Chapter 8 I took my medicine
The cat's paws, shaped like small steamed buns, pressed against the firm, elastic muscles, pinching them rhythmically. The fair skin was quickly turned pink by her pinching. Ning Qi felt an unprecedented sense of security and stomped on them for a while before realizing that she actually had a pair of cat paws.
She flipped open the paw pads and looked inside. Wow, they were pink and so cute!
She licked it again. Hmm, the texture felt so real. Could it be that she had really been a cat?
Looking at the two little white feet, it seemed to be a white cat. Ning Qi turned her head away. No, there seemed to be yellow and black fur on its back.
Could it be a calico cat? Hehe, that's a beauty among cats.
Before she could even examine her own body closely, the body she was pinching raised its owner's hand and skillfully and gently scratched the top of her head.
Ning Qi was so comfortable that she forgot to think. She squinted her eyes and started purring. Soon, she was pulled into a warm embrace and fell asleep comfortably.
When she opened her eyes again, she saw the familiar bed curtains. Ning Qi was in a daze for a moment before she remembered her current identity.
She sat up abruptly, clutching her forehead. How could she have such a dream!
It must be because Xiao Sui invited her to pet him yesterday, and her senior sister told her a story about a kitten, that's why she's like this.
But it's too realistic; even the feel is incredibly realistic.
She let out a howl and lay back down on the bed. Recalling the scene from yesterday, she slapped her right hand hard with her left. Her hand was so disobedient; how did it end up touching her like that? It was completely against her will.
She covered her face, and Xiao Sui's expression crept into her mind again.
He had been sitting properly, but to cooperate with Ning Xi's movements, he slowly lay down on the chaise lounge, his clothes and hair becoming disheveled, looking completely at her mercy.
The key point is that he also said to her, "Miss, I know you are not married yet. If you have any concerns about this, I can serve you with my mouth. Of course, you can also use those tools."
Ning Qi peeked in the direction he was pointing and was startled to find that a large box of things she had brought back from the Nanfeng Pavilion owner had been moved from the storage room to her room at some point.
Xiao Sui had already propped himself up and knelt at her feet, raising his head and tilting his chin up to face her.
Even though he couldn't see his eyes, Ning Qi couldn't help but be moved by his obedient demeanor.
Xiao Suixu didn't hear her reply, so he moved a little closer to her and asked again, "Is it alright, Miss?"
Ning Qi's heart was pounding rapidly, and the scorching atmosphere felt like it was about to boil.
She took a deep breath and saw Xiao Sui tentatively raise his hand and touch the hem of her skirt.
His face was calm and expressionless.
Ning Qi finally regained some of her senses and grabbed his hand. "Xiao Sui, I told you, you don't need to do these things. I kept you here so you could help me fetch some water, okay?"
Xiao Sui stopped moving and did not get up.
Ning Xi felt as if she had touched a hot iron. She pressed her other hand to his forehead. "You're so hot again. Do you have a fever? Are you not wearing enough clothes? It's not even summer yet, and you're dressed like this. It's evening, and you can easily catch a cold. Don't do that again..."
Xiao Sui opened his mouth, "I took my medicine."
Ning Qi stopped talking, and the two of them kept the truth about what kind of medicine it was.
He was unwilling to have come to this point, needing medication to recover!
The disordered heartbeat returned to its original frequency, and even the slightly feverish fingertips returned to their usual temperature.
"Go take the antidote." She suddenly pulled Xiao Sui up, the tall man letting her drag him, staggering as she pushed him out the door.
Ning Qi held her chest and took a few breaths. Thinking about it, it made sense. After all, she was a villain, so how could she easily submit to someone else? This was just something she had no choice but to do.
She patted her cheeks and rolled over.
Sigh, is she really that desperate? To the point that she made the villain take drugs to please her.
Qianyu and Zhizhi pushed the door open a little and listened to the sounds of sighing, clapping, and turning over inside. They looked at each other in bewilderment.
"What's wrong, Princess? Are you satisfied or dissatisfied with Young Master Xiao's service?"
Qianyu shook her head. "I can't guess."
Ning Qi quickly cheered up and sprang out of bed. After all, she still had to attend school, and if she stayed in bed any longer, she would definitely be criticized by Master Jingyan.
