Chapter 637 is about a different price.
Qin Luofeng couldn't quite articulate his emotions, but deep down he still harbored some concerns and worries.
But in the end, because this person was Qin Mo, he chose to believe him.
Although Qin Mo is usually cold and aloof, he will do his best to complete the things he promises.
"Be nice to Grandpa, and it will be easier to get the letter of understanding from Aunt," Qin Mo advised him, not wanting him to have made up his mind to come all this way only to end up accomplishing nothing.
Qin Luofeng agreed.
Not long after.
The two then arrived in front of Old Master Qin.
At this moment, Grandpa Qin was sunbathing and chatting with Jiang An. Qin Luofeng paused when he saw Jiang An, since they hadn't seen her from their angle earlier, only Grandpa Qin.
"We've arrived." These were just two simple words from Old Master Qin.
Qin Luofeng: "Grandpa, Aunt."
Qin Mo also called out.
Old Master Qin: "Sit down."
The two took their seats one by one.
"You two talk," Jiang An said, standing up. He could tell that the two of them had something to discuss with the old man.
Old Master Qin tried to call her back, but Jiang An had already left the scene.
Seeing his reaction, Old Master Qin didn't say much, but instead turned his gaze to Qin Luofeng and Qin Mo: "Which of you was looking for me?"
Qin Luofeng spoke first: "Me."
Old Master Qin: "Have you thought it through?"
Qin Luofeng: "Mm."
Old Master Qin: "So what do you think?"
"I know I was wrong about what happened to my aunt. I'll apologize to her after we finish talking," Qin Luofeng said, enunciating each word clearly.
Seeing that he had truly come to his senses, Old Master Qin asked, "Then why didn't you admit it before?"
"I was worried that you were biased towards Jiang Ruan, so I used our conversation as evidence to help her," Qin Luofeng said after much consideration.
Old Master Qin looked at him: "Aren't you afraid now?"
Qin Luofeng replied truthfully, "I'm not afraid, you're not that kind of person."
If his brother hadn't comforted him, and if his grandfather hadn't given him another chance, he probably wouldn't have figured it out so quickly.
"Go find your aunt," Old Master Qin said gently. "and explain things to her."
Qin Luofeng paused.
Grandpa Qin rarely confided in him: "That little girl has a lot of evidence. Whether you and your father admit it or not, the result will be the same. At most, you'll just have a shorter sentence if you cooperate a little."
"Could you tell me what they are?" Qin Luofeng asked.
"Go ask Ruan'er or An'an," Old Master Qin said, not giving a direct answer. "They'll tell you if they want to."
At this point, Qin Luofeng knew that his grandfather wouldn't tell him.
"You go with Luo Feng." Old Master Qin looked at Qin Mo. "You two talk to An'an and the others properly. If you have to admit your mistakes, then admit them. Don't beat around the bush and do anything else."
"Okay," Qin Mo replied.
Grandpa Qin didn't talk to them any longer: "Go on."
Qin Mo left with Qin Luofeng.
Jiang Ruan had just seen Zhou Ran off.
On the way back.
Mo Mo glanced at Jiang Ruan several times.
"Just say what you have to say," Jiang Ruan noticed.
"Was Zhou Ran sent over by my ex-husband on purpose?" Mo Mo asked.
Jiang Ruan was still thinking.
Tang Bai answered first: "Probably not."
Jiang Ruan glanced sideways: "What do you mean?"
“I had someone check during your conversation just now, and the person his sister likes does indeed work in the third design department of the Qin Group,” Tang Bai said. “She really liked that person during her university years.”
Mo Mo: "Then why didn't he just go to Qin Mo?"
"What if he goes to Qin Mo and Qin Mo asks him to help with the lawsuit?" Tang Bai said bluntly, "Don't forget he's his ex-husband's man. If Qin Mo is with the young lady, the ex-husband will definitely side with the young lady."
Mo Mo thought for a moment and nodded in agreement: "That's true."
During the conversation.
Jiang Ruan remained silent, lost in thought.
"Boss," Mo Mo suddenly called out to her.
Jiang Ruan: "Hmm?"
Mo Mo: "Why didn't you say anything just now?"
Jiang Ruan: "?"
Mo Mo: "Are you thinking about your ex-husband?"
"What am I supposed to say after you two have already said everything?" Jiang Ruan's words were calm and natural, revealing no hint of anything amiss.
Mo Mo: "Something's not right with you."
A hint of doubt flashed in Jiang Ruan's eyes.
“You didn’t answer my question directly just now,” Mo Mo said bluntly, her eyes fixed on Jiang Ruan. “You’re definitely thinking about your ex-husband.”
Jiang Ruan ignored his pointless question and left.
"Boss, wouldn't you say this is a case of getting angry out of embarrassment?" Mo Mo asked Tang Bai in a serious tone.
"If you don't know how to use words, then use them less." Tang Bai tapped him on the head. "The boss is busy with work every day now, where would he find the time to think about those romantic things?"
Mo Mo thought for a moment: "She's not busy now."
Tang Bai: "Where isn't busy?"
Mo Mo: "We've received the shares."
Tang Bai: "But the lady's case is not yet closed."
Mo Mo: "We have all the evidence needed for the case. Now we just need to hand it over to the lawyers, the police, and the court."
Tang Bai: "..."
That's the logic.
But given how much Jiang Ruan cares about things, it's impossible for her to completely relax and stop paying attention to the progress.
"Didn't you not care about these things before?" He found Mo Mo's behavior a bit strange.
Mo Mo didn't hide anything: "Someone sent me a message last night."
Tang Bai asked, "Who?"
Mo Mo: "My ex-husband's bodyguard, Lin Bei."
Tang Bai paused for a moment: "What do you want?"
"He asked me what my boss had been doing lately, and also asked me to ask my boss if he missed his ex-husband." Mo Mo told him everything, but deliberately kept his voice low so that Jiang Ruan wouldn't hear.
Tang Bai gave him a strange look.
Mo Mo: "What kind of look is that?"
Tang Bai's suspicious gaze fell on him: "Didn't you dislike them before? You would report every little thing to the young lady, how come you're secretly cooperating with them now?"
"The boss said I should learn to make good use of the resources around me." Mo Mo said seriously, "He promised me that as long as I help him with these things, he will listen to me if I need anything in the future."
Tang Bai chuckled immediately: "You believe him just because he says so?"
Mo Mo: "I don't believe it."
Tang Bai: "Then why did you ask the young lady if she missed her ex-husband?"
“Disbelief doesn’t mean he can disobey me.” Mo Mo’s expression remained unchanged as he said this, his expression serious. “If he breaks the agreement, I can beat him up; he’s no match for me.”
Tang Bai: "..."
Tang Bai gave him a thumbs up.
Mo Mo pulled his hand away and asked, "Does the boss miss her ex-husband?"
Tang Bai: "How would I know?"
Mo Mo: "Aren't you good at reading micro-expressions? What was she thinking when I asked that question just now?"
"Well," Tang Bai deliberately dragged out the last syllable.
Mo Mo's face turned serious.
Tang Bai didn't tell him: "It's a different price."
Mo Mo: "..."
Tang Bai: "When I was with the captain before, other teams had to give our team benefits if they wanted to borrow me. Even though you are my teammate, we still have to talk about money."
Mo Mo thought about it and realized that made sense.
He didn't argue, but simply asked directly, "How much? I'll ask Lin Bei for it."
