Chapter 8 Do you want an autograph?

Chapter 8 Do you want an autograph?

The next morning, Yu Yue arrived at the house Lin Shiya had rented.

Sure enough, it was an upscale residential complex in the city center, with only two households per floor. Outsiders were required to register their identity upon entering; the management was very strict.

Lin Shiya rented a 200-square-meter suite on the first floor with a garden. The room was very large and could easily accommodate two people and a dog.

Speaking of dogs...

"Xiaoya, where's your dog? I can't see it..."

"Oh, you mean Xiao Bi?" Lin Shiya coughed lightly upon hearing this. "I'm boarding him at a pet store. I figured we'd be quite busy moving these next few days, so I'll pick him up after we're all settled."

"Oh, I see." Yu Yue nodded. If she had to pack everything up before moving, she really wouldn't have the energy to take care of the dog.

Not to mention that both of them were novices and had never owned a dog before, so they had no experience.

They would be completely helpless if the puppy got sick from stress.

So she didn't think much of it and started tidying up the house.

The moving company Lin Shiya hired provided excellent service. They helped her organize her belongings in the morning, loaded them onto the truck, and then moved everything into her room, saving her a lot of trouble.

Now she just needs to organize the clothes she wants to wear, and then gradually tidy up the rest.

By the time everything was almost done, it was nearly noon.

"Let's go, we need to get there early," Lin Shiya said as she ran over.

"Where to?" Yu Yue didn't react.

"Of course we're going to Xinqi's live event, have you forgotten?" Lin Shiya glared at her. "You're not going to back out, are you?!"

"Oh, I forgot." Yu Yue got up and rubbed her lower back. "Okay, let's grab something to eat and head out."

She didn't do it on purpose; she was genuinely busy and forgot.

Yu Yue finally remembered that she had agreed to attend Xin Qi's meeting yesterday because she couldn't refuse the other party's request.

She had originally planned to stand far away so he wouldn't see her. If he found out she had gone to his meet-and-greet event and was among a group of fans shaking their heads and shouting "Xin Qi is so handsome," she would be utterly humiliated.

When Yu Yue arrived at the scene, she realized she had been overthinking things.

The ground floor of the mall was packed with people, and even on each of the upper floors, there were people waiting at the railings to look down and watch the spectacle.

Long queues formed in front of the newly built event stage.

For the first time, Yu Yue truly felt that Xin Xiaoqi had become a star.

Look at those fans who are chasing stars. Even though there's still a long time before the event, they've already been waiting there for the moment he appears.

Judging by the time, the two of them had just grabbed some takeout for lunch and then rushed over.

Of course, Lin Shiya also had time to get ready. Yu Yue herself was the same as always, wearing comfortable home clothes, no makeup, and just wearing a pair of glasses.

The shopping mall where the event was held was indeed very close to the upscale residential area where they rented their apartment; it was only a ten-minute walk away. However, when they arrived, they found that there were already many people queuing up.

The scene was crowded and noisy, and Yu Yue complained endlessly. She was really stuffed. She had come here and waited for so long just to see that bastard.

But when he turned around, he saw that Miss Lin Shiya was very excited and showed no impatience whatsoever.

She can't endure any hardship normally, but when it comes to following celebrities, she's not afraid of suffering at all.

Time passed by, and just when Yu Yue's legs were aching and she was about to give up, a gasp from the fans at the scene finally cheered her up.

"They're here! They're here!" Lin Shiya exclaimed excitedly, tugging at her sleeve.

The host on stage was introducing, "Let's welcome, Xin Qi!"

Yu Yue looked in the direction of the voice and saw a tall, thin, and handsome figure walking out from behind the stage—it was that guy.

"Hello everyone, I'm Xin Qi." He picked up the microphone and greeted the fans below the stage. Standing there, his cool and aloof demeanor was very prominent.

"What an arrogant person," Yu Yue muttered under her breath, her voice drowned out by the shouts of the crowd.

Next came product introductions and interactive games with fans, eliciting wave after wave of screams...

"Wow, so handsome!" "He's too handsome! Xinqi, I want to have your babies!" "He's a hundred times more handsome in person than on TV!!" "Oh my god, I'm going crazy!"

"What's so handsome about this guy..." Yu Yue couldn't help but mutter again, "Being handsome can't put food on the table."

"Aww, we Shin Ramyun fans will always support you!!" The fans cheered again from the crowd.

Yu Yue: "Where is the point... her personality is awful."

"What are you muttering to yourself over there?" Lin Shiya tugged at her sleeve, her face full of excitement. "Look, he's a hundred times more handsome in person than in photos! Confess, were you so overwhelmed by his handsomeness that day?"

Yu Yue: ? ?

"I didn't see his face clearly," Yu Yue replied casually. "When I went there, he was playing games in his room and wouldn't let me in. You're overthinking it."

"Oh, didn't you faint in his arms?"

"That's what his agent said later. I was too confused to remember anything else."

"That's a real pity." Lin Shiya turned her attention back to the stage and stopped talking.

"It's not a pity at all," Yu Yue said with a smile.

Xin Qi's interaction with fans lasted only half an hour, and she soon began to leave amidst the fans' reluctance.

Perhaps because they were too reluctant to part with him, and too excited, the group saw him off all the way to the outside of the mall.

Yu Yue was also dragged along by Lin Shiya and squeezed out onto the street by the crowd. She didn't even know when her shoes were stepped on by the excited crowd.

