Chapter 822 Two People Who Are the Same Size
During their casual conversation, Qin Jiangye had already led her toward Song Zhi's direction.
Compared to the lively conversation in the main banquet hall, Song Zhi's room was much quieter. Knowing that she disliked excessive drinking and flattery, the organizers had specially arranged a lounge for her.
Inside the lounge at this moment.
Song Zhizheng and Junyi hugged each other.
One is warm and cheerful, the other is dignified and elegant.
"Why are you here?" Song Zhi looked at Junyi, who was wearing a cheongsam and had only a simple hairpin in her hair but was still elegant, and gave her a hug. "I was saying I would come to find you after the banquet."
"Knowing you're busy, I decided to come and find you." Junyi's voice was very pleasant, soft and delicate, and her fox-like eyes, just like Lin Tan's, were full of longing for her friend.
Song Zhi led her to the sofa next to him: "Come, sit down."
"You two can chat at your leisure." Xie Chang'an was only responsible for dropping his wife off and didn't interrupt their reunion. "Message me when you're done, and I'll come pick you up."
"Tsk tsk tsk." Song Zhi sighed, "Only you two are still so lovey-dovey after all these years."
Junyi smiled but remained silent.
Xie Chang'an lifted his foot and left.
Just then.
Qin Jiangye appeared with Lin Tan. As soon as he arrived at the door, he called out to her. Compared to his usual drawn-out tone, he now had a more youthful air about him: "Aunt Song, it's been a while since I last saw you. You've gotten younger and younger."
Song Zhixun looked over.
Upon seeing it was him, a look of affection and tenderness flashed in his eyes: "You little rascal."
"You have no idea how much I've missed you since I last saw you?" Qin Jiangye led Lin Tan away, still speaking in that nonchalant yet polite tone.
Song Zhigang said he was a chatterbox.
Then I saw Lin Tan next to him.
That instant.
She was stunned for a moment.
Not only her, but Junyi next to her and Xie Chang'an, who was about to leave, also stopped.
All eyes were on Lin Tan, and the air seemed to freeze.
Lin Tan was also stunned.
His gaze fell on Junyi's face, and his heart began to pound uncontrollably.
She wasn't particularly moved when she first saw the photo, since it was an old one, taken when Mrs. Jun was young. But now that the living person was in front of her, she felt a strange sense of familiarity.
Regardless of appearance.
It is a familiarity that comes from the depths of one's soul.
"And who is this?" Song Zhixian asked, only a few words floating in his mind.
They look so alike.
She's practically a carbon copy of Junyi when she was young.
"She's my friend, and also an artist that the company is heavily investing in developing." Qin Jiangye subtly elevated Lin Tan's status, not wanting people to think she was deliberately trying to piggyback on his fame. "She's currently filming in Director Ning's production team."
"You little rascal," Song Zhizhao joked as usual, "you've got your abacus all over my face."
Qin Jiangye chuckled.
They don't hide their thoughts at all.
"What's your name?" Song Zhi asked Lin Tan.
"Huh?" Lin Tan looked away from Jun Yi's face, her mind a mess. She quickly sorted out her thoughts and gave an answer, "Lin Tan, Lin as in double wood, Tan as in sandalwood."
"A good name," Song Zhi praised.
Lin Tan said very humbly, "Thank you, senior."
“This child looks quite like you, doesn’t he?” Song Zhi looked at her best friend again.
"Huh?" Junyi's reaction was exactly the same as Lin Tan's. Realizing her own loss of composure, she quickly composed herself and nodded. "It does look quite similar. If October is alright, she should be about the same age as her."
October was the nickname of Junyi and their deceased daughter.
Song Zhi then asked Lin Tan, "How old are you?"
Lin Tan: "Twenty-five."
Junyi's heart trembled even more violently.
Twenty-five...
October is just as big.
She couldn't help but look at Lin Tan again, and their eyes met.
In a short time.
Emotions welled up in both of their eyes.
"They really do look alike," Qin Jiangye remarked, a rare occurrence for him. "I was wondering why they looked so familiar when I first saw them."
I didn't understand Qin Mo's thoughts before.
Now it seems he wants to get Lin Tan involved with Aunt Jun?
Aunt Jun's feelings for her deceased daughter might actually be helpful.
"Your name is Lin Tan?" Junyi's eyes were reluctant to leave Lin Tan's face, and there was restraint in her eyes.
Lin Tan nodded slightly: "Mm."
Junyi: "Now you're an actor?"
Lin Tan: "Yes."
Junyi: "It must have been very tiring."
Lin Tan: "It's alright."
Junyi wanted to say that Song Zhi was also an actress, and that she could ask her if she had any questions in the future. However, considering that this was their first meeting and she didn't know Lin Tan's personality or character, she ultimately didn't say those words.
Xie Chang'an, who was standing next to her, shook his head, signaling her not to get too emotional.
"Is Director Ning very strict?" Song Zhi took over the conversation, giving Junyi a moment to breathe and think.
“A little, but it’s all to make the work better presented,” Lin Tan replied.
Song Zhi: "Being selected by Director Ning shows that you have great potential."
Lin Tan: "Thank you, Senior Song Zhi."
Song Zhi was somewhat surprised: "You know me?"
"I'm a fan of yours. I've watched all your movies and interviews." Lin Tan said honestly. Before coming in, she was preoccupied with how to greet her idol and how to speak in a way that would make him like her.
But once inside...
All thoughts were thrown to the back of my mind.
Even she herself didn't know why she was being swayed by a stranger.
They just look alike.
They had never crossed paths before.
Thinking of this, she unconsciously looked at Junyi again.
“That’s true.” Qin Jiangye warmed up the atmosphere, preventing an awkward silence. “She’s more of a fan than I am.”
Song Zhi: "You? A fan?"
Qin Jiangye smiled and said, "Of course."
Song Zhi often bickers with him, and he genuinely likes this junior: "More like a hater."
"You're making me very sad."
"You talk as if you've seen my movies."
"I must watch every single one of them."
"Did you buy tickets for every movie?"
"What are you saying? I wasn't even born when you entered the industry."
"Fake fans."
The two bantered back and forth, but the atmosphere was relaxed.
Of the four major families in Haicheng, Song Zhi's favorite was Qin Jiangye, even more so than Xie Yi. Sometimes she wondered how Qin Muchi, that idiot, could have such a fun child.
“You’re right, I’m a fake fan,” Qin Jiangye said. “I’ve stocked up on a few bottles of your favorite wine for you. When do you have time to come over for a couple of drinks?”
Song Zhi continued to banter: "It depends on my mood."
"Then just let me know when you're in a good mood, and I'll prepare some good food and wine for you." Qin Jiangye always managed to win people's favor. "I won't disturb you and Aunt Jun's reunion today."
“Okay,” Song Zhi replied cheerfully.
Qin Jiangye exchanged a few more polite words before leaving with Lin Tan.
They left.
The lounge fell into a brief silence.
Song Zhi broke the silence: "This child really looks like you. If we had met her a few years ago, I might have mistaken her for you."
