Chapter 945 The Dangerous Huo Sinian
As he left, Secretary Ye, who had come with Huo Sinian, also departed.
A short while later.
Only Lin Tan and Huo Sinian were present.
Seeing that she looked fairly well, Huo Sinian pushed up his glasses and asked casually, "Have you recovered?"
"What exactly do you want?" Lin Tan asked directly, clearly not wanting to say a single unnecessary word to him.
"Didn't I say that before?" Huo Sinian answered the question patiently, "I will give you time to consider it. If I am not satisfied with your result after the time is up, I will revise the answer myself."
There was life in Lin Tan's eyes.
Huo Sinian's gaze fell on the glass in her hand, and he still spoke in a calm and unhurried tone: "I heard you just threatened to commit suicide to get them to let you go?"
Lin Tan subconsciously pulled her hand behind her back.
She knew very well that Huo Sinian was a madman.
She dared to say those things in front of those people, but she wouldn't dare say them in front of him.
After all, the time she threatened him with death, not only did it not work, but she almost got her legs broken and was locked up.
"Why don't you threaten me in front of me?" Huo Sinian's expression remained the same as before, without anger or emotional fluctuation. "Maybe I'll feel sorry for you and let you go."
Lin Tan did not speak.
Huo Sinian approached her step by step: "What do you mean by not answering? Do you not want to talk to me, or do you hate talking to me?"
Lin Tan turned her face away.
"You've become stupid after just one trip. You used to know how to act obedient and please me, but now you're throwing a tantrum and going against me." Huo Sinian cornered her against the wall, pressing his body against hers. "Do you want to be punished?"
Lin Tan's eyes froze.
Memories of the past flooded my mind.
Those who compromised and feigned obedience, those who made concessions and were forced into it.
"It seems you do want to." Huo Sinian placed his hand on her waist.
"I don't want to!" Lin Tan hurriedly pushed him away, her eyes filled with undisguised fear and unease.
Huo Sinian stood there quietly watching her: "If you don't want to, why don't you answer my question?"
Lin Tan pursed her lips.
"Now I'll ask, you answer." Huo Sinian exuded an air of pressure, yet his tone remained gentle. "Why did you threaten your bodyguards with suicide but not me?"
Lin Tan: "You will not be threatened."
Huo Sinian smiled: "Trying to turn Gu Yang against his will and escape?"
Lin Tan: "Yes."
Huo Sinian: "Escape to Qin Mo's side?"
Lin Tan: "Yes."
"You actually answered when I asked you to?" Huo Sinian pinched her chin, his fingertips gently tracing her red lips. "Don't you know I don't want to hear these answers?"
“You made me say it.” Lin Tan met his gaze.
"Did I tell you that I would get angry if I wasn't satisfied with the answer?" Huo Sinian moved closer to her. "You should know all too well the consequences of getting angry from all those years ago."
Lin Tan's body began to tremble uncontrollably.
Huo Sinian picked her up and carried her upstairs.
Lin Tan struggled fiercely: "Let me go! Let me go!"
Huo Sinian remained unmoved and carried her upstairs. Just as they were about to reach the bedroom door, Lin Tan stabbed the glass in her hand directly into his chest.
Because of excessive force.
Her hand, which was gripping the glass, was also bleeding.
Huo Sinian frowned, kicked open the bedroom door, and threw her onto the bed.
Behind his glasses, he glanced at the bleeding wound on Lin Tan's chest, then at the bloodstained glass still held in Lin Tan's hand, and chuckled softly, "You were pretty ruthless."
Lin Tan was truly terrified.
She would rather Huo Sinian kill her than see him with that expression.
Huo Sinian in this state is an unpredictable madman.
"Aren't you afraid I'll get angry and break your arms and legs?" Huo Sinian asked.
Lin Tan did not speak.
But there was fear in her eyes about this matter.
She knew that Huo Sinian meant what he said, and that once he really got to that point, he would not hesitate to break her arms and legs, leaving her crippled here.
Huo Sinian said to the person outside the door, "Call the doctor over."
Bodyguard: "Yes."
A short while later.
The doctor came over with a medical kit: "Boss."
"Bandage her hand," Huo Sinian said casually.
Doctor: "Yes."
When Secretary Ye, who had followed him, saw the wounds on his body, she frowned slightly, looking somewhat worried: "Your wounds?"
"It's alright." Huo Sinian's gaze was still fixed on Lin Tan.
For the next half hour.
After treating Lin Tan's wound, the doctor then treated Huo Sinian's wound.
Although glass is sharp, it's not as easy to apply force as a knife, so Huo Sinian's wound wasn't very deep; it's just that the glass shards were difficult to remove.
"Should we replace the glass and ceramic items here?" Secretary Ye asked, looking at the blood-stained shards of glass lying to the side.
"No need." Huo Sinian put on his clothes and covered the gauze. "If this happens again, just break her hand. She'll behave once it's broken."
Secretary Ye looked at Lin Tan.
The latter, with a pale face, dared not move.
"All of you, get out of here," Huo Sinian ordered.
"Okay." Secretary Ye left with her entourage.
Not long after.
Only Lin Tan and Huo Sinian remained in the room.
Compared to downstairs, the atmosphere is now much quieter. Lin Tan, who was initially confrontational, doesn't dare to say a word now, for fear that she might break her hand if she says the wrong thing.
She wanted to make threats, which was fine, but she didn't want anything to actually happen to her body.
"Let's talk?" Huo Sinian sat down on the single sofa next to her, his gentle demeanor carrying a hint of nonchalance.
"What do you want to talk about?" Lin Tan replied, but her fear was evident.
"Do you want to die, or do you want to get along with me?" Huo Sinian said calmly, as if asking whether he wanted Chinese or Western food for lunch. "Once you've chosen, we can continue our discussion."
Lin Tan's body stiffened.
Those once beautiful fox eyes were now devoid of their brilliance, filled only with wariness and fear.
What does "getting along well" mean?
"Treat me the way you treat Qin Mo." Huo Sinian crossed his legs and placed his hands on his lap. "Forget about your marriage to him, and just treat me as your fiancé."
Upon hearing this...
Lin Tan suddenly smiled.
His eyes were full of mockery and sneers.
"fiancé?"
"yes."
"Who do you think you are, my fiancé?" Lin Tan said bluntly. "We've never had that relationship from the beginning."
Huo Sinian: "You choose death?"
Lin Tan: "Yes."
She can never go back to the life she used to live.
It's even less likely that she would betray her relationship with Qin Mo.
If I'm destined to never escape, I might as well die.
“That’s straightforward.” Huo Sinian showed no surprise whatsoever. “I respect your choice. One month from today, I will choose a way you would like to send you off.”
Lin Tan frowned, seizing on the key phrase: "Why a month later?"
“You don’t acknowledge our relationship, but I do.” Huo Sinian stood up and walked to the bedside, leaning slightly over to support himself on either side of her body. “So for the next month, I will fulfill my responsibilities as a fiancé.”
Lin Tan instinctively stepped back.
Her intuition told her that this was not a good responsibility.