She gritted her teeth and vowed that she would never come again, no matter how much Lin Shiya begged her.

She'd be better off going back to bed and watching TV, or even just scrolling through her phone.

I packed my bags and moved last night, and today my back and waist are aching all over.

Having stood for so long, and with her illness just recovered, she felt sore all over and a little dizzy.

"Ahhh, Xinqi, look here!! Look here!"

Yu Yue heard another scream and realized that Xin Qi had somehow moved closer to her.

It started to get crowded around her, but luckily Lin Shiya kept holding her back.

"Ahhh, look! Yu Yu, Xin Qi is looking this way! Did he see me?!"

"I don't know, I'm dizzy, Xiaoya. And I have some tinnitus..." Unfortunately, Yu Yue's weak voice was still drowned out by the crowd.

She was so squeezed that she felt dizzy and weak in the knees, and almost knelt down.

Fortunately, a hand grabbed her in time.

Luckily, Xiaoya was there; otherwise, if I had fallen there, it would have been too dangerous if I had been trampled.

Yu Yue instinctively grabbed Xiao Ya's arm to steady herself, but why did she feel that Xiao Ya's grip was so strong, it hurt when she pulled her? And had Xiao Ya gained weight recently? Her arms had become thicker, and when she pinched them, there was even muscle, they were particularly hard.

Yu Yue finally realized something was wrong; this wasn't Xiao Ya's hand!

Before she could even look up to confirm, she heard a nasty sneer from above.

Do you want an autograph?

Yu Yue looked up: !!

Help! What's going on? I'm holding Xin Xiaoqi's hand!

She had somehow been pushed to the front row, looking just like a crazed fan chasing after a celebrity. She even tripped and fell in front of her idol, who caught her. Yu Yue, as if burned, quickly withdrew her hand from the other person's forearm.

"I didn't expect you all to be so enthusiastic. Even though you're not feeling well, you still made the effort to support me." Xin Qi said, taking the free fan that the brand had given him while he was queuing from Yu Yue, and signing his name under his promotional photo.

His style was bold and unrestrained, just like the man himself.

"Then I can't let you down." He smiled, handing her the signed fan, his eyes full of mockery.

Yu Yue: ……

She would endure any discomfort to support him; she swore he was doing it on purpose!

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Yu Yue had no choice but to bite the bullet and accept the fan.

"Be careful, don't fall again," Xin Qi said meaningfully.

Unfortunately, Yu Yue didn't hear what he said, because the next second she was overwhelmed by the excited crowd.

"Ahhh, I want to sign too! Look at me!!"

...

A few minutes later, Yu Yue and Lin Shiya finally managed to get out of the crowd.

She stared blankly at the autographed fan in her hand.

"Ahhh, he just helped you up and even talked to you!!!" Lin Shiya exclaimed excitedly. "He's so nice! By the way, Yu Yu, how are you? Are you alright?"

"Maybe it's because I just recovered from being sick, my legs are still a little weak," Yu Yue said with lingering fear. "Isn't it supposed to be not very popular? Where did all these people come from?"

“Most of them are just joining in the fun,” Lin Shiya said, catching her breath. “I just heard a lot of people asking, ‘Which celebrity is so handsome?’”

"By the way, Yu Yue! Do you want this fan? If not, give it to me!" Lin Shiya's face was flushed, and she was in a state of super excitement, her eyes fixed on the fan in her hand.

"Oh, you can have it, I don't want it." Yu Yue hurriedly threw the fan into her arms as if she were throwing away a fly.

"Aren't you even a little tempted? You're so close now, you must have gotten a good look at his face!" Lin Shiya asked gossipy. "Are you really willing to give me this fan?"

"It's alright." Yu Yue said, her teeth itching.

Lin Shiya was shocked. "Yu Yue, your resistance to handsome guys is too high! I realized I really underestimated you!"

"Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing it before."

"What?" Lin Shiya didn't hear clearly; the crowd in the distance was still very noisy.

"It's nothing, let's go find somewhere to have dinner." Yu Yue changed the subject, rubbing her stomach, "I'm hungry."

"OK, let's go then."

The two linked arms and returned to the mall.

What Yu Yue didn't know was that, in the end, Xin Qi, who hadn't originally planned to sign anything, ended up signing for over an hour before he was finally able to leave.

In the car that was specially arranged for pick-up and drop-off, Li Youliang watched his artist rubbing his wrist, full of questions.

"Did you take the wrong medicine today? You're so dedicated..."

"Shouldn't you be beaming with satisfaction?" Xin Qi retorted.

"..." Li Youliang sighed and took out several apartment layouts for the neighborhood. "Alright, let's get down to business. Didn't you say you wanted to settle in S City? I've found a few nice places. Take a look and see which one you prefer."

Xin Qi didn't bother to look. The car was stopped at a red light. He turned to look out the window and raised an eyebrow in surprise. There were two figures walking into the residential area.

"What?" Li Youliang asked.

"Anyone around here?" Xin Qi pointed outside to the sign for Jingxiu Jiayuan residential complex.

"It's very expensive here." Li Youliang's face twitched, and he had a bad feeling about it.

"Oh, then this place will do."

Li Youliang: ? ?

A note from the author:

----------------------

To avoid suspicion, the male lead changed his name to Xin Qi, with "Qi" meaning auspicious.

Xin Xiaoqi was the male lead's former name. After his debut, he changed it to Xin Qi. Only people who knew the male lead before know this, such as the female lead and his manager. They still usually call him Xiaoqi.
