingling been born yet? Isn't she born on September 9th?"

Qi Yuning touched her belly and said, "It's almost dusk. Is Lingling really not coming?"

In the dream, this should have been the most difficult time of labor, but she still didn't feel any pain at all.

At dusk, Qi Yuning and Lu Ze were walking in the yard as before. As they walked, Qi Yuning felt a pain and a warm current running down her thigh.

Although she was in pain, Qi Yuning was extremely happy at the moment: "Lu Ze, Lingling, Lingling is coming."

Lu Zelian picked up Qi Yuning horizontally and carried her back to the bed in the room. The princess's mansion had already made preparations for today's birthday, and the maids went to invite the female doctor and midwife.

Qi Yuning felt as if she had endured all the hardships she had never experienced in her life before. She looked at Lu Ze with pain and said, "If I said I didn't want to have any more children in the future, would you blame me?"

Lu Ze kissed Qi Yuning's brow, which was furrowed in pain, and said, "One Lingling is enough."

Qi Yuning took a deep breath and said, "I know that giving birth is painful, but I didn't expect it to be this painful..."

When the maidservant asked the midwife to come, she heard Qi Yuning's words and said, "This is just the beginning. I'm afraid it will hurt more later!"

Xiaoman's eyes turned red when she heard this and she said, "My princess has never suffered any pain before. Can you please not feel any pain?"

"It's bound to hurt," the midwife said. "Please, Lord Regent, please leave immediately."

Qi Yuning looked at Lu Ze standing aside and said, "Go away! Don't let Lu Baozhu in!"

After Lu Ze was kicked out of the delivery room, he felt that every moment was unbearable, and every moment felt like three autumns.

There were constant cries of pain coming from the house. Lu Ze wanted to go in, but he was afraid that Qi Yuning would complain.

I had to wait outside the house.

Princess Pingrou and Duke Lu hurried over upon hearing the news.

Princess Pingrou, wearing a string of Buddhist beads in her hand, said, "Greatly compassionate Guanyin Bodhisattva, bless my daughter-in-law Qi Yuning to have a safe delivery. Father, Old Prince Qi, you must also bless Yuning and her daughter to be safe!"

Lu Baozhu got the news and came running. She wanted to go in and see Qi Yuning regardless of the obstruction, but she was stopped by Lu Ze before she could go in.

Hearing Qi Yuning's cries of pain, Lu Baozhu's eyes turned red and she said, "Qi Yuning, nothing must happen to you. Nothing must happen to you."

Lu Ze was pacing outside while waiting, his forehead covered with cold sweat. He could not stop sweating, but there was no movement inside. He could not bear it any longer, so he went in without caring whether Qi Yuning would complain in the future.

When Qi Yuning saw Lu Ze enter the room while he was exerting his strength, he frowned and said, "Didn't I tell you not to come over? Hiss!"

Lu Ze walked up to Qi Yuning and said, "I really can't wait here alone any longer."

"The head is coming out, coming, coming!"

Qi Yuning clenched her teeth. When she heard a loud cry, she breathed a sigh of relief and said weakly, "Is that Lingling? Lu Ze, come and see if it's Lingling?"

Lu Ze held Qi Yuning's hand tightly and asked, "Are you okay?"

Qi Yuning said weakly: "I'm fine."

The midwife wiped the newborn baby briefly, placed it on a large scale, and weighed it, saying, "Seven pounds and five ounces. The princess is truly amazing."

Lu Ze took the little baby in the cradle from the midwife's hands. The baby was wrinkled, with one small eye open, and you could vaguely see some of the baby's spirit.

Lu Ze carried the baby to Qi Yuning. Qi Yuning looked at the baby, a baby she was related to by blood. Tears welled up in her eyes. "I have another person who is related to me by blood, Lingling! Mother finally sees you again."

Lu Ze touched Lingling's wrinkled face and said to Qi Yuning, "You've worked hard."

Qi Yuning said: "Everything is worth it for Lingling."

Qi Yuning let the maid wash her, but her eyes could not leave Lingling until the midwife said that she wanted to feed Lingling. Qi Yuning let the wet nurse carry Lingling to the side room to feed her, and by the way, she went to show it to Princess Pingrou and Duke Lu.

After Qi Yuning finished scrubbing, she lay on the bed and looked at Lu Ze weakly beside her and said, "Is it dark outside?"

Lu Ze nodded and said, "Yeah, it's getting dark, almost midnight."

Qi Yuning smiled and said, "No wonder Lingling likes to sleep until noon every day. It turns out she was born late."

After waiting for Ali to bring Lingling back, Qi Yuning held Lingling in his arms despite feeling uncomfortable, and looked at her little face full of satisfaction.

Qi Yuning felt that she could look at Lingling like this until the end of time.

Lichun entered and said, "Your Majesty, Princess, there's a young Taoist priest outside who said that their master, Taoist He, heard that you two had a daughter today, and he specially gave you a jade pendant."

Lichun handed a wooden box to Lu Ze.

Lu Ze opened the wooden box and saw a small jade locket. The small words on the back were exactly the same Lanling warm jade locket that Lingling had worn before.

Qi Yuning came forward and whispered, "Master He? We've been looking for him for so long, and he finally came here on his own."

Lu Ze gave the jade lock to Qi Yuning. After seeing the jade lock, Qi Yuning ordered the maid to get a red rope and put it around Lingling's neck.

After putting the jade lock on Lingling, Lingling opened her eyes, and her shiny black eyes were very cute.
