Chapter 39 Old Master Bo's Backing

Bo Jingcheng was silent for a moment, then said, "Grandpa, I will sever ties with Shen Siyao and treat Xinyue well."

Jiang Xinyue had heard these words at least three times already, and she had long since stopped believing the nonsense that Bo Jingcheng would really cut off all contact with Shen Siyao.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have arranged for her to stay at his private villa.

The old man said, "Xinyue, if Jingcheng dares to make another mistake, Grandpa will stand up for you!"

Jiang Xinyue didn't say anything, she just stared at him coldly.

Just then, Bo Jingcheng's phone rang; it was Shen Siyao calling.

Bo Jingcheng glanced at his phone and saw that it was Shen Siyao calling. He hesitated whether to answer.

Old Master Bo seemed to have guessed who it was. His face was full of anger. He snatched Bo Jingcheng's phone and pressed the answer button.

"Jingcheng, where did you go? Xuanxuan, he..." Shen Siyao's soft voice came.

Old Master Bo was furious. "Miss Shen, I warned you five years ago not to get close to my grandson. Now, you've come back and are trying to destroy his family. Let me tell you, don't even think about it! As long as I'm alive, you will never be allowed to enter the Bo family."

Shen Siyao on the other end of the phone immediately fell silent, and after a moment she cautiously said, "Mr. Bo, you've misunderstood, I..."

Old Master Bo didn't give her a chance to explain. He hung up the phone and threw it at Bo Jingcheng, saying sternly, "Jingcheng, you must settle things with this woman in front of me today!"

Bo Jingcheng's face was extremely ugly; he knew that his grandfather was truly angry this time.

Jiang Xinyue watched quietly from the side, but she had already given up hope.

Bo Jingcheng took a deep breath and said, "Grandpa, I will handle it."

Old Master Bo glared at him: "Deal with it now, I'll be right here watching."

Helpless, Bo Jingcheng had no choice but to call Shen Siyao.

"Siyao, let's not contact each other anymore." Bo Jingcheng's voice was very cold.

Shen Siyao burst into tears on the other end of the phone: "Jingcheng, how could you be so heartless?"

Bo Jingcheng gritted his teeth: "I've made up my mind, that's it." Then he hung up the phone.

Old Master Bo looked at Jiang Xinyue: "Xinyue, can you forgive this boy?"

Jiang Xinyue remained silent for a long time before slowly saying, "Grandpa, I'm tired and want to be alone for a while."

After saying that, she got up and went back to her room, leaving Bo Jingcheng and Old Master Bo in the living room.

Just as Jiang Xinyue was about to close the door, Bo Jingcheng blocked it with his hand.

Before she could speak, Bo Jingcheng quickly closed the door and locked it from the inside.

Jiang Xinyue subconsciously took two steps back. "What do you want to do?"

Bo Jingcheng was furious. He stepped forward and grabbed Jiang Xinyue by the neck. "Jiang Xinyue, Siyao was right after all. Back then, when you married me, you used any means necessary to force Grandpa to make me marry you. Now, you're asking Grandpa to back you up. Do you think I won't dare to touch you just because Grandpa is protecting you?"

Jiang Xinyue was being choked and couldn't breathe. Her face turned red, and she said with difficulty, "Bo Jingcheng, let me go!"

Bo Jingcheng acted as if he hadn't heard, and tightened his grip even more.

Just when Jiang Xinyue felt she was about to suffocate, Bo Jingcheng suddenly let go of her hand.

Jiang Xinyue collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath, tears streaming down her face.

Looking at her disheveled appearance, Bo Jingcheng felt a pang of regret, but it was quickly overshadowed by anger.

"Jiang Xinyue, you brought this on yourself!" Bo Jingcheng roared.

Jiang Xinyue looked up and saw that his favorability rating was only 30%. She said angrily, "Bo Jingcheng, if you have the guts, divorce me. At worst, I'll let you and Shen Siyao be together."

"Trying to threaten me with divorce again? Jiang Xinyue, do you really think I wouldn't dare? If it weren't for Grandpa's poor health, I would have already..."

"So what if it was a long time ago? Bo Jingcheng, if you have the guts, finish what you're saying!" Jiang Xinyue glared angrily, her voice trembling with rage.

Bo Jingcheng gritted his teeth, but ultimately didn't say anything.

"You'd better not say anything out of line in front of the old man, or don't blame me for disregarding our marital relationship." Bo Jingcheng pointed at Jiang Xinyue, his expression full of warning.

The next second, he opened the door and stormed out, slamming it shut in anger.

Jiang Xinyue was left alone in the room. She collapsed to the ground in despair, tears streaming down her face.

After some time, a soft knock came at the door.

"Young Madam, it's me, Aunt Xiu."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Xinyue quickly wiped away her tears, pretended to be nonchalant, and opened the door.

"Young Madam, are you alright?" Aunt Xiu had just heard them arguing in the room, and only dared to knock on the door after seeing Bo Jingcheng come out.

"It's alright," Jiang Xinyue said in a slightly hoarse voice. "It's all in the past."

"Young Madam, don't be sad. You'll really hurt yourself if you get upset." Aunt Xiu looked at her ashen face with heartache.

"Young Master is going too far. You are so good to him, yet he doesn't know how to appreciate it."
