Chapter 4 Born Evil

Chapter 4 Born Evil

Lu Bai gasped. This was the first time she had encountered a murder case involving a corpse in all her years of investigating cases.

Suddenly, she seemed to have thought of something, "Counselor Li, they are not your biological parents or family members."

Li Ziyu's hand holding the water trembled, and she denied, "How is it possible?"

[How did she know? I remember that it was done in California, so it shouldn't be found in the country? Is she investigating me?]

Lu Bai held down Li Ziyu's hand as he tried to move it away, and said, "It was just a joke. You've been investigating the case for so long, but you haven't said anything about your family, so I'm suspicious."

She smiled an unknown smile again, and her tone was tentative, "You act like strangers, not like a family, but like playing house."

Every word and sentence seems like a joke, but also a test.

[You use this method of interrogating prisoners on me. Does Lu Bai think I'm an idiot? ]

Lu Bai pursed his lips.

Li Ziyu slipped out from under her arm and said, "I don't usually live in a villa. I have my own apartment, and I don't have much contact with them."

"This time I went back only because they had to go on a long trip and asked me to stay at the villa to look after the family."

She casually put the report into her arms.

The last line in the report shows a snake pattern the size of a fingernail on the inside of the vase.

She was very familiar with this pattern. It had been a nightmare to her day and night for the past five years since she returned to China.

Lu Bai grabbed the key and nodded toward the door, "Let's go back to the scene."

Li Ziyu folded up the report and put it in his pocket, "Call my brother in Wuzhou."

Lee's Villa

When the two returned to the villa, Zhang Hai had already brought people to check the water and electricity meters.

Zhang Hai trotted over to Lu Bai and said, "There is no problem with electricity, but when we were looking for the water and electricity meters, we found a basement at the small gate of the garden."

"It has two diesel generators, three umbrella heaters, and four humidifiers."

Li Ziyu and Lu Bai looked at each other and saw the shadow of the truth in each other's eyes.

Two diesel generators and three high-power heaters, if equipped with normally used air conditioning and a humidifier to prevent the evaporation of moisture from the corpse, can create an environmental condition that accelerates the decay of the corpse.

The small gate to the garden is very hidden and completely blocked by a pile of bushes. If you don’t look for the water and electricity meters, it would be difficult to find that there is a small gate here.

Lu Bai bent her body and went in. There was a lot of space inside the small door. She stretched out her hand to Li Ziyu behind her and said, "Be careful."

Li Ziyu put his hand on Lu Bai's wrist and staggered inside.

As soon as she came in, Li Ziyu found something wrong. Her keen observation told her that this was a warehouse that had been planned for a long time, not a place where weapons were stored on the spur of the moment.

"Murder." Li Ziyu felt a little stomachache, perhaps because he hadn't eaten for a day.

She pressed lightly on her stomach with her long, beautiful fingers.

Lu Bai noticed this move, but now he had to solve the murder case first. "What do you mean? What did you find?"

Li Ziyu ran his finger across the storage rack next to him and stretched it in front of Lu Bai. "There is no dust."

She pointed at the door again. "There's a lot of clutter at the door, but it's clean inside. Someone is deliberately blocking it, and someone comes here regularly."

"The fact that there are no signs of dust being transported here is also indirect evidence of this."

The heater and generator looked as if they had been deliberately wiped, and the metal surface was even reflective.

Li Ziyu squatted in front of the generator and looked carefully inside and out. Finally, he found a drop of dried blood in a heat dissipation hole.

"Call forensic doctor Liu over." She was sure that there was nothing wrong with the previous speculation.

The case was handed over to Forensic Doctor Liu and the Laboratory Department through the small door. Li Ziyu stood in the garden, touching the tip of his nose out of habit.

Lu Bai was behind her and knew that Li Ziyu was secretly thinking of clues.

"Advisor Li~" Lu Bai leaned on Li Ziyu, "What are you thinking about?"

Li Ziyu seemed to be used to Lu Bai's movements, and also seemed to be lost in thought, so this time he did not dodge.

She said calmly, "Nothing."

[Li Qing's younger brother seems to be a psychological counselor. Li Ziyue should have received treatment from him. When I returned to China five years ago, I didn't pay attention to what Li Ziyue had.]

[Later, his brother never returned to Wuzhou. Why did he appear in Wuzhou again this time......]

Li Ziyu slowly remembered the little he knew about this family as things happened one by one.

Lu Bai was a little unconvinced. Why couldn't he just tell her all this? Why did he have to keep it to himself and pretend to be deep?

Still, nothing~

cut.

"Does Captain Deer believe in murder through psychological suggestion?" Li Ziyu asked quietly.

Lu Bai was in a trance for a moment. She put down her hand on Li Ziyu's shoulder and put away the rogue smile on her face.

How could she not believe it? This unsolved case from ten years ago had troubled her for ten whole years.

"I believe it." Lu Bai lowered her voice, but after a moment, she smiled and patted Li Ziyu, "There is no perfect crime in the world. Even if the opponent is powerful, we will still find him out."

Li Ziyu couldn't help but find it funny when he saw Lu Baixiang pretending to be so heartless.

we.

This word sounds good.

Li Ziyu called her, "Lu Bai, everyone has their own secrets. I am also curious about why you were sent from Beijing to Wuzhou."

Lu Bai said he didn't want a bright future in Beijing, but he gave it up. Li Ziyu didn't believe that there was no reason behind it.

Zhang Hai put down the phone and ran towards Lu Bai, "Captain Lu, Li Baicheng has been taken to the police station."

Li Baicheng is Li Fu's younger brother.

Lu Bai also had an excuse to divert the question from Li Ziyu. She walked straight out of the villa and said, "Check the logistics information of these things. We will go back to interrogate the person first."

Li Ziyu stood with his arms folded, quietly watching Lu Bai's back as he walked away.

Deer team, we have a long way to go.

"Mr. Li asked you if you are going back?" Zhang Hai approached Li Ziyu.

Li Ziyu glanced sideways and said, "Go back and buy two buckets of instant noodles first."

"Are you hungry?"

Li Ziyu did not answer. He followed Lu Bai in a few steps and they returned to the police station together.

In the interrogation room, Lu Bai and Zhang Hai sat at a long table, in front of them was the well-dressed Li Baicheng.

He sighed in boredom, "Officer, why did you arrest me?"

Zhang Hai: "You must have heard about your brother's family of four being murdered."

"Well, so?" He answered casually, "You want me to help them collect the bodies?"

Lu Bai took over the conversation, "Why? You don't want to?"

Behind the one-way glass, Li Ziyu folded her hands, looked deeply at the man on the interrogation chair, and observed him motionlessly.

"Some people are born as demons. How can I, who live in the light, collect the bodies of demons?"

They have committed many evil deeds, and who knows which enemy is seeking revenge...

Suddenly, the words that Li Ziyu said when he first heard her inner voice exploded in Lu Bai's mind.
