The commander looked at the once high-ranking ladies and gentlemen with a warning. Three guards stood in front of them, holding plates.
The Lu family reluctantly handed the pearl hairpin on their heads to the tray.
The commander picked up a jewel-studded jade hairpin and played with it. He smiled, but suddenly his lips turned cold. "That's all? You really don't accept my toast and then drink the forfeit!"

As the commander finished speaking, the guards moved closer to the women. Su Sijin listened carefully and was alert to her surroundings.
