Lin Yue was unsure of herself, but Jiang Xinyue held her hand and comforted her, "It's okay, just do your best."
After a while, a staff member came over and announced the list of people who had passed the interview.
"Jiang Xinyue..."
Upon hearing her name called, Jiang Xinyue immediately stood up and happily exclaimed, "Here!"
Lin Yue didn't hear her name called, and a hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
She also stood up and offered Jiang Xinyue her sincerest blessings: "Xinyue, congratulations!"
"Thank you, Lin Yue. Don't worry, they might not have called your name yet. Let's wait a little longer."
Jiang Xinyue noticed her disappointment and patted her on the shoulder to comfort her.
Lin Yue nodded, immediately gaining confidence. "Okay, let's wait and see."
Finally, the interviewer called Lin Yue's name.
"Lin Yue, did you hear that? You've been selected too."
"That's great!" Lin Yue excitedly hugged Jiang Xinyue. "Xinyue, you gave me tremendous courage. My efforts have finally paid off."
Soon, they were taken to the human resources department to complete the onboarding procedures, and they could officially start work the next day.
As they left Shengshi Group, Lin Yue offered to treat her to dessert to celebrate that they had both passed the interview.
Jiang Xinyue thought she wasn't in a hurry to go home, so she agreed.
The two went to a popular online store near Shengshi Group and ordered afternoon tea and desserts.
Jiang Xinyue and her friends chose a window seat and were having afternoon tea with Lin Yue, chatting for a while.
Suddenly, Jiang Xinyue spotted a familiar luxury car parked in a parking space outside the dessert shop.
She saw her husband, Bo Jingcheng, get out of the car first and open the back door.
Immediately afterwards, she saw her son and Shen Siyao get out of the car, both of them with smiles on their faces.
After Bo Jingcheng closed the car door, he took Bo Xuan's hand in one hand and Shen Siyao's hand in the other, and the three of them walked towards the dessert shop.
"Xinyue, what are you looking at?"
Lin Yue noticed that Jiang Xinyue was lost in thought, and looked over with a puzzled expression.
Jiang Xinyue snapped out of her reverie, smiled, and didn't try to hide it, "I was looking at the man and woman, and the child in the middle."
Upon hearing this, Lin Yue looked over and couldn't help but exclaim, "They look like a family of three, so sweet and happy!"
Jiang Xinyue raised an eyebrow. "How did you figure out they were a family of three?"
Lin Yue had no idea that the man opposite her was Jiang Xinyue's husband, nor did she know that Bo Xuan was her son, and that the other woman was her husband's unrequited love and the woman he was having an affair with.
"Look at that man, gazing so affectionately at that woman and the child, they look so happy. What else could they be but a family of three?"
Jiang Xinyue gave a bitter smile to herself.
Even outsiders think they are a perfect family of three.
Little did they know, she was the original wife, the husband was hers, and the son was hers too.
Lin Yue was still enthusiastically saying, "This guy looks quite classy, all dressed in a suit and tie, he must be very successful. That woman is beautiful too, they're a perfect match."
Jiang Xinyue gave a faint smile but didn't reply.
As they were talking, Bo Jingcheng and his group had already entered the dessert shop.
Bo Jingcheng looked up and saw Jiang Xinyue sitting by the window. He paused for a moment, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.
Shen Siyao also saw Jiang Xinyue, and the smile on her face froze slightly, but she quickly pretended to be affectionate and took Bo Jingcheng's arm.
Bo Xuan's eyes lit up, and he excitedly broke free from their hands, running towards Jiang Xinyue: "Mom, what are you doing here!"
Upon hearing the word "Mom," Lin Yue's eyes widened in shock. She looked at Jiang Xinyue in disbelief, then at Bo Jingcheng and Shen Siyao.
Bo Jingcheng quickly pulled away from Shen Siyao's hand, walked forward awkwardly, and chuckled twice: "Wife, what a coincidence, you're here too."
Jiang Xinyue looked up at Bo Jingcheng standing in front of her and asked, "Husband, I should be asking you that. What are you and Secretary Shen doing here?"
Lin Yue's eyes widened, and she quickly covered her mouth, as if she had just heard a shocking piece of gossip.
What? This man in front of me is actually Xin Yue's husband?
Also, is this woman her husband's secretary?
Xin Yue must be feeling very upset and angry right now, knowing her husband is having an affair with the company's female secretary.
Lin Yue thought that if it were her, she would not hesitate to slap her husband if she saw him cheating.
However, Jiang Xinyue did not do that; instead, she looked at them calmly.
A hint of panic flashed in Bo Jingcheng's eyes. He quickly explained, "Wife, don't misunderstand. Xuanxuan wanted to eat at this dessert shop, and it just so happens that Secretary Shen also likes this dessert shop. We just happened to run into it, so we came together."
Jiang Xinyue looked at him, a wave of sorrow washing over her, but she maintained her composure: "Really? What a coincidence!"
With a fake smile on her face, Shen Siyao stepped forward and said, "Xinyue, it really is a coincidence. I didn't expect to run into you here. Please don't overthink it."
At this moment, Bo Xuan stepped forward, took Jiang Xinyue's hand, and began to plead, "Mommy, what Daddy said is true. I asked Aunt Siyao to come with us. Please don't be angry with us."
Jiang Xinyue suppressed her inner pain, reached out and touched Bo Xuan's head, forcing a smile, "How could I be? You are Mommy's precious darling, how could I be angry with you?"
