Chapter 28 Did you see that card?
Five minutes later, the barking of dogs shattered the pink bubble between the two.
Seeing their owners cuddling for so long, both dogs got a little jealous and anxiously howled, trying to squeeze between them. They wanted a hug too…
Yu Yue blushed and subconsciously withdrew from that warm embrace.
This time, the other person didn't stop her. Instead, they squatted down again and rubbed the dog's two heads.

Yu Yue found it amusing and, while the other person and Meili were happily being intimate, entered the electronic lock code for the room door.
With a 'beep', the door opened, and Xin Qi finally looked up.
Most of his face was hidden under the deliberately pulled-down brim of his hat, making it impossible to see his features.
"Go on," Xin Qi patted the two dogs' bottoms, signaling them to go home.
After seeing Meili and Kaixin obediently enter the house, Yu Yue also planned to go in.
Just then, someone blocked the door she was about to close with one hand, their eyes filled with accusation.
"You're just going back like that?"
"Otherwise what?" Yu Yue asked instinctively, then realized what he was thinking, laughed in exasperation, and immediately said, "What, you want to come in and sit down?"
"Is that not allowed?" Xin Qi complained. "I rushed back as soon as I finished filming, all travel-worn and exhausted. For whom?"
Yu Yue pointed at his clothes and said disdainfully, "You know you've been traveling all day, you're filthy. Why don't you go take a shower and get some sleep?"
She noticed the dark circles under someone's eyes and the bloodshot veins in their eyes.

This is a recipe she learned online, and she buys a week's supply every time she goes grocery shopping. Her two dogs, Kaixin and Meili, love it, and it's easy to make.
After feeding the two birds, she simply cooked herself a bowl of instant noodles, cracked an egg, and ate it with two sausages, thus completing her meal.
Just as she was taking out the trash, the doorbell rang.
She ran over curiously and approached the cat, only to see someone holding a schoolbag, standing anxiously behind the door.
Yu Yue: ……
She opened the door and asked speechlessly, "What are you doing?"
Xin Qi: "I forgot to top up my water and electricity bills."

"I'm just here to mooch some water from you." He was incredibly impolite.

Yu Yue was relieved to find that he was wearing pajamas and hadn't come out of the bathroom naked. But behind that relief was a faint, inexplicable disappointment.
She didn't know what was wrong with her. She had never been in a relationship before and had absolutely no experience. If she were the kind of naturally gifted person who was good at it, like Lin Shiya, she wouldn't have gone through so much time together in middle school without realizing that the other person liked her.
Pretending to glance at the steamer, Yu Yue casually said, "The dog food will be ready soon."
Xin Qi glanced at her resentfully, but could only see her back as she waited in front of the steamer in the kitchen.
"Oh." He sighed and sat down at the table. Something was better than nothing; he hadn't had the chance to eat a meal cooked by someone before, and he wanted to cherish it.

Yu Yue felt an urge to hit him. But she turned around and got him a spoon, handing it to him instead.
"Thanks." Xin Qi picked up the spoon, looked at the colorful, pasty dog food in the bowl, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. He'd just treat it as a healthy meal; his diet over the past few months hadn't actually been much better, consisting of chicken breast every day.
She took a bite, and the taste was better than she had imagined. Maybe it was because she was hungry, or maybe it was because she had made it herself. In any case, Xin Qi found herself getting more and more addicted to it.
"You're quite easy to feed." Watching someone obediently eat their meal, Yu Yue instantly had the illusion of being fed a happy and beautiful meal.
Xin Qi rolled her eyes at her, then lowered her head and silently ate her dog food (or rather, dog food).

Meili was originally a bit silly, but because she always played with Kaixin, she's become smarter.
"Yeah, just like you," Yu Yue bluntly exposed.
Xin Qi was about to nod when she felt something was off; she had a feeling there was something fishy going on.
Is it a compliment to say that the dog is just as smart as him?
Yu Yue ignored him and went to watch TV in the living room.
Without anyone around, Xinqi quickly finished her meal and went to the kitchen to wash the bowls and spoons.
"You can leave now," Yu Yue said, pointing towards the door, her eyes still fixed on the television screen.
Xin Qi curiously leaned over and discovered that Yu Yue was watching a period drama, and the female lead was none other than Zhou Yinghou, who was co-starring with him as his brother this time.
Besides acting in movies, she also filmed several TV series, but unfortunately, she didn't win the Best Actress award.
Xin Qi pursed her lips and couldn't help but comment, "You'd be better off watching my variety shows than her dramas."
"Who wants to see you?" Yu Yue rolled her eyes and shooed him away again. "Go back and rest."

After seeing the door close, Yu Yue turned off the TV.

The person on the bed blinked upon hearing this, seemingly somewhat disappointed.
Yu Yue was speechless. Was this guy thinking the wrong thing? What was he feeling down about?
She decided to ignore him and went back to her room to sleep.
I have to get up early to walk the dog tomorrow, so even if he doesn't sleep, I do need to.
However, just as she was about to turn and leave, a large, calloused hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
