Chapter 12 You are really smart

Su Bei searched for a long time in the backyard of Mudan Pavilion but couldn't find any mosquito repellent grass. Besides, it would be more effective if some mint was added.

After dinner, she went to the garden of the palace.

The garden was well-maintained, so there were few weeds. She squatted in the grass and searched for a long time, until it got dark, and she finally found some.

After returning to the Peony Pavilion, she went into the kitchen to boil some mosquito repellent water and heard someone crying outside the kitchen window.

Su Bei hurriedly followed the sound and found Asi sitting on the ground crying with his head in his hands behind the kitchen.

"Ashi, what's wrong with you?"

Ah Xi raised his head while sobbing and said, "Ah Bei... Ah Bei, you are finally back. The princess wanted to drink tea, and when you were not around, she asked me to pour it for her. As a result, she didn't hold the cup firmly and burned her hand, so she threw the cup at me to vent her anger."

As she spoke, she lifted her bangs in front of her forehead, and sure enough, there was a big red bump on her forehead.

Su Bei hurriedly pulled her towards the kitchen, and as they walked he advised: "Okay, stop crying. You've been with her for more than ten years. Don't you know? She has that kind of temper."

"She was in a hurry to get it, and I didn't have time to let it cool down, and she still blames me..." Asi complained while crying.

Su Bei quickly boiled an egg and prepared some mosquito repellent. Then he said, "You should be smarter next time. If she throws it, you just hide!"

While the two were chatting, they heard Mo shouting again: "Abei! Is Abei back?!"

The voice was obviously filled with anger, so Su Bei ran out quickly, saying as he ran: "When the eggs are cooked, roll them on your forehead!"

When she ran into the main room, she saw that Mrs. Mo had thrown her things all over the floor. She was still sitting there angrily, glaring at Su Bei, "Where have you been? Find me some medicine for the burn!"

Su Bei smiled and said, "I went to the garden to pick some mint and mosquito repellent grass. I heard from Guard Ling that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the military camp. I think the prince is feeling uncomfortable because of this. When I send the cakes tomorrow, I will give the mosquito repellent to the prince."

After saying that, she looked at Madam Mo's gradually calming expression and added, "Just say it was the princess who cooked it. Didn't you burn your hand? If the prince comes, it's just right for him to take a look."

Mo's anger suddenly disappeared. Looking at the red spot on her delicate hand, she smiled and said, "Abei, you really have a good brain!"

After saying that, she suddenly lost her temper again, "But the prince probably won't come. He has only come once since we got married."

"Once it happens, there will be a second time!" Su Bei's eyes rolled, and he walked forward and whispered a few words in Mo's ear.

Mrs. Mo immediately smiled and said, "Okay, okay! No need to look for medicine! Go and make some mosquito repellent!"

"Hey!" Su Bei responded happily and turned to leave.

As soon as she entered the kitchen, Ah Xi stood up like a frightened bird, trembling, "Do you want me to clean it up? Will she throw things at me again?"

"Go later!" Su Bei raised an eyebrow at her, "Wait until she falls asleep before you go in. Be smarter next time. When she's unhappy, change the subject to the prince."

"What are you talking about?" Asi asked stupidly.

"Just say that the tea is still hot. If it burns the princess, it will be bad if the prince sees it tomorrow!"

"Ah? Is this possible?" Asi looked surprised.

Su Bei smiled slyly, and then said: "Ah Xi, tomorrow morning when you go to deliver cakes to the prince, just say..."
