"Siyao, you should go back first. I want to be alone for a while." Bo Jingcheng waved his hand, signaling Shen Siyao to leave.
"No, I'm not leaving." Shen Siyao said with displeasure.
Bo Jingcheng had no choice but to say helplessly, "Then you should get some rest."
After saying that, Bo Jingcheng ignored her and went straight upstairs to the study by himself.
Bo Jingcheng sat in his study, took out a pack of men's cigarettes from his pocket, pulled one out, and lit it with a lighter.
Wisps of smoke drifted freely under the dim light, blurring his deep-set eyes and making his loneliness all the more pronounced.
Shen Siyao stood outside the study, peering through the crack in the door at the flickering cigarette butt, her heart filled with mixed emotions.
She raised her hand, wanting to knock on the door, but hesitated the moment her fingertips touched the door panel.
Shen Siyao turned around, subconsciously clenching her fists, and said viciously in her heart, "Damn Jiang Xinyue, you're already gone, why are you still clinging to Bo Jingcheng?"
She had to find a way to get Bo Jingcheng to sign the divorce agreement, no matter what.
She wanted to be Mrs. Bo, the rightful wife, not the "other woman" everyone talked about.
Early in the morning, after waking up, Bo Xuan came downstairs barefoot, rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"Mommy, I'm hungry. I want a sandwich and an egg pancake. Oh, and I also want some fresh, hot milk."
Bo Xuan had long forgotten that Jiang Xinyue had been away from this home for a long time, even longer than last time.
The living room was silent; there wasn't a soul in sight. "Mommy, I'm hungry."
"Stop calling." At this moment, Shen Siyao came downstairs, looking displeased. "Your mother has already left."
Upon seeing Shen Siyao, Bo Xuan realized that Jiang Xinyue had been away from home for many days.
In the past, as soon as he woke up, there would be a hot breakfast waiting for him, and Jiang Xinyue would even make him all sorts of delicious food.
Now, the dining table is empty, there's nothing there.
"Aunt Siyao, I'm hungry. Is there anything to eat?"
Chen Siyao frowned and said impatiently, "Don't be so picky, little kid. There's bread in the fridge, go and eat it yourself."
Bo Xuan looked at her, his eyes slightly red, and muttered softly, "I don't like bread, I want to eat Mommy's breakfast."
Chen Siyao ignored him and went straight to the kitchen, poured herself a cup of coffee, and tried to use the rich aroma to dispel the fatigue of not having slept all night.
Bo Xuan stood there, at a loss. He remembered when Jiang Xinyue was around, no matter how early it was, she would gently coax him to get up, and the aroma of breakfast would always fill the whole house.
The more he thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt, and tears finally welled up in his eyes.
He burst into tears, his sobs echoing in the empty living room.
The study door suddenly opened, and Bo Jingcheng walked out looking exhausted. His hair was a little messy, and his eyes were bloodshot.
Seeing Bo Xuan crying, a pang of heartache flashed in his eyes. He quickly walked over and picked up the child. "Xuanxuan, what's wrong?" he asked softly.
Bo Xuan sobbed, "Dad, I'm hungry. I want to eat the breakfast Mom made."
Bo Jingcheng's body stiffened, and his eyes dimmed.
He subconsciously looked at Shen Siyao, who was holding a coffee cup with an innocent expression.
"Jingcheng, I didn't make Xuanxuan cry."
"Why didn't you make breakfast for the child?" Bo Jingcheng frowned and couldn't help but ask.
Shen Siyao immediately looked aggrieved, "I didn't sleep well last night and woke up late. I thought Aunt Xiu would come today."
"Aunt Xiu is sick and on leave, so there's been no one cooking at home these past few days." Bo Jingcheng said, his brows furrowing even deeper. "Never mind, it's not your fault. Let's eat out!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Bo Jingcheng reached out and patted Bo Xuan's head, comforting him, "Xuanxuan, don't cry. Daddy will take you out to eat something delicious, and then I'll take you to school, okay?"
Bo Xuan then wiped away his tears and obediently nodded, "Okay."
The family of three arrived at a high-end restaurant, but Bo Xuan seemed rather uninterested, simply eating the food in front of him in silence.
Seeing his son like this, Bo Jingcheng felt increasingly uneasy.
"Xuanxuan, eat more." Bo Jingcheng picked up a piece of meat and put it on Bo Xuan's plate.
Bo Xuan raised his head, looked at Bo Jingcheng, then at Shen Siyao, and whispered, "Dad, I still miss Mommy."
Bo Jingcheng paused in his actions, and Chen Siyao's expression also turned ugly.
"Xuanxuan, don't mention her anymore." Bo Jingcheng's tone was somewhat harsh.
Bo Xuan bit his lip and stopped talking, but tears welled up in his eyes.
After dinner, Bo Jingcheng took Bo Xuan to school.
Back at the company, Bo Jingcheng sat at his desk, but he just couldn't concentrate on his work.
His mind kept replaying Bo Xuan's pitiful appearance, as well as Jiang Xinyue's image of working hard for the family in the past.
Thinking about this, Bo Jingcheng became even more agitated.
Just then, the assistant knocked and came in.
"Mr. Bo, these are the documents that require your signature," the assistant said.
Bo Jingcheng took the document, flipped through it casually, and then signed it.
After his assistant left, Bo Jingcheng leaned back in his chair and let out a long sigh.
Meanwhile, Shen Siyao was shopping in the mall with a few girlfriends.
Unexpectedly, they ran into Jiang Xinyue and Qin Ruolin.
"Xinyue, try this on quickly, you'll look great in it."
Qin Ruolin picked up a Chanel-style suit and held it up against Jiang Xinyue.
"Oh, isn't this Miss Jiang?"
