Extra 7: I think you have to propose to Shen Fangli first, right? (Part 2)

The two brothers logged off after completing their New Year's mission. Yan Xianjue pulled out his phone and waved at Yan Ci with his free hand, "Get lost."

Yan Ci raised his middle finger and said disdainfully, "You don't have to be so obvious about throwing it away after use."

Yan Xianjue ignored him and took out his phone to send a message to Shen Fangli to ask for credit.

Yan Ci gave him the middle finger again and went downstairs to see if he needed any help.

Not long after, Yan Xianjue came down after sending the message.

Seeing that they were idle, Yan Wan arranged for them to post a couplet at the door: "The ladder is in the warehouse. Ask the housekeeper to help you find it. Be careful not to fall."

"Got it." Yan Xianjue smiled and agreed to do the job.

Rather than having the housekeeper and servants prepare everything and just waiting for a meal in the evening, the Yan family was more accustomed to having their own family prepare these things.

When the old man was still alive, he called this the flavor of the New Year, and no one has wanted to change it over the years.

This happened every year, so Yan Xianjue naturally had no objection. However, when he was getting a ladder in the warehouse, his eyes suddenly stopped on a wooden board.

Yan Ci noticed that his eyes had stopped moving, so he looked over and asked, "What are you looking at?"

Yan Xianjue picked up the wooden board with amusement, nodding his mouth to indicate to Yan Ci to have a look: "It's the sign Lin Shi gave me before."

When he said that, Yan Ci immediately remembered it.

Before Yan Xianjue recovered his memory, Lin Shi sent a plaque to the Yan family, on which was written the Yan family's unwritten rule: "No one from the Lin family and no dogs are allowed to enter."

Yan Ci: "I thought you threw it away."

Who would have thought that one person would actually dare to say such words which were obviously said intentionally to irritate others, and the other person would actually dare to accept them.

If he remembered correctly, Mr. Lin didn't seem to be dead at that time.

Yan Xianjue said indifferently, "It's made of golden nanmu wood. It would be a shame to throw it away."

"If the Yan family falls into poverty in the future, we can still sell it to make some money."

Yan Ci: "...It's New Year's Day, you should miss home a little bit."

Yan Xianjue shrugged.

He felt that what he said made sense. No family could be rich forever. What if there was a useless prodigal son among the descendants who was unwilling to be as smart as him and lay down his hands on the ground? Then it would be useless even if he accumulated a lot of wealth.

After putting the sign back to its original position, Yan Xianjue took the ladder from the butler and asked Yan Ci, "Start from the main gate?"

Yan Ci counted the several sets of couplets in his hand, and immediately knew where to put them.

He nodded: "Let's start from the main entrance."

During this period, Yan Xianjue also took the time to send a message to Lin Shi.

He had mentioned that he was going out for a drink with Lin, but if he hadn't suddenly seen the plaque, he would have almost forgotten about it.

It just so happened that Lin Shi was also in Qianhai City recently, and Yan Xianjue wanted to hear some gossip about the Lin family from him.

The current development of the plot cannot be said to be somewhat similar to what Yan Xianjue knew, but can only be said to be exactly the same.

The Lin family seems to be really busy after losing Grandpa Lin.

Lin Shi was very slow in replying to messages.

During this period, Yan Xianjue and Yan Ci finished pasting the couplets, burned incense to their old man with the family, and recited a short Taoist scripture with his second sister to make the routine wish.

Yan Xianjue has always adhered to the principle that no matter whether it works or not, just make a wish first. As for how to realize it, that is a problem that his grandfather has to consider.

In the bar the next day, Lin Shi condemned Yan Xianjue's behavior.

Yan Xianjue didn't take it seriously. Don't think he didn't know Lin Shi's flexible superstitious bottom line.

It was rare that they were the only two meeting this time. Lin Shi finished the wine in his glass in one gulp and did not try to persuade Yan Xianjue to drink. He just filled his own glass.

Yan Xianjue didn't drink as fast as he did, but he would occasionally raise his glass and clink it with Lin Shi's in between conversations.

Neither of them was the type to confide in others, they just chatted occasionally and most of the time they just drank by themselves.

Lin Shi and Yan Xianjue complained that the people in the Lin family were disobedient and that Lin Lang was causing trouble for him all day long.

Yan Xianjue fully expressed his envy of Lin Shi for not having to go to school.

Lin Shi suggested to him, "If you marry Shen Fangli, you can apply for a leave of absence from school on the pretext of preparing for the wedding."

Yan Xianjue thought that this was a bad idea that no one with a normal mind could come up with.

Do I not have to go back to school if I take a leave of absence?

He didn't want to wait for Yan Ci to retire and go to college with him.

By then, Yan's excuse was that he was going to win the championship, and his excuse was that he was going home to get married.

Does this sound good???

But Lin Shi thought this was a good idea: "I can even be your best man."

"If I die one day, I won't be able to make it to your wedding."

Yan Xianjue: “…”

Yan Xianjue looked at him deeply. He didn't understand how this man could feel at ease talking about life and death.

"You can choose to live."

Lin Shi expressed his attitude with a sneer.

He could understand Yan Xianjue's desire for him to live, just as he was well aware of Yan Xianjue's anger after regaining his memory.

But everyone has their own persistence, and being able to sit in a bar and drink peacefully like this is already a very rare scene.

That’s enough, Lin Shi is very content.

Yan Xianjue drank the remaining half glass of wine in one gulp, then slowly picked up the bottle and poured himself another half glass.

With a bit of coaxing and a bit of self-righteousness, he said in a tone that seemed like a gift: "You can also be the godfather of our child."

This time, Lin Shi didn't sneer, he was directly amused by Yan Xianjue's words.

He said jokingly, "And then I'll take care of your children and become part of your play?"

Yan Xianjue thought that he was unwilling, frowned a little unhappily and was about to say that Lin Shi was ungrateful.

Lin Shi spoke first, his voice sounding very happy: "Thank you, I'm very happy."

Yan Xianjue's brows finally relaxed, and he nodded as if this was the way it should be.

Lin Shi wanted to laugh when he saw his proud look, but he held it back.

He shook his head helplessly. The two were only a few months apart in age, but since he stopped playing the role of the school bully, Lin Shi seemed to be much more mature than Yan Xianjue.

The tone of his voice at this moment was also: "You always say Ji Xi is a cat, but I think you are more like one."

But unlike Ji Xi, a cheap mixed-hair stray cat, Yan Xianjue is a noble and self-aware cat owner who is waiting for others to come forward voluntarily with confidence.

He laughed again at the picture he thought of.

Taking a sip of wine, Lin Shi chose his words more cautiously when he spoke again: "I think the premise of all this is that you have to propose to Shen Fangli first, right?"

Yan Xianjue's hand holding the wine glass paused.

"You're right." Yan Xianjue said after a moment.
