Chapter 44 General Li Gets Beaten

Dozens of guards appeared outside the door, and they all drew their swords and pointed them at General Li.

General Li chuckled as he put Qiuqiu down, then looked at the guard and said, "I was just joking with the child."

Chirp: "To donate or not?"

General Li pretended not to hear and said to his dozen or so guards, "Gentlemen, it's hot outside today. Why don't you all come with me to the front yard for some tea and music? I'll find a few beautiful women to keep you company, how about that?"

The guards remained unmoved.

Chiu Chiu pointed to the back of a bookshelf.

General Li hurriedly stepped in front, saying, "These are all my books, nothing to see here! Please move aside, I will arrange a feast for everyone!"

Chirp turned a mechanism.

The bookshelf was moved, and inside it was—a dragon robe!

Possessing a dragon robe is a serious crime!

General Li was unable to defend himself.

Dozens of guards surrounded General Li's army.

Seeing that the situation was not good, General Li took Qiuqiu hostage and put a sword to Qiuqiu's neck.

The guard looked at him nervously and said, "General Li, don't be agitated. Qiuqiu is someone the Emperor cares about very much. If you hurt her, you won't get away with it! Put down your sword now! Come back with us to report!"

General Li sneered and said, "Hmph! Given my current situation, going back with you would surely mean certain death. I might as well let this little brat take my place."

General Li took Qiuqiu hostage and walked outside.

The guards followed him nervously.

General Li gripped Qiuqiu tightly again, threatening the guards, "Don't come any closer! If you do, I'll kill him!"

The guards were caught in a dilemma.

If it were an ordinary child, they would have been terrified and started crying loudly.

But Chiu Chiu remained calm and composed, as if she wasn't the one who had been kidnapped.

Chiu Chiu glanced at her pheasant beside her and channeled her spiritual energy into it through her fingertips.

A spiritual power that no one can perceive.

Chirp winked at the pheasant, and the pheasant flapped its wings at her.

General Li grabbed Qiuqiu and leaped onto the wall, then scaled it and escaped.

"Chase them! Chase them quickly!"

The guards followed one after another.

However, General Li was one step ahead of them; his lightness skill was superb, and he disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The guards were dumbfounded.

What should we do?

Everyone in the palace knows that Qiuqiu is now the Emperor's darling.

They lost Chiu Chiu right under their noses; even nine lives wouldn't be enough to compensate for it.

General Li led Qiuqiu to a desolate, dense forest.

Chirp was thrown heavily to the ground.

Chirp: "Ouch!"

General Li pointed his sword at Qiuqiu: "It's all your fault! If it weren't for you, how could I have ended up like this! Today, I will kill you!"

Chiu Chiu calmly looked at General Li and said, "Are you sure?"

General Li: "If I don't kill you today, I'll take your surname! Even if I kill you, it won't quell the hatred in my heart!"

General Li raised his sword and thrust it at Qiuqiu.

At this moment, a phoenix flew from the direction of the sun, and like a sharp sword, it flew to General Li and pecked at his eye.

General Li, in unbearable pain, threw his sword aside and covered his eyes.

"My eyes, my eyes! What is this thing! A pheasant dares to peck at my eyes!"

General Li picked up the sword from the ground and slashed at the phoenix.

Unexpectedly, at that moment, a tiny figure next to him raised his fist and delivered a heavy blow to him!

This little person is Chiu Chiu.

Full of spiritual energy after a good meal, Chiu Chiu sent General Li flying more than ten meters away with a single punch.

General Li was beaten so badly he was knocking his teeth out. He looked around but no guards were chasing him.

There was only a toddler and a pheasant in front of him.

General Li struggled to his feet, walked up to Qiuqiu, and picked up his sword again to slash at her.

General Li: "You have caused me to fall into such a wretched state; I will surely tear you to pieces!"

Chiu Chiu quickly dodged, and didn't forget to kick General Li.

This kick sent General Li flying more than ten meters away.

General Li saw it clearly this time; it was indeed Qiuqiu who kicked him.

But where does such a small person get the strength to kick someone?

He was a very famous General of the Cavalry.

Even if a dozen or so highly skilled martial artists came, they would barely be his match.

But now, he watched helplessly as a little kid kicked him so far! It's unbelievable, simply unimaginable!

Chirp glanced at Phoenix.

Go and bring them here! I can handle things here.

The phoenix nodded, flapped its wings, and flew away.

Chiu Chiu walked up to General Li and said with great momentum, "Are you still going to kill me?"

General Li, enraged and humiliated, stood up to retaliate.

Unexpectedly, before he could even stand up, Chiu Chiu swung her little fist and hit him.

Left hook, right hook, uppercut, lowercut.

Before General Li could react, Qiuqiu had already beaten him black and blue.

After the fight, Qiuqiu didn't forget to kick him in the stomach.

This time, Chiu Chiu kicked upwards.

General Li was kicked into the air and ended up hanging in a tree.

The tree was over ten meters tall, and its branches were swaying precariously, seemingly about to break.

General Li screamed in fright.

Chiu Chiu, still with a childlike mentality, watched from below, laughing heartily and clapping her hands in approval!

[I never imagined that the delicious food I've been eating lately would restore so much of my spiritual energy. Looks like I need to eat even more good food.]

Before long, the guards were drawn by the signal sent by the phoenix.

The guards breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that Chiu Chiu was completely unharmed.

It's good that the little darling is alright, it's good that he's alright.

The guard looked at the lively and energetic Qiuqiu and asked, "Your Excellency, did General Li release you? Where is he? Did he run away?"

Chirp pointed to General Li hanging on the tree branch above.

The guards burst into laughter as they looked at General Li perched precariously on the tree branch.

"Is this the once-glorious General Li?"

"General Li, why did you climb so high? Were you looking at the scenery up there? Is the view beautiful up there?"

General Li roared furiously, "Useless trash! Come save me!"

It wouldn't have mattered if they hadn't shouted, but once they did, and with General Li getting excited, the branches were subjected to even greater force.

Suddenly, the branch holding General Li broke, and General Li fell to the ground.

It made a loud snap.

General Li fell heavily to the ground.

After all that, he was completely unable to move.

If it weren't for Chiu Chiu's torment, dealing with the highly skilled General of the Cavalry would have taken some effort.

But now, the guards only need to walk up to him and see if he's dead.

A guard stepped forward to check if General Li was breathing.

The guard nudged General Li with a long stick.

Suddenly, General Li did a somersault.

Everyone was startled.
