Jiang Xinyue had just left the hospital and was about to take a taxi back to her apartment.
Just then, a black sedan stopped in front of her.
The car door opened, and two men dressed in black with their faces covered got out and coldly approached her.
Seeing this, Jiang Xinyue sensed danger and turned to run.
The next second, they took out a handkerchief and covered her mouth and nose from behind.
Jiang Xinyue felt a pungent smell enter her nostrils, and she struggled, trying to call for help.
Immediately afterwards, her consciousness began to blur, and her body gradually lost its strength.
When she woke up again, she found herself in a dark and damp room, her hands and feet were tied, and a rag was stuffed in her mouth.
She tried to calm herself down and observed her surroundings. There was only one small window in the room, letting in a faint light.
Just then, the door was pushed open, and a burly man walked in. He glared fiercely at Jiang Xinyue and said, "Behave yourself, or you'll be sorry!"
Jiang Xinyue glared at him, trying to make a sound to question why they had kidnapped her, but could only make muffled noises.
The man sneered, turned around and walked out, slamming the door shut behind him.
Jiang Xinyue was filled with fear and confusion. Who had kidnapped her? Was it Bo Jingcheng's enemy? Or was it Shen Siyao seeking revenge? Or perhaps someone else entirely?
Time passed second by second, and Jiang Xinyue's body ached terribly from maintaining the same posture for so long, but she still silently prayed that someone would come to save her.
the next day.
Fu Heng, still holding a bouquet of carnations, came to the hospital to visit Jiang's mother.
"Aunt Jiang, how are you feeling today?"
Jiang's mother was somewhat surprised to see Fu Heng. "Mr. Fu, what brings you here?"
Fu Heng said with a dangerous look, "I've come to see you."
"These past few days, Mr. Fu has been so kind to us, helping us so much and coming to see me at the hospital every day." Jiang's mother suddenly felt that Fu Heng was much more reliable than her son-in-law, Bo Jingcheng.
Fu Heng is not only young and promising, but also handsome. Most importantly, he is caring and reasonable, making him far better than Bo Jingcheng.
"Auntie, you're being too polite. Xinyue and I are friends, so it's only natural that we visit each other at the hospital more often."
Jiang Chengyu sat on the edge of the bed, holding a fruit knife in his hand. As he peeled an apple, he said, "President Fu, I think you have ulterior motives!"
Fu Heng gave an awkward smile. Was his expression really that obvious?
Jiang Chengyu looked like he'd already seen through it all. "You're here for my sister, aren't you?"
At this time, they were unaware that Jiang Xinyue had been kidnapped the day before and had been missing for a whole day.
Before Fu Heng could explain, Jiang Chengyu interrupted, "My sister didn't come today. But it's strange, she should have come to the hospital to relieve me at this time."
Upon hearing this, Fu Heng couldn't help but feel a little worried. "How about I give her a call?"
Jiang Chengyu nodded, indicating his tacit agreement.
Fu Heng took out his phone and tried to call Jiang Xinyue, but found that the phone was switched off.
"I can't get through on the phone." Fu Heng frowned. "It's switched off."
"My sister's phone is rarely turned off. Could it be that her phone wasn't charged last night?" Jiang Chengyu asked, puzzled.
“I know where she lives. Otherwise, I’ll go to that apartment first,” Fu Heng suggested. He had a nagging feeling that something was wrong.
"Okay, go quickly, and remember to call me anytime."
Fu Heng nodded, and before leaving, he slipped his business card to Jiang Chengyu and hurriedly left the hospital.
Fu Heng rushed to Jiang Xinyue's apartment in a panic. He raised his hand and knocked hard on the door, calling out Jiang Xinyue's name loudly, but there was no response from inside.
"Xinyue, Xinyue..."
He gritted his teeth and took out a spare access card from his wallet, which Jiang Xinyue had given him in case of emergency.
The door opened, and the room was deathly silent. Everything was neatly arranged, with no obvious signs of a struggle, but Jiang Xinyue was nowhere to be seen.
Fu Heng became even more nervous and quickly called his assistant.
"Hey, check the surveillance footage near the hospital right now. Jiang Xinyue is missing. I need to know where she is."
"Okay, Mr. Fu."
After hanging up the phone, Fu Heng searched the house thoroughly, hoping to find some clues.
Shortly after, the assistant called: "Mr. Fu, the surveillance footage shows that after Jiang Xinyue left the hospital yesterday, she was forcibly taken into a black car by two men in black. The car then drove towards the suburbs, but the license plate was obscured, so we cannot track it."
Fu Heng was extremely anxious. The suburbs were vast, and finding someone was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
He took a deep breath, forced himself to calm down, and thought about his next move.
"Send people to investigate immediately. Even if we have to turn the entire North City upside down, we must find Jiang Xinyue's location. I want to see who kidnapped her." Fu Heng clenched his fist, a flash of anger in his eyes.
"Yes, Mr. Fu."
Suddenly, he realized that he could check the vehicle's outbound travel records by vehicle model, and maybe find out where the car went.
Fu Heng contacted the traffic police department and requested their assistance in the investigation.
He quickly picked up his phone and dialed Jiang Chengyu's number again, his voice filled with anxiety: "Hey, Jiang Chengyu, Xinyue isn't at the apartment. I feel like something happened to her."
Jiang Chengyu on the other end of the phone tensed up instantly, almost dropping the fruit knife in his hand: "What? How could this happen?"
Meanwhile, in that dark and damp cell, Jiang Xinyue was already exhausted from the torture. Her hands and feet were numb from being bound for so long, and waves of hunger washed over her. The tightly closed door was pushed open again, and there was the same burly man, holding a bowl of foul-smelling food. He walked up to Jiang Xinyue and ripped the rag out of her mouth.
"Eat, don't starve to death, or we'll have trouble explaining ourselves," the man said menacingly.
Jiang Xinyue looked at the bowl of food with disgust and spat, "Who are you? Why did you kidnap me? How much money do you want?"
The man sneered, "Hmph, money? We're not short of money. Someone wants you to suffer a bit, so behave and you'll suffer less."
After saying that, he ignored Jiang Xinyue's resistance and forcibly stuffed the food into her mouth.
Jiang Xinyue struggled desperately, spilling food all over the ground. Seeing this, the man slapped her across the face, and a trickle of blood instantly oozed from the corner of Jiang Xinyue's mouth.
The man grumbled as he packed his things, stuffed the rag back into Jiang Xinyue's mouth, and slammed the door shut.
Jiang Xinyue leaned against the wall, tears welling up in her eyes. She was filled with despair, but she kept telling herself to be strong and that someone would come to save her.
She tried to call the police, but they took her phone while she was unconscious.
Right now, her family probably doesn't know she's been kidnapped. How can she save herself?
