Chapter 599 The Structure of the Underworld

"I have no idea!"

"You don't know? Are you just not willing to tell me? Did I go too far? Do you believe I'll smash your brains out?"

"I really don't know. Hades has eighteen ghost kings under his command, but I don't know how many of us there are, but there are probably many, many more."

"What? You mean you're not orthodox?"

"How could that be! The Ten Kings of Hell, do you think someone like you could summon them?"

Fang Ruotang immediately retorted.

"What's wrong with someone like me? Am I only fit to summon trash like you? That's hilarious. You tried to insult me, but you've only insulted yourself instead. You deserve it."

Fang Ruotang doesn't indulge the other party at all, and she won't let it cause internal strife.

At least for now, she's the one stepping on the other person's head.

"I come from the Abyss of Oblivion, a lost land that even the Underworld cannot fully control. It is home to extremely dangerous beings, including two Ghost Kings who are more powerful than me."

“But you’re not that great either!” Fang Ruotang retorted, puzzled.

"My ghostly power is suppressed. You smashed that broken jade, and now you want to fight me again? Let's see if I can smash your brains out!"

"What did you say!" Fang Ruotang said angrily, increasing the pressure of her footsteps.

The Ghost King grumbled and cursed, showing no sign of weakness. Fang Ruotang was speechless and too lazy to argue with him about the details, so she continued asking questions.

"So, the Forgotten Abyss only has three Ghost Kings?"

"Are you kidding me? How could there be only three ghost kings in a place that even the officials of the underworld can't control? It's just that each ghost king occupies a different area and rarely crosses the line."

Fang Ruotang thought of a possibility.

"So you mean there's a no-man's-land there, where you ghost kings are like local lords, each occupying a territory, while the Ten Kings of Hell are like the central government of our human court, right?"

Fang Ruotang, with her small head but great wisdom, quickly figured out the relationship between the ghost kings she had summoned and the underworld.

After all that, she realized she had misunderstood. These weren't regular troops at all; they might even be notorious in the underworld.

Thinking about it now, it makes sense.

After all, back in the secret realm, every encounter meant certain death.

The proper ghost kings are not evil; they are powerful administrators with specific duties who maintain order in the underworld.

The Ghost King paid no heed to Fang Ruotang's words; he was still struggling to think of a counterattack.

"Okay, I'll give you a chance. Let's try again. If you lose, you'll have to help me steal someone."

Now, Fang Ruotang had no burden at all.

He was never a good person to begin with, so if he commits another crime, it's just a little stain on his already tarnished resume, nothing serious.

"Fine! If I win, I'll eat you!"

After Fang Ruotang loosened her foot and took a step back, the Ghost King immediately stood up.

Its eyes were scarlet, the pupils were terrifyingly red, but at the same time they emitted a green light, making the whole ghost look like something bad.

"Huh!"

Fang Ruotang curled her lips in disgust.

The thought of eating such a foul-smelling thing made her hair stand on end, and she felt physically nauseous.

While she was feeling nauseous, the Ghost King opposite her abandoned all martial ethics and began to draw an arc in front of his chest with his left hand and lightly tap along the track with two fingers of his right hand, chanting incantations.

Fang Ruotang thought the move was a bit simple, and since she could understand what the Ghost King was muttering, she imitated it out of curiosity.

Then an amazing thing happened.

After the Ghost King finished chanting the incantation, black lines slowly emerged.

Fang Ruotang, on the other hand, felt as if she had plunged headfirst into a ball of black threads, her entire body surrounded by black threads filled with resentment.

A tiny figure with a fair complexion and innocent eyes tilted its head, looking at the Ghost King opposite it and asking, "What's next?"

The Ghost King was stunned. Just now, when Fang Ruotang stepped on his head, he had shown no sign of giving up and was determined to fight back. But now, he felt a sense of retreat and fear.

"What... exactly are you?"

"You're the one who's a piece of trash."

Fang Ruotang was unhappy and a little temperamental. Then, the black line behind her, as if sensing her emotions and wanting to vent her anger, suddenly pounced on the Ghost King.

The Ghost King was surrounded by black lines of curses, but compared to Fang Ruotang's quantity, they were like a small stream compared to the ocean.

They were swallowed up in an instant, while the Ghost King, like meat on a chopping board, was bound by those black threads and suspended in the air.

Fang Ruotang suddenly realized, "So that's how these black lines are used. Then... what about this door?"

She saw a black doorway that had inexplicably appeared beside her, and without a doubt knew that it must have been summoned by the Ghost King.

A single door hangs in the open space, its door wide open, revealing a pitch-black interior filled with endless darkness. Yet, Fang Ruotang can sense the deathly aura emanating from within, making her feel very uncomfortable.

She felt no discomfort speaking so closely to these ghost kings, but the area behind this door made her uneasy, suggesting it was an extremely ominous place.

The Ghost King remained silent, still determined to retaliate.

Fang Ruotang said innocently, "Since you won't tell me, then go and see for yourself and help me find the answer!"

The Ghost King froze, struggled frantically, and roared helplessly.

Finally, when he saw Fang Ruotang directing the cursed black lines to actually shove him into the cursed gate, he struggled violently and roared.

"No, don't throw me in! I'll help you steal people! Didn't you want to rescue people? I'll help you rescue people, one, no! I'll rescue two!"

Fang Ruotang raised an eyebrow, and with a thought, the black lines stopped flowing.

Looking at the black lines that seemed to be alive, Fang Ruotang actually felt a little scared, but the sensations coming from her body and mind told her that these black lines would not harm her.

"What if I let you go, and you run away?"

"You can't escape. You have the Netherworld Jade in your hand, and you can summon me back at any time."

"It's good that you know!"

Fang Ruotang nodded in satisfaction, wanting him to give the answer himself.

She didn't believe these evil demon kings could keep their word.

"Just a friendly reminder, you're the first one to steal someone, so your chances of success are the highest. If you run away this time and wait until later to act, and the other ghost kings alert the regular army of the underworld, I'm afraid you won't be able to accomplish this. In that case, I have no choice but to stuff you into this door."

Fang Ruotang didn't know what location was behind this door, but it certainly wasn't a good location. Even the Ghost King, who reigned supreme in the no-man's-land, was afraid of this place. Could it be some scenic mountain or water?

The Ghost King's heart skipped a beat; his thoughts had been guessed.

But after someone pointed it out, I realized that what they said was true.

"Go and bring out a man named Zhou Qing. As for the other one, bring whoever you can."
