"Why should Prince Rong teach him? Is his riding skill as good as mine?" Huo Zhige turned his horse around unhappily, blocking Prince Rong's path as he rode toward Fang Ruotang.
He looked at Rong Shizi defiantly.
"You don't need to do this, I'll do it."
Prince Rong didn't take the initiative simply because he didn't want to put the little dumpling in a difficult position, nor did he want the little dumpling to misunderstand him and think he was some kind of bad person.
After all, regardless of whether Miss Fang initiated the annulment of the engagement, they had been engaged for several years. He was afraid that revealing his feelings to Xiao Tuanzi too quickly would scare her away.
But this doesn't mean he has no plan in mind, nor does it mean he'll hand over the opportunity that's within his grasp.
Fang Ruotang was completely oblivious to the exchange between the two. When Rong Shizi looked at her, she asked him with righteous indignation, "Why are you looking at me like that? Can't you teach me?"
Huo Zhige chuckled, “That’s right, he won’t teach, I will. I’m a young general who has been fighting on horseback for many years, my riding skills are much better than theirs.”
Fang Ruotang was somewhat persuaded.
Prince Rong said calmly, "He rides too wildly. It's not suitable for a novice like you. You're likely to fall off the horse."
"Then I don't need you to teach me." Fang Ruotang immediately rejected Huo Zhige's suggestion upon hearing that she might fall off the horse, and then said nervously, "You won't make me fall off the horse, will you?"
"No, I'll protect you. Let's go over there!"
Rong Shizi may seem calm and collected, but he is not someone to be trifled with. He was just stopped by Huo Zhige, so he rode over and deliberately bumped Huo Zhige with his horse's head.
Huo Zhige's expression changed on the spot.
The crown prince warned in a deep voice, "Don't go crazy."
"Am I crazy?" Huo Zhige was extremely displeased, especially when he saw Rong Shizi deliberately taking Fang Ruotang aside to be alone.
"Are you going to stay this emotional all the time?" The Crown Prince lowered his eyebrows, a hint of displeasure in his eyes.
Huo Zhige was arrogant and unruly, and did not take the Crown Prince's pressure seriously. Instead, he glared at him angrily and said, "We all have to go to war. Why should Prince Rong accompany my little darling? Is he as powerful as me? Is he as good at fighting as me?"
The crown prince spoke sharply, "Didn't you just disagree with attacking Northern Liang?"
Huo Zhige was briefly at a loss for words, then suddenly sneered, "Why should I listen to you? Everyone should rely on their own methods."
After Huo Zhige finished speaking, the Crown Prince had already blocked Huo Zhige's path with his horse. Not only him, but also the young prince, Prince An, and Minister Ye stopped watching the spectacle and joined in.
"That's enough. We came out hunting to please Miss Fang, not to please you, understand?"
"Who do you think you are, daring to lecture me?" Huo Zhige's anger instantly turned towards Ye Shilang.
Ye Shilang's gentle and easily bullied face suddenly turned cold.
"It seems your Huo family army is overfed, otherwise how could they have raised such a simple-minded, physically strong thing like you?"
"What did you say?" Huo Zhige roared in fury.
His personality was not gentle. After all, it would be difficult for a young man who saw blood on the battlefield every day to remain calm and gentle in an environment where he killed people every day or watched his comrades being killed.
Furthermore, he is accustomed to interpersonal relationships where he will start fighting at the drop of a hat.
In the army, if brothers disagree, they will settle their differences by fighting in the training ground. Whoever wins will be obeyed. This is why Huo Zhige, who had just arrived in the capital, seemed to lack any composure in front of the other five, and instead appeared quite reckless.
"I don't care what's bothering you, but you'd better put up with it today. If you spoil Little Six's fun, I'll skin you alive." Prince An said gently but ruthlessly.
Huo Zhige sneered disdainfully, "You think you're worthy?"
"Give it a try," Prince An said with a cold smile.
Because of Huo Zhige's previous kidnapping of Fang Ruotang and forced kissing of her, all five people in the capital, except for the Crown Prince, were actually targeting him.
After all, the Crown Prince was ahead of them, and his status and methods were superior, so they accepted that. But what right did this Huo Zhige, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, have?
However, they all had an unspoken agreement not to show their unsavory side to Fang Ruotang, but Huo Zhige did not abide by this rule.
Not only was Huo Zhige tolerating the presence of these five people, but these five people were also trying their best to ignore Huo Zhige, otherwise, they would be fighting endlessly like they are now.
A fight was about to break out.
Just then, Fang Ruotang waved at them with a bright smile, clearly having a great time.
The men who were about to fight all unconsciously smiled when they looked at Fang Ruotang. Even Huo Zhige, because he had promised Fang Ruotang that he would not hit her, looked at her stiffly. Although he could not immediately show a nice smile, his violent emotions were no longer visible.
The young prince waved his hand with a bright smile, but the words that came out of his mouth were sarcastic, "You, you don't even look down on me? At least I treat you much better than you treat Xiao Ruoruo. I will put her preferences first, while you! You just want to show off your bravery and fighting."
Huo Zhige took a deep breath and did not refute.
Due to his personality, unlike the five people in the capital who focused all their efforts on Fang Ruotang and tried to please her, his first reaction was to deal with whoever tried to take him away.
He had just suffered a loss and was thinking of focusing all his efforts on Fang Ruotang from now on, but when anger gets to him, it's not so easy to control himself.
"Don't even think about arranging things for me," Huo Zhige warned the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince remained noncommittal. As long as Fang Ruotang was capable enough, he had a way to control these people. Even the aloof and unapproachable Fang Ruotang was now obediently riding a horse with her.
Compared to the tense atmosphere on this side, the atmosphere on the other side was much more cheerful.
Fang Ruotang's little face was full of a proud smile. She grinned and asked excitedly, "Am I amazing? Do you think I have a real talent for riding horses?"
