"I forced her to be with me." Qin Mo gripped Lin Tan's hand tightly. "If there's fire, rush in..."
Lin Tan squeezed his hand, signaling him not to say anything.
Qin Mo glanced sideways.
I don't understand.
"There are some things I bought for Mom in the back seat of the car," Lin Tan said, trying to get him out of the way. "Could you get them for me?"
Qin Mo frowned slightly.
He looked at her with concern.
He knew very well that if he left, his mother would definitely make things difficult for him.
"Go quickly," Lin Tan urged, giving him a look that she was alright.
Qin Mo considered it carefully.
I left anyway.
Watching Qin Mo leave, Yu Peiyun's expression immediately turned sour, and she said sarcastically, "Miss Lin is the first person to have Qin Mo so obediently under her thumb."
"It was my fault for not keeping my promise to you," Lin Tan said gently. "I accept that you have a problem with me because of this. If I were in your shoes, I would be angry too."
Yu Peiyun paused.

"It was also our oversight not to inform you in advance about getting the marriage certificate," Lin Tan said.

Lin Tan continued, "With the Qin family's capabilities, hiding Qin Mo's relationship with me would be a piece of cake."
Yu Peiyun: "Are you really willing to keep your marriage a secret?"
Lin Tan: "Yes."
Yu Peiyun: "You should know that if it were made public, your connection with the Qin family alone would give you access to a lot of resources."

"Can I trade these things for dinner?" Lin Tan glanced at the setting sun outside and asked naturally, "We'd like to have a meal here."
Yu Peiyun moved her lips.

"I'll take your silence as a yes." Lin Tan's lips curved into a smile, giving off a natural and comfortable feeling. "By the way, where's the first-aid kit? I'd like to treat Qin Mo's wound."

Qin Mo: "If she takes her anger out on you, I'll just take you away."
Their conversation reached Yu Peiyun's ears outside the door.
