Chapter 21 Different Moonlight
The iron rod and the wooden stick collided violently, causing Luo Qinglin's palms to go numb and a sharp pain at the base of his thumb.
The bald man pushed the mop upwards with force, easily knocking it down, then changed direction and swung his hand straight towards Luo Qinglin's temples.
The mop was knocked out of his hand, and the iron rod was so close that it was about to reach his solar plexus. Luo Qinglin had to raise his left arm to protect his face.
puff......
The sound of steel hitting flesh was like the tip of a knife piercing fish on a chopping board. The huge shock penetrated his arm and spread all the way to his skull, making Luo Qinglin's mind dizzy.
Intense pain followed the shock, pulling Luo Qinglin back to reality from his trance. He clenched his teeth, without making a cry of pain, and raised his foot to kick the bald man hard between his legs.
"ah!!!"
The bald man had not expected Luo Qinglin to use such a "dirty trick" and could not avoid it. He screamed and backed away, covering his legs with his free hand.
The bald man was in so much pain that sweat formed on his forehead. The sweat flowed all the way into his eyes, stinging them and causing pain.
In his blurred vision, he saw Luo Qinglin walking towards him step by step, neither fast nor slow, his feet stepping on the long-fallen dead leaves, making a crackling sound.
When the people walked in, the bald man could see Luo Qinglin's expression clearly.
There was no emotion in his eyes, like a pool of stagnant water without ripples. His left arm was obviously red and swollen, but he seemed to be unaware of it.
As the man got closer, the bald man felt panic for no reason. He roared, clenched the iron rod and hit Luo Qinglin's injured left arm.
Bang!
When the iron rod hit the left arm, the bald man felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. His consciousness was shattered, and he fell backwards in a daze and fell to the ground.
In front of him was the starry night sky. Moving his vision forward, the bald man saw Xuan Chu holding a mop. She was panting and glaring at him.
But after just a few seconds, Xuan Chu raised his head slightly, and the anger on his face suddenly disappeared, turning into astonishment.
The bald man was puzzled and slowly moved his eyes downwards.
Luo Qinglin had a blank expression on his face. He breathed slowly with his mouth slightly open. His eyelids were half drooped and his pupils were dark, as if he was possessed by a ghost.
The bald man even felt that he was breathing white steam from his mouth, and even his breath seemed to be ice.
The white vapor seemed to be solid, and it pricked the bald man like ice chips, frightening him. He struggled to prop up his arms and crawl backwards, but he was not as fast as Luo Qinglin.
Bang!
His nose and lips were stepped on, and the dirt on Luo Qinglin's shoe soles fell into his nasal cavity. The bald man had difficulty breathing and begged for mercy, "Let me go, let me go, I was wrong! I apologize to her, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
"Shhhhh... don't tell lies." Luo Qinglin increased the strength of his foot, his voice as cold as snow, "How can someone like you admit your mistakes? You don't really feel sorry, but you regret being caught."
Luo Qinglin lifted his foot and lowered it all the way down, hanging it between the bald man's legs, his eyes cold, "Is that right?"
The bald man was so frightened that he lost his voice. Luo Qinglin raised his voice and asked, "Is that right?!"
"Yes, yes... No! No!" The bald man trembled and spoke nonsense.
"Look, you've admitted it yourself." As soon as the words fell, Luo Qinglin's suspended foot stomped down hard, one kick, two kicks, three kicks...
"ah!!!"
In the dark night, under the shadow of the trees, the bald man's screams were blown away by the wind, one after another, so tragic.
Luo Qinglin's condition was clearly not right. If he was not stopped, things would become difficult to resolve.
Xuan Chu walked up to him, grabbed his arm, and lowered her voice to persuade him: "Brother Luo, I'm fine, don't..." Before she could finish her words, her hand was shaken away.
Luo Qinglin didn't stop, he kept stomping and slowly tilted his head, like a puppet, staring with his eyes and asked: "Do you want to plead for him?"
"I......"
"Luo Qinglin!!!"
