Chapter 275: Steady Flow

Chapter 275: Steady Flow

The meal ended in silence without any awkwardness.

The evil spirit’s cooking skills are indeed very good. This plate of poached chicken tastes very authentic and is also the most delicious meal Zhang Qiling has had in the past three years.

I don't mean anything else, I just have been searching for the past three years, and I have managed to solve problems such as food and clothing, so my cooking skills are really good.

He is even now wondering if his cooking skills can reach the level of the evil spirit after he learns to cook.

Sang Mo cleaned up the dishes and brought them into the kitchen. After coming out, he went outside, lit a cigarette and sat on the reclining chair, smoking and looking at the night sky.

When Zhang Qiling came back to his senses, he found that he was the only one sitting at the table. He got up and went outside, watching Sang Mo's every move, then went back to the kitchen to wash the dishes.

When the evil spirit saw him come in, he started washing the dishes without saying a word and was stunned for a moment.

She floated out and said to Sang Mo: "Master, although the mute is self-aware, he definitely wants to show off in front of you and make his presence felt."

"They all went to wash the dishes. But washing dishes is not as hard as cooking."

Nannan's intention to seduce was particularly obvious. Sang Mo smiled and said, "Nannan, you have worked hard today. I will cook tomorrow."

This was not what the evil spirit wanted, so she curled her lips and said, "Master, that's not what I meant."

"The mute is here, are we still going to live here?"

"Where will the mute sleep at night? Will he sleep with his master? It seems that his master hasn't broken up with him. When they met today, he even called him his boyfriend."

"But no matter what decision the master makes, I will support it."

Sang Mo asked, "Do you want to go home?"

The evil spirit looked into the distance, "Master, do you miss home? I'm fine with it. Wherever you are, that's home."

Sang Mo also looked at the dark night sky dotted with twinkling stars, thought for a moment and said, "Stay for a while longer."

"We came here on September 1, which is still a month away."

The evil spirit asked, "Master, do you want to stay here for four full years?"

She couldn't remember the exact day she had arrived, but it was autumn. Now that she heard the owner say this, she calculated the days and realized that if she stayed for another month, she would have lived there for four years.

I came here in the autumn of 2005, and now it is the end of summer of 2009.

Sang Mo responded, "Well, you have to have a beginning and an end."

After hearing this, the evil spirit didn't say anything else. She had already sensed that Zhang Qiling had finished washing the dishes. Until Zhang Qiling came out of the kitchen, the evil spirit looked at him, then at her master, and slowly floated away.

Zhang Qiling brought out a wooden stool and sat down next to Sang Mo. He didn't say anything, but stayed beside him quietly, glancing at Sang Mo from the corner of his eyes from time to time.

Sang Mo took out a cigarette and threw it on his legs, then threw the lighter over.

Zhang Qiling lowered his eyes to take a look, then took out a cigarette, held it to his lips and lit it.

Neither of them spoke until they finished their cigarette, until the night grew darker and the Cold Dew deepened.

It was not until Sang Mo smoked several more cigarettes, which might have been a few hours, that he said, "Go take a shower."

"Wash away the fatigue from days of running around and have a good sleep tonight. Aning will come over in a few days and bring me supplies."

"The bathroom is behind the kitchen. You should have seen it. There are toiletries in it. Go to the bedroom to get your change of clothes."

Zhang Qiling was silent for a moment and then asked: "Have you been in contact with Aning?"

Sang Mo hummed, "Not always. We only contacted each other after living here for a year."

“Because there is no supplies.”

Zhang Qiling, "......"

Sang Mo added: "If this place wasn't so remote and the conditions weren't so bad, she would have installed a bathtub for me. Unfortunately, there's no electricity here."

"The hot water is boiling in the pot. Go take a shower first. I didn't do any exercise today. I'll just soak my feet after I wash up."

Zhang Qiling got up and went to the kitchen. There was a large pot of hot water in the big iron pot on the stove. He went to find a foot bathing basin, scooped hot water into it, and then poured some cold water. When the water temperature was suitable for soaking feet, he brought out the basin and placed it in front of Sang Mo.

Sang Mo glanced at him, but did not refuse. He took off his shoes and socks and put his feet in the basin to soak.

Zhang Qiling went to get him a pair of slippers, and carried his shoes and socks into the house. He was completely quiet, even his heart was quiet. After putting his shoes away, he went to the kitchen to get some water for a bath.

Listening to the noises coming from the kitchen, Sang Mo was soaking his feet while thinking about opening the ghost eye for him.

When Zhang Qiling came out of the bath, Sang Mo was still soaking his feet. The water in the basin was only slightly warm. Zhang Qiling reached in to test the water temperature and asked with a raised eyebrow, "Why are you still soaking in the water when it's cold?"

Sang Mo blinked, "I forgot because I was thinking about something."

Zhang Qiling got up and went to the kitchen again. The cold water in the iron pot had been warmed up. He scooped out a spoonful of hot water with a ladle and said, "Take it, run some hot water over it and wash it again. Go to bed when your feet are warm."

Sang Mo lifted his feet. Zhang Qiling poured hot water into them and tested the water temperature again. "It's just right."

Sang Mo put his feet in and said, "Very good."

The water temperature warmed up the cold feet, and Sang Mo raised his feet to finish soaking. After drying his feet, he put on slippers. Zhang Qiling then bent down and picked up the foot basin to pour water.

Sang Mo looked at him again, turned around and went into the bedroom.

This wooden bed is actually not that big, but it is slightly larger than a single bed, so it is just enough for two adults to lie down.

When Aning first came here, she complained that the conditions were so poor and she had to live such a hard life.

In other words, she was just complaining. Aning respected Sang Mo's choice. When she came here that time, she even set up a tent outside and lived there for more than half a month.

Aning would come every year after that. If someone had noticed Aning's whereabouts, it would not have been so long since three years had passed without someone coming to visit.

Sang Mo took off his coat and went to the bathroom to wash up. When he returned to the bedroom, he saw Zhang Qiling sitting in front of the wooden bed and daydreaming.

[It's all our fault. We should have a good life, but we made him suffer here. 】

Sang Mo rolled his eyes, sat on the bed, kicked off his slippers and lay down on the bed, "Boyfriend, it's time to sleep, remember to blow out the oil lamp."

Oil lamps are used for lighting. Without electricity, this is the only way to light.

Zhang Qiling sighed in his heart, blew out the oil lamp and sat down beside the bed. Sang Mo was already sleeping inside, leaving half of the space empty for him.

He lay down in the empty seat, resting his head on the pillow and looking at the dark wooden roof, thinking: "It will leak if it rains, and it won't be able to withstand the cold wind if it snows." 】

[If Sang Mo wants to continue living here, we have to renovate the wooden house tomorrow. 】

He really went through all his worries, leaving Sang Mo, who was lying next to him, a little speechless, but there was some warmth flowing in the silence.

It was obvious that when they met, they were still secretly complaining and pouring out their hearts to each other. I originally thought that after they lay down together, they would have some active thoughts in this regard in their minds.

But what this man was worried about was whether the wooden house could be waterproof or cold-proof, which made him seem like a person with a mind full of garbage.

He clicked his tongue, "Sleep."

"Hmm." Zhang Qiling responded with a light "hmm".

[Wait until he falls asleep and then hug him gently....]

Sang Mo: Haha.