She got dressed, grabbed her wooden sword for practice, and hurried up to the main peak, sitting in the most inconspicuous spot to avoid being lifted up again.
Today, Master Jingyan probably had something on his mind, so he didn't make things difficult for her and released everyone after class.
Ning Qi hadn't forgotten what had happened before, and began searching for Qin Xiao in the crowd. After asking several people, she finally found him in an empty schoolroom. He was playing a card game with three people, looking excited, and it seemed he had won a lot of money.
Upon seeing her enter, the group immediately stopped playing cards. Qin Xiao even asked with an awkward smile, "Why did you come here? We were just playing around, please don't tell Master."
Ning Xi beckoned him out. She realized that she was infamous in the Huaguang Sect. Everyone was afraid of her, but that was also good, as it did have a deterrent effect.
"What do you need me for?" Qin Xiao asked humbly, bowing slightly.
“A few days ago, Brother Yan went to Nanfeng Pavilion. I heard it was for a disciple named Xiao Sui. I also heard that you were the one who sent that disciple there?”
Upon hearing this, Qin Xiao broke out in a cold sweat. "Princess, I was indeed confused in what I did, but Junior Brother Yan was only following Master's orders to bring him back. There was no other personal relationship involved. You can rest assured."
Ning Qi thought to herself, "How could there be any illicit affair?"
She snorted coldly and asked casually, "I heard that the three fellow disciples that disciple killed were all on good terms with you?"
"Yes." Qin Xiao looked at her with a slight doubt.
Ning Qi patted her chest, looking terrified. "My God, how can there be such a perverted person? It's too scary."
Qin Xiao also showed a sad expression, "Fortunately, the wicked will eventually get their just desserts, so they can at least find some solace."
"Yes, I saw him at Nanfeng Pavilion that day. He was blind and his tendons in his hands and feet had been severed. You did this? Well done."
Qin Xiao hesitated for a moment, then said, "I didn't do it."
"Who is that?" Ning Xi asked.
"It's probably a method used by Nanfeng Pavilion to discipline disobedient servants," Qin Xiao said vaguely. "As for that person, it's best if you don't inquire about him."
"Why? I also want to ask who bought him."
Qin Xiao looked around and said, "To be honest, that person has disappeared. Master Jingyan is furious and is investigating. I guess he was bought by some rich and powerful person and taken home as their plaything. There's still no news about him. He might even have been played to death. You can rest assured."
Ning Qi's gaze turned cold.
He clearly knew something about Xiao Sui's eyes, but he refused to tell her.
Could it be that the person who injured his eye wasn't Qin Xiao, but someone else entirely?
However, this person seems despicable, and the things he says are even more offensive; I must find a chance to beat him up.
——
Qin Xiao lied and said he was going home to visit his family. After leaving Huaguang Sect, he rushed straight to Zuixianglou, the most famous brothel in Yandu, under the cover of night. His cronies had already had a round of drinks. The person who organized the party, with his arm around a dancer, drunkenly said, "Old Qin, why are you so late? We've been waiting for you for ages. Time to drink!"
The others joined in the commotion.
Qin Xiao didn't refuse and drank three cups in a row. Amidst the cheers, he felt a little smug. He was the only one among them who had entered the Huaguang Sect.
"How's your cultivation going lately?" Sure enough, someone was concerned about his situation.
Before he could even open his mouth to boast, he heard someone swaying their wine glass and say, "I've heard that disciples of the Huaguang Sect only cost ten taels of silver when they enter the Nanfeng Pavilion, hahaha!"
Qin Xiao's face immediately darkened. "That person is no longer a disciple of our sect!"
"Hey, Lao Qin, you know that person?" someone asked curiously.
"Of course." Qin Xiao slammed his wine glass heavily on the table. "He's a bloodthirsty monster, a complete madman. Don't say he's a disciple of the Huaguang Sect again, or don't blame me for turning against you."
At this moment, someone took out a piece of hemp paper and placed it in front of him, asking, "Is this him?"
Qin Xiao narrowed his eyes, looked at the portrait clearly, and said decisively, "It's him."
The man immediately said to the crowd, "I told you it was him, but you didn't believe me! I saw him at Nanfeng Pavilion, and what Old Qin said matched exactly."
