Chapter 4 The Mistress Enters the House

Jiang Family Villa.

"Yueyue, why are you the only one who came back? Where are Jingcheng and Xuanxuan?"

Jiang Xinyue forced back the tears in her eyes and tried to force a smile, but the smile was even more painful than crying. "Mom, something came up at Jingcheng Company. Xuanxuan... Xuanxuan is with his dad. So I came here today."

Looking at Jiang Xinyue's expression, Jiang's mother sensed something was wrong. She took Jiang Xinyue's hand and asked softly, "Yueyue, is something on your mind? Don't hide it from me, did you and Jingcheng have a fight?"

Hearing her mother's concerned words, Jiang Xinyue felt a lump in her throat and her eyes reddened again, but she still bit her lip and shook her head, "No, Mom, I'm really fine, I'm just a little tired."

Jiang's mother looked at her with heartache, "If you're tired, just rest. You always have to carry everything on your own. Come on, let's go eat first. Mom made a lot of your favorite dishes."

At the dinner table, Jiang Xinyue had little appetite, mechanically putting food into her mouth while images of Bo Jingcheng and Shen Siyao together kept flashing through her mind.

The sweet memories of the past intertwined with the betrayal of the present, leaving her with a bitter taste in her mouth.

Jiang's father also noticed Jiang Xinyue's unusual behavior. He put down his chopsticks and said, "Yueyue, if that boy Jingcheng bullies you, you can tell Dad, and Dad will stand up for you."

"Dad, no one is bullying me." Jiang Xinyue lowered her eyes. She didn't want her parents to worry about her because of her relationship with Bo Jingcheng.

Five years ago, despite objections to her marriage, she insisted on marrying Bo Jingcheng, simply because he was her target.

Later, she did indeed win him over, and she got her wish to stay by his side, giving up the opportunity to return to real life.

Looking back now, I realize that everything I gave up to gain will also be lost.

Bo Jingcheng no longer needs her; he has his own ideal woman.

Looking at Jiang Xinyue, Jiang's father said with a face full of heartache and helplessness, "Yueyue, don't carry everything on your own. How can I not worry about you when you're like this? No matter what happened in the past, if you've been wronged, I will definitely get justice for you."

Jiang Xinyue shook her head and forced a smile. "Dad, it's really nothing. It's just a minor squabble. I can handle it."

She felt incredibly bitter. She had once been devoted to Bo Jingcheng without hesitation, believing that she could be happy with him forever, but now everything had changed.

Jiang's mother sighed softly, "Yueyue, you're just too stubborn. But no matter what, you have to think more about yourself and Xuanxuan. If you're not happy in the Bo family, the Jiang family will always be your support. You can always come back. Your parents will take care of you and Xuanxuan."

Hearing her mother's words, Jiang Xinyue's eyes reddened, and she was filled with emotion. "Mom and Dad, I know you love me the most. I will think carefully about what to do in the future, so please don't worry too much."

Back at the Bo family home, Jiang Xinyue turned on the room light, but her husband and son were not home.

Jiang Xinyue walked over, sat on the edge of the bed, and looked at everything familiar around her, her thoughts becoming increasingly chaotic.

She had once so resolutely chosen to stay by Bo Jingcheng's side, but now his indifference and betrayal were like icy water, drenching her from head to toe and bringing her to her senses.

Perhaps it really is time to let go, but the thought of completely severing ties with Bo Jingcheng still feels like a sharp pain in my heart.

After all, he was someone she had deeply loved and devoted herself to for five whole years.

That night, she was left alone in her empty room.

Bo Jingcheng didn't return until the next day with his three-year-old son, followed by Shen Siyao, who was dragging a suitcase.

Jiang Xinyue came downstairs and happened to see this scene.

Bo Jingcheng instructed Aunt Xiu to take Chen Siyao's suitcase to the guest room on the second floor.

“Aunt Xiu, from today onwards, Miss Shen will be staying at our house temporarily. You must treat her the same way you would the madam, understand?”

Aunt Xiu looked troubled, and secretly glanced at Jiang Xinyue, unsure whether to agree or not.

Jiang Xinyue felt as if her heart had been struck hard, the pain making her gasp for breath. She never imagined that Bo Jingcheng could go to such lengths, openly bringing Shen Siyao home and having Aunt Xiu treat her like this.

She took a deep breath, suppressing the surging emotions within her, and tried to make her voice sound calm. "Bo Jingcheng, what do you mean by this?"

Hearing Jiang Xinyue's voice, Bo Jingcheng turned around and looked at her, his eyes filled with a strange guilt. "Wife, you're awake?"

"Bo Jingcheng, answer me, how did she get here?" Jiang Xinyue pointed at Shen Siyao, her eyes filled with tears, but even more so with anger.

Bo Jingcheng frowned slightly, seemingly impatient with Jiang Xinyue's questioning. "Yueyue, Siyao is just temporarily staying at our house. Don't be so stingy."

Shen Siyao then put on a weak and innocent look, "Xinyue, I'm so sorry for causing you trouble. I'll find a place to stay and move out soon, so please don't be angry with me."

But there was a hint of smugness in his eyes.

Jiang Xinyue looked at their coordinated performance and felt incredibly ironic. "Bo Jingcheng, this is my home, and I make the decisions. I don't agree to her moving in."

Bo Jingcheng's face instantly turned cold. "Jiang Xinyue, stop being unreasonable. It's just letting her stay for a while, so what?"

"But don't forget what you promised me. You said you would keep your distance from her." Jiang Xinyue looked at Bo Jingcheng with tears in her eyes, her heart breaking.

“I…” Bo Jingcheng was speechless for a moment, his brows furrowed tightly.
