Xue Pan huddled in the corner, looking at his feet in silence.
The dozen or so men around him are famous thugs near the Imperial Capital University.
Xue Pan was unlucky this time. He originally went to find the gang leader Brother Hang to buy the "obedient water", but after the payment was made, he was found by Brother Yu who came today.
Brother Hang lost the internal fight within their gang, and Brother Yu took over his business.
Xue Pan knew that Brother Pengyu wanted him to make an example of someone and let those who came to him to do business see what would happen to them.
After all, he is a outsider with no roots and is the easiest to bully.
Of course he was not convinced, but this time he was facing more than a dozen men who were often fighting with each other, and they all had weapons.
He didn't run away after all, and was beaten into such a miserable state.
As for the matter of selling the flower tablets, Xue Pan didn't care at all.
A mere 10,000 yuan is just a small amount for that generous young master.
Given Hua Jian's timid personality, she should have rushed over quickly after receiving the news from Brother Pengyu.
But this "soon" didn't come until it was getting dark.
"Fuck, kid, are you fucking kidding me? What rich young man? What about coming as soon as you scare me? Are you fucking trying to play tricks on me?"
Brother Pengyu crushed the unfinished cigarette and kicked Xue Pan hard.
After failing to get the money, the younger brothers beat Xue Pan up, took away his cell phone and watch, and then spat at him and left.
After all, this guy is a student of Imperial Capital University, and Pengyu is just a small gangster doing some black market business and doesn't want to make things worse.
Xue Pan has lived at the bottom of society since he was a child, and these beatings and kicks are commonplace.
When the footsteps disappeared, he frowned and hissed fiercely.
Suddenly, a smiling voice appeared.
"Yo, man, that's pretty miserable."
Xue Pan paused, raised his head and saw a pair of long legs. The man was squatting straight down.
"Who are you..."
Hua Jian sneered, "Did you get beaten silly by those hooligans?"
"Flower Jane?"
Xue Pan tried hard to open his bruised eyes and see the person in front of him clearly.
The man in front of him was definitely not the same Hua Jian he knew, the one who wore black-framed glasses and always hid in the dark.
"You are not Hua Jian."
Hua Jian's heart moved, and he raised an eyebrow and said, "If I'm not, then you are? You were trying to trick me just now, but I forgive you generously, and I'm going to introduce you to a profitable business. It depends on whether you are willing to do it."
Xue Pan snorted and laughed, "Do you want me to learn from you and work part-time at a bar?"
There was a badge on Hua Jian's white shirt with the words "UP Bar" written on it.
He ignored Xue Pan's ridicule and stood up instead.
Xue Pan's whole body was numb from sitting in one position, and he endured the pain and moved.
It was at this moment that Hua Jian raised her foot and kicked his leg, but happened to kick the injured part of his thigh.
Xue Pan felt the pain and subconsciously grabbed Hua Jian's foot, which was about to be retracted. "What the hell do you want to do?"
The ankle under the hand is slender but strong, which makes people realize that it is a man's foot at the first sight.
Xue Pan felt something strange flash in his mind, but before he could react, Hua Jian pulled his foot back and said, "Looks like it's still there."
If he hadn't thought of some plots from the original novel, he would still be mixing cocktails at UP and would never have run to Baoning Street several kilometers away to see if Xue Pan was dead or not.
"I remembered you're pretty good at racing. If you want to make money, get your legs and arms healed quickly."
Xue Pan suddenly looked up at Hua Jian, "How did you know I could race? I haven't been to a racetrack once since I arrived in the capital. How did you know?"
"I have Doraemon, okay?" Hua Jian glanced at the time unhappily. "I have something else to do. I'll call you tomorrow."
Xue Pan suddenly thought of something and said awkwardly, "My phone was taken away by those grandsons."
Hua Jian took a deep breath. This meant that her cell phone was gone and she had no money to buy a new one.
Now he suddenly regretted coming here.
"Forget it. I don't have time for you right now. There's a cafe on the street ahead at 1:00 PM tomorrow. I'll wait for you there."
After saying that, the tall man left the dirty and dark alley like a gust of wind.
Ten minutes later, Hua Jian returned to UP.
"Xiao Jian, you're finally back. Hurry up, the guests are waiting for you to mix drinks."
"Coming right up!"
Hua Jian was so busy that she soon forgot about Xue Pan.
That night a guest opened 6 bottles of wine for Hua Jian.
The disgusting feeling of those men leering at him lingered.
It's really hard to make money and hard to eat shit.
The only good news is that no one caused trouble or started a fight in the store tonight.
After a close call, Hua Jian got off work on time at 11 o'clock. As soon as she walked out of UP, someone called her.
"Flower Jane."
Hua Jian heard the voice and looked back, "Xue Pan? Why are you here?"
The injured Xue Pan was leaning against the corner of the alley outside the door.
"I have no place to stay tonight, so I'll stay at your place for one night."
"Oh, you're being bossy. Why should I let you live in my apartment? You're sick."
Hua Jian patiently turned around and left.
"You don't want me to help you race?"
"I love to compete or not."
When Xue Pan heard his words, the only light in his eyes disappeared.
He doesn't get along well with his roommates in the dormitory.
If they found out that he was so badly injured, they would definitely report him to the dorm supervisor or even the counselor.
By then, the matter of 'obedient water' might be involved.
[I'm really impressed. He looks like he's about to cry but can't. He's like a woman.]