Hearing that it was Jiang Yanyu's voice, Xuan Chu finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Jiang Yanyu hurriedly stepped over the bathroom window, rushed to Luo Qinglin, pulled him away, frowned and asked: "What are you doing?"
"I'm helping him correct his mistakes." Luo Qinglin had a wooden face. He broke free from his hands that were bound around his arms, walked to the bald man again, raised his foot and continued to step down.
The bald man looked at the other two pleadingly, "Save me, save me, ah!!!"
The "punishment" began again. In the night light, the bald man's hoarse screams made people shudder.
When Jiang Yanyu saw the bruises on Xuan Chu's face and his messy collar, his breathing suddenly choked. Then he hugged Luo Qinglin's waist in panic and held him tightly in his arms with brute force.
"Alright, alright," Jiang Yanyu quickly tried to comfort the man in his arms as he was about to struggle again, "I'll get someone to help him correct himself. Let's go back first, okay?"
Jiang Yanyu winked at Xuan Chu, who quickly responded, "Brother Luo, let's go back first. Brother Jiang will send someone to teach him a lesson right away."
After being persuaded by the two, Luo Qinglin stopped struggling, but still asked distrustfully: "How can you guarantee that he will be reformed?"
"I promise," Jiang Yanyu stroked his head and coaxed him softly, "I'll have someone watch him and monitor his every move to prevent him from making mistakes again."
"real?"
"Really. I promise."
Luo Qinglin nodded with satisfaction and said in a normal tone: "Then let me go. I want to go back to shoot."
"Okay, you go back first, I'll help you watch him here." Jiang Yanyu slowly let go of his hand and took a step back.
After the shackles were removed, Luo Qinglin really stopped making trouble. He turned around obediently and walked towards the bathroom window with steady steps, as if nothing had happened.
This scene was too weird. Xuan Chu felt that Luo Qinglin's sudden madness and then quick calmness was even more frightening than the fact that she was held hostage.
Luo Qinglin slowly walked to the window and stretched his arms over the windowsill. His injured left forearm was swollen so badly that he had no strength to climb up to the window.
Xuan Chu was about to speak up to remind her, but Jiang Yanyu shook his head at her, signaling her to be quiet.
Seeing Luo Qinglin tensing his arms and trying hard to climb up, Xuan Chu felt creepy and he could almost hear the sound of his left arm bones cracking in his ears.
Fortunately, Luo Qinglin did not try to climb up by force. After struggling for a few times, he fell to the ground with a bang, and then lay motionless on the ground with his eyes closed.
It was not until this moment that Jiang Yanyu finally moved, walked to the window and picked up the person.
"Should we call the police, or call Jiang Chan and ask her to ask someone to deal with it?" Jiang Yanyu held the person in his arms, walked to the bald man, and kicked him in the face with a cold face.
Xuan Chu was stunned for a moment, and then replied: "Call the police. Even if you call Ms. Jiang, she will definitely ask you to call the police."
"Aren't you afraid of public opinion?" Jiang Yanyu asked back, "Even if you weren't injured, those self-media would distort the facts and make up rumors. They'd still pity you today, but tomorrow they'd say it takes two to tango and that you asked for it."
"It's okay, I'm not afraid," Xuan Chu shook his head and looked down at the bald man and said, "I'm not the perpetrator, so I don't need to feel ashamed. He is the one who should be ashamed."
The sirens of ambulance and police cars were getting closer.
The bald man was surrounded by extras and crew members. Disdainful looks were directed at him from all directions, and he was surrounded by discussions, ridicule and scolding.
Xuan Chu leaned against the window, hugging He Yihan who was sobbing softly. His mind was full of what Jiang Yanyu said before he carried Luo Qinglin into the car and left early.
"I wish his mother could think like you."
Xuan Chu raised his head. The moon in the sky was round and bright, with no clouds to hide its brightness, and its rays were now shining on her face and on the bushes.
But she knew that there were many bushes in the world that had never been illuminated by the moonlight.