He then turned to Qin Xiao and asked, "Do you know about the wanted poster? He raped and murdered the Minister's daughter. The Minister has offered a reward of ten thousand taels of silver and a longevity pill to find him, and he must be alive. I guess he has already prepared ways to torture him."
Qin Xiao snatched the wanted poster, read it once, and immediately burst into laughter. "There's such a thing? He's definitely going to die a horrible death."
"Come on, bottoms up!"
After a few rounds of drinks, Qin Xiao was a little drunk. Thinking about his classes the next day, he knew he couldn't get completely drunk, so he quickly left the restaurant under the pretext of needing to relieve himself.
It was pitch black outside. He took a deep breath, which cleared his mind a bit. Using the moonlight, he staggered out of the city, preparing to fly back to Huaguang Sect on his sword.
Suddenly everything went black before his eyes. Before he could react, a sack was put over his head, and someone carried him up.
He was terrified. He was close to the Golden Core stage, how could someone have approached him so silently without him even noticing?
He struggled violently, shouting, "Who are you? Why are you tying me up?"
Voices came from outside the sack, "Miss, the person has been caught."
What young lady? Which wealthy family's daughter has he offended? Why resort to such underhanded tactics against him?!
He doesn't have any romantic entanglements to his name.
Qin Xiao's mind raced, but he couldn't come up with anything for a long time before he was thrown to the ground.
"Miss, the person has been delivered," a voice said from outside the sack.
Qin Xiao immediately said, "Miss! No matter which family you are from, I am Qin Xiao, the third son of the Qin family and the nephew of Consort Qin, a disciple of Master Jingyan of the Huaguang Sect. Are you sure you have the right person?"
The voice said crisply, "Go ahead and hit."
"Miss! Miss! I have no grudge against you, why are you treating me like this?" Qin Xiao shouted, and heard messy footsteps beside him. Soon after, sticks were hitting him with a series of blows.
Damn, that hurts! He's determined to find out who this young lady is, and no matter who she is, he won't let it go!
——
Ning Qi bought a courtyard in Yandu. Occasionally, when she didn't want to live in the palace or Hua Guangzong, she would come here. Now, it was more lively than ever before, mainly because some people's wailing was too loud.
In another room, she said to Xiao Sui, "How is it? Doesn't it sound especially nice?"
"It's alright," Xiao Sui said calmly.
Ning Qi was very puzzled, "Alright? He's your enemy, don't you feel relieved?"
Xiao Sui looked up at her, "Miss, how do you know about Qin Xiao? Why do you know about my feud with him?"
Ning Xi gasped. She had just told Xiao Sui Gu Xinxue's identity, and she really shouldn't have known these things.
She looked at Qianyu for help, but Qianyu also said she had no solution.
Ning Qi forced a smile and said, "I found out myself."
If Xiao Sui asked her any more questions, she would have to keep making things up. Fortunately, he just nodded, looked up, and solemnly said to her, "Thank you."
The howling had subsided, and Ning Qi waved her hand to indicate that it was enough and they could release the person.
"You're welcome. Just don't do that again next time," Ning Qi said.
Xiao Sui frowned. "What?"
Ning Qi glanced at Qian Yu, who immediately left the room and closed the door behind her.
"Take the pills to seduce me," she whispered.
Xiao Sui's body stiffened for a moment, and his ears immediately turned bright red in the candlelight.
"So cute! She doesn't look like a villain at all," Ning Qi thought to herself.
"What exactly do you want?" Xiao Sui asked after a while.
Ning Xi tilted her head and thought for a moment. Her original intention in buying Xiao Sui was very simple: she was attracted by his appearance.
"I want you to do it willingly." Let me touch you.
She swallowed the last three words back, lest Xiao Sui think she was a reincarnated lecher.
Xiao Sui remained motionless for a long time, as if he were stunned.
"Miss, could you please come out for a moment? There's something I'd like to confirm with you," Qianyu's voice came from outside the door.
"Wait for me to come back." Ning Qi pushed open the door and walked out.
Asagi handed her a piece of hemp paper and held up the lantern so she could see what was on it.
It's an arrest warrant.
Qianyu lowered her voice and asked, "Princess, is the person up there Young Master Xiao?"
