Chapter 64 Preparing for Dad Number One
“Uncle Jiang, we don’t have ten million in working capital right now. Can we pay you in installments?” Ye Yanzhi asked sincerely.
Jiang Chenren straightened his chest: "Of course."
"Then during this time, could you please not cause trouble for Jiang Ruan, not come here to bother her, and not go to her company to make a scene, so that she can have some peace and quiet for a while?" Ye Yanzhi continued to ask.
Jiang Chenren was extremely pleased with himself at this moment.
I didn't even think about Ye Yanzhi, who had just arrived, how could he know that he would cause trouble at the company?
He spoke with an air of superiority, as if it were a favor: "Yes."
Ye Yanzhi smiled and said, "Thank you, Uncle Jiang."
"When will the money be transferred to my card?" Jiang Chenren felt much relieved at the thought of not having to wash cups there anymore. "I need it urgently."
"Anytime is fine." Ye Yanzhi finally revealed his true colors. "I just don't know how much you need for now, since the amount and the sentence are different depending on the amount."
Jiang Chenren: "?"
Jiang Chenren was stunned: "What kind of sentencing?"
"Extortion!" Ye Yanzhi spread his hands, looking as innocent as possible. "If we don't give you money, you'll cause trouble at Jiang Ruan's house and company."
"This is my daughter's house!" Jiang Chenren's anger, which had finally subsided, flared up again, and he started yelling at him, "I can do whatever I want, and it's none of your business to tell me what to do."
“This isn’t just Jiang Ruan’s house.” Ye Yanzhi was quite good at making things up. “This is a place we share with her. Your disturbance is affecting not only her but also us.”
Jiang Chenren's gaze swept around the room.
Aside from Jiang Ruan and Sui Sui's daily necessities, there was no one else at all!
"Want to see the contract? I'll have someone send it over." Ye Yanzhi said as if it were the truth.
Jiang Chenren looked at Jiang Ruan with a livid face.
Jiang Ruan met his gaze head-on, neither dodging nor avoiding him.
"Very well." Jiang Chenren gritted his teeth. "Aren't you afraid that if you push me too far, I'll kill you?"
“If you had that kind of guts, you wouldn’t have come here to find her,” Su Zhu said. “Having gotten used to being pampered, you wouldn’t be courting death.”
Jiang Chenren might go crazy.
But no matter how crazy he gets, it shouldn't actually lead to someone's death.
Even though he is currently at a low point, his two or three decades of wealth have taught him that once he succeeds again, he can live that kind of life again.
This was indeed what Jiang Chenren was thinking.
"You can leave now." Jiang Ruan's feelings for him had run out. "Don't make a scene so everyone knows."
If he had treated her and her mother as well as before, she would have done everything she could to raise money for him without hesitation. But he absconded with the money, cheated her out of her property and savings, and even forced her to work as a hostess.
Even the strongest emotions will be exhausted in these situations.
Jiang Chenren clenched his fists tightly, the feeling of powerlessness that he couldn't threaten Jiang Ruan surged into his heart again, and finally all his emotions turned into one sentence: "Don't you want to know why I abandoned you and your daughter back then?"
Jiang Ruan didn't say anything.
The problem is simple: it's because you don't love them.
“From the time your company went bankrupt until your mother had that accident, did she ever say a single bad word about me in front of you?” Jiang Chenren said, word by word, “and even told you not to take these things too seriously.”
Jiang Ruan paused for a moment.
Jiang Chenren asked again, "Didn't you ever think about why she wasn't angry at all?"
Jiang Ruan once asked her mother this question, and her answer was: There's no need to waste your feelings on unimportant people.
But that's my father, why is he an unimportant person?
But before she could get an answer, her mother had an accident and has been in a coma ever since.
She never received that answer.
"You've met your grandparents and aunts since you were little, but have you met your maternal grandparents, uncles, aunts, and the like?" Jiang Chenren bombarded her with one message after another.
Jiang Ruan answered without hesitation: "My mother said that she was an orphan."
Jiang Chenren sneered: "Does your mother's manner of speaking and demeanor resemble that of an orphan?"
Unlike...
He seems more like someone from a scholarly family.
"You settle the bar's debts for me, and I'll tell you the answer to everything." Jiang Chenren kept going around in circles until he got to this point.
Jiang Ruan didn't believe him: "Mom will tell me when she wakes up."
That day she said she would tell her a story when she got home.
Who knew that I would still be on this road after several years?
Jiang Chenren, his anger rising in his chest, cried out: "Jiang Ruan!"
Jiang Ruan said calmly, "I have something to talk to my friend about. If there's nothing else, please leave on your own."
Jiang Chenren was seething with anger, but Ye Yanzhi's previous words made him wary. If he hadn't been investigating for over twenty years without finding out Jiang An's identity, he would have used her to threaten Jiang Ruan long ago.
It is precisely because it is too mysterious.
It was so mysterious that he dared not act recklessly.
"Uncle Jiang, please." Ye Yanzhi gestured for him to leave.
Jiang Chenren glared fiercely at Jiang Ruan before leaving, secretly plotting to achieve his goal in another way.
The Huo family bodyguards downstairs, who were still trying to come upstairs with an excuse, immediately perked up when they saw him come down. After he got into his car, they immediately called Huo Zhizhou to inform him of the matter: "BOSS, Jiang Chenren has left."
"What excuse did you use to get up there?" Huo Zhizhou asked.
Bodyguards: "We didn't go up."
Huo Zhizhou: "?"
The bodyguards said, "While we were still thinking of an excuse, Young Master Ye and Miss Su went upstairs."
Huo Zhizhou: "..."
The chill in Huo Zhizhou's eyes gradually hardened: "Go see Assistant Jiang yourself tomorrow."
The bodyguards exchanged bewildered glances: "What do you want with Assistant Jiang?"
Huo Zhizhou: "Let them find you another job."
The reason these people were initially placed nearby was because they were skilled and discreet, but it was unexpected that they were so dim-witted that Ye Yanzhi was able to take advantage of such a simple matter.
After hanging up the phone, before I could even explain to Assistant Jiang, a message appeared on my phone: "[The problem you caused should be solved by you, not by my prospective number one dad.]"
Huo Zhizhou's fingertips twitched slightly as he dialed Sui Sui's number.
Every year, it hangs up in seconds.
Huo Zhizhou hits again, and Sui Sui keeps hanging.
When Jiang Ruan went in, she saw him struggling with his children's smartwatch: "What's wrong? Is the watch broken?"
"No." Sui Sui shook her little head, and seeing Ye Yanzhi and Su Zhu behind her, she greeted them with a smile, "Hello Uncle Ye, hello Aunt Su."
The two of them patted his head and praised him for being such a good boy.
Sui Sui smiled at them with her eyes crinkling into crescent moons. Knowing that the adults had something to say, she took the initiative to say that she wanted to go to sleep, so Jiang Ruan helped her wash up.
Looking at the people bustling around, Su Zhu and Ye Yanzhi had mixed feelings.
I watched for a while.
Su Zhu pulled Ye Yanzhi to the balcony: "Come here."
"What are you doing?" Ye Yanzhi asked, but his feet followed her without telling him.
“I ran into Gu Shixi when I got off the plane today.” Su Zhu said to Jiang Ruan when she saw that Jiang Ruan wasn’t looking this way. “He asked about you indirectly and even asked me if you like Ruan Ruan.”
Ye Yanzhi pressed further, "What was your answer?"
Su Zhu: "I told him to get lost."
