Chapter 69 Being Bullied by Colleagues

Jiang Xinyue could hardly believe her ears. She trembled with rage, glaring at Bo Jingcheng and saying, "Bo Jingcheng, you're utterly unreasonable! Excellent and kind? Sending someone to kidnap you is called kind? I wasn't injured. Have you forgotten who saved me, and who's lying unconscious in the hospital? It was Fu Heng. Do you only think Shen Siyao's crimes are unforgivable if I die at the hands of kidnappers?"

Bo Jingcheng opened his mouth, wanting to say something more, but was interrupted by Jiang Xinyue: "Don't forget, Bo Jingcheng, we are still husband and wife. Yet you come to beg me to let her go for another woman. Do you think that's appropriate? Or do you think I, Jiang Xinyue, am so easy to bully?"

Bo Jingcheng frowned, a hint of guilt flashing in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by stubbornness: "Xinyue, I know this is unfair to you, but Siyao really can't be hurt. As long as you're willing to help, I can agree to any condition you set."

Jiang Xinyue sneered, her eyes full of mockery: "Any conditions? Bo Jingcheng, do you think I would still care about your conditions? From the moment you hurt me time and time again, and protected Shen Siyao time and time again, it was completely over between us. I still remember clearly everything you did for me for her sake. Now, you actually have the nerve to come and beg me, don't you find it ridiculous?"

Bo Jingcheng was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "Xinyue, I know I wasn't good to you before, and I'm sorry. But Siyao is really different. She's in the police station now, and I can't just stand by and watch something happen to her."

Jiang Xinyue took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down: "Bo Jingcheng, I won't help you, and I can't help you. Shen Siyao did something wrong, and she should be punished by law. Instead of begging me here, you should think carefully about whether it's right or wrong for you to be so biased towards her."

After saying that, Jiang Xinyue turned and left, ignoring Bo Jingcheng.

Bo Jingcheng watched her resolute back, his fists clenching suddenly. It seemed she was determined not to plead for Siyao, so he had to think of another way.

Jiang Xinyue was so angry that she trembled all over and quickened her pace.

She never expected that even at this point, Bo Jingcheng would still say such absurd things for Shen Siyao.

She told herself that she couldn't let this man get her upset anymore; she had to look forward and embrace her new life.

Jiang Xinyue arrived at the company soon.

She took a deep breath, composed herself, and walked into the company gate.

Today is the day she starts working again, and she can't let Bo Jingcheng's matter affect her mood.

When her colleagues saw Jiang Xinyue, they all gave her friendly looks and greeted her warmly.

Jiang Xinyue responded to each question, trying her best to integrate herself into the work atmosphere.

Upon arriving at her workstation, Jiang Xinyue found a steaming cup of coffee on the table, with a note next to it that read: "A new day, keep going! Feel free to contact me anytime if you need anything. — Fu Heng"

Looking at the note, Jiang Xinyue felt a surge of warmth in her heart. Fu Heng's concern was like a ray of light shining into her somewhat gloomy heart.

She looked up in the direction of Fu Heng's office, silently cheered herself up, and then began to organize her materials, preparing to get to work.

At this moment, Fu Heng stood in front of the office and saw Jiang Xinyue working diligently outside through the glass. He also saw her looking at the sticker he had written for her.

Fu Heng was in a great mood, and his thin lips curved slightly. "Xin Yue, this time, I will definitely protect you."

Bo Jingcheng drove to the casino.

At this moment, Shen Siyao's younger brother, Shen Jie, was having a great time at the casino.

Over the years, the Shen family, mother and son, have lived a prosperous life thanks to the money Shen Siyao earned abroad.

He knew that Shen Siyao's younger brother was a compulsive gambler and had already accumulated a lot of gambling debts.

This time, he came to him wanting to help him pay off his gambling debts so that he could take the blame for Shen Siyao.

"How did we lose again?" Shen Jie asked with a look of regret.

"Here's the money, here's the money! You're having a bad day, kid!"

Bo Jingcheng strode over to Shen Jie, grabbed him by the collar, and pulled him up from the gambling table.

Shen Jie was startled by this sudden action. After recognizing Bo Jingcheng, he exclaimed with delight, "Brother-in-law, it's you!"

Hearing Shen Jie call him brother-in-law, Bo Jingcheng didn't refute it, but instead sneered, "What? Are you gambling again?"

Shen Jie scratched his head sheepishly: "Brother-in-law, I just had an itch to do it."

Bo Jingcheng glared at him: "Your sister is in trouble, and you still have the mind to gamble here?"

Shen Jie panicked immediately: "Brother-in-law, what happened to my sister?"

Bo Jingcheng said, "She was arrested by the police on suspicion of kidnapping."

Shen Jie's eyes widened: "What? That's impossible! How could my sister do such a thing?"

Bo Jingcheng said coldly, "Now is not the time to talk about these things. I can help you pay off all your gambling debts, but you will have to take the blame for your sister."

Shen Jie hesitated for a moment: "Brother-in-law, this...this is a crime."

Bo Jingcheng lowered his voice and said, "As long as you stay in there for a few years, I guarantee you'll never have to worry about food or clothing again when you come out."

Upon hearing this, Shen Jie immediately refused, "That won't do. I'm not married yet! By the time I get out of prison in a few years, I'll be thirty years old. Who would want to marry a convict like me then?"

Bo Jingcheng grabbed his collar. "Shen Jie, I'm not discussing this with you. You're suspected of gambling, and I'll report you to the police. You'll still end up in jail. Do you think you can escape?"

Shen Jie's face turned deathly pale, and he said in a trembling voice, "Brother-in-law, you can't do this to me. My sister won't let you get away with this."

Bo Jingcheng snorted coldly: "Your sister is in dire straits right now, she can't take care of you. Think it over carefully, do you want to take the blame for her and live a life of wealth and honor after you get out, or do you want to be arrested by the police now and lose everything?"
