Chapter 34: Fox Spreads Its Tail

Chapter 34: Fox Spreads Its Tail

The sunrise in the desert comes late. It is not until nearly six o'clock that the sun slowly rises from the horizon.

At five o'clock in the morning, Luo Qinglin was awakened from his sleep. When I opened my eyes, it was still pitch black outside the window.

Jiang Yanyu was already dressed neatly, wearing a gray-black suit jacket on the upper body, a white shirt and a cherry red sequined tube top vest underneath, and a pair of wide-leg light gray trousers on the lower body. He was wearing large sunglasses and standing by the bed with his hands behind his back.

Luo Qinglin rubbed his eyes in a daze, thinking, aren’t we just going to the rooftop to watch the sunrise? Why is Jiang Yanyu dressed like a model who is going to walk on the runway?

They chatted idly until midnight last night, and it was not until 1 a.m. that Luo Qinglin was allowed back to the small living room to rest.

Before falling asleep, Jiang Yanyu lightly said, "Accompany me to watch the sunrise tomorrow morning."

Before he could open his mouth to refuse, Jiang Yanyu covered his ears, pretending to be a "turtle chanting sutras" and went back to his large living room.

Luo Qinglin stretched himself lazily and asked in a hoarse voice, "You are wearing three pieces of clothing, aren't you hot?"

"What's that? I used to walk the runway in a cotton coat in a temperature of nearly 40 degrees Celsius." Jiang Yanyu replied.

Jiang Yanyu lifted the quilt, grabbed Luo Qinglin's sleeve, and lifted him up, "Hurry up and get up. If you stay in bed any longer, you will miss the sunrise."

"Ha..." Luo Qinglin covered his mouth with one hand and yawned lazily. "I know, I know."

My eyes gradually filled with tears. As soon as I blinked, bright tears flowed out from the corners of my eyes and slid down my cheeks.

Luo Qinglin reached out his hand slowly, took out a piece of paper from the bedside table and prepared to wipe his tears, but before the paper touched his eyes, it was snatched away by Jiang Yanyu.

"Tsk, you're dragging your feet."

Jiang Yanyu swept his face with her fingertips, wiped away the remaining tears from the corners of his eyes and cheeks, and then picked him up.

The sudden suspension made Luo Qinglin's mind clear immediately, and he quickly said, "Put me down!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yanyu not only did not let go, but instead pulled Luo Qinglin's arms and put them around his neck.

"Before the plaster on your hand was removed, I was the one who carried you out of the bathroom every day. Now that your left hand is healed, you turn your face against me and won't even let me hold you?" Jiang Yanyu muttered in dissatisfaction, "You ungrateful bastard."

Is this how ungrateful people use it?

Luo Qinglin turned his head speechlessly, put his left ear against Jiang Yanyu's heart, and lowered his head, too lazy to argue with him.

Walking to the bathroom, Jiang Yanyu gently put Luo Qinglin down, twisted open the mint-flavored toothpaste and squeezed it onto the electric toothbrush, then held Luo Qinglin's face with one hand, and was about to brush his teeth himself.

"Okay, okay, I'm awake now. I'll do it myself." Luo Qinglin grabbed the toothbrush and said.

He wanted to take a nap while brushing his teeth, but Jiang Yanyu stood behind him with his arms folded, watching him through the mirror, like his high school dean, which made him unreasonably nervous.

Luo Qinglin guiltily glanced at Jiang Yanyu in the mirror, but was caught in the act.

"Why are you looking at me?" Jiang Yanyu asked indifferently.

"Nothing."

Luo Qinglin shook his head, quickly spat out the toothpaste in his mouth, scooped up some water and splashed it on his face, then washed it roughly and prepared to wipe it dry with a face towel.

Before he could touch her face, her hand was grabbed again. Luo Qinglin sighed and asked impatiently with empty eyes: "What happened again?"

"You don't even use facial cleanser?!" Jiang Yanyu's tone was full of surprise, as if he had done something unreasonable.

"I... aren't you in a hurry?" Luo Qinglin asked hesitantly.

Jiang Yanyu snatched the face towel and handed the cleanser to him, "You can't be so rough even if you're in a hurry. You must wash your face thoroughly and apply sunscreen before you can go out."

"knew."

Glancing at Jiang Yanyu's delicate and stable hairstyle and slightly modified eyebrows, Luo Qinglin asked as he rubbed the foam on his face, "What time did you get up?"

"Four."

"Why did you get up so early?" Luo Qinglin asked in surprise.

"Since it's such an important matter as watching the sunrise, of course I have to get up early and make good hairstyle. Unlike Mr. Luo, he sleeps until five o'clock and won't get up unless I call him. He doesn't take it seriously at all." Jiang Yanyu snorted coldly.

Even if you want to watch the sunrise, there's no need to be so ostentatious and dress like you're going to a fashion week show, right?

A conceited vixen.

Luo Qinglin slandered silently in his heart, quickened his hands, washed his face and applied sunscreen casually, put on a beige cotton shirt and went out.

The door leading to the rooftop is hidden in an inconspicuous corner on the F36 floor. There is a sensor installed on the door, and it can only be opened by swiping the door card of a specific suite.

As soon as the door opened, hot wind rushed in, blowing so hard that the hair on Luo Qinglin's forehead flew back.

It is now only a dozen minutes to six o'clock. The sky is no longer filled with twinkling stars, and gradually changes from pitch black to dark blue, with only a few extremely bright lonely stars still shining.

In the corner of the rooftop stands a huge dark red awning, with two lounge chairs and a small wooden dining table underneath. The chairs were covered with soft copper-colored cashmere couches and blankets, and on the dining table stood a pot of brewed Lophatherum tea and two small enameled porcelain cups.

Luo Qinglin followed Jiang Yanyu slowly, walking towards the corner with him step by step.

Jiang Yanyu's back was broad and tall, and his long legs made him walk very fast. If Luo Qinglin walked a little slower, he would be farther and farther away from that back.

The feeling of helplessness I had when I first entered the suite yesterday came back like a shadow.

After sitting down, Luo Qinglin sat up straight somewhat stiffly, and did not lean his back on the recliner, lying leisurely like Jiang Yanyu.

"What? Are you not used to watching the sunrise like this?" Noticing Luo Qinglin's restraint, Jiang Yanyu turned his head and asked.

"Well, a little bit." Luo Qinglin replied.

He had watched the sunrise on the hills, the beach, and in the forest before, but this was his first time watching the sunrise on the deserted rooftop of a luxury hotel.

"Then you have to get used to it," Jiang Yanyu turned back and looked at the distant horizon and said, "because in the future you will have to go with me to the Danube River, the Queen's Tower, and Hyde Park to watch the sunrise."

Luo Qinglin exhaled lightly, slowly relaxed his body, leaned back on the chair, and replied: "Okay."

The sound of the wind grew stronger and stronger, like the beating of drumsticks. No one spoke on the rooftop, just quietly waiting for the sun to rise.

As the deep blue in the sky gradually faded, a small golden dot bloomed from the east. The morning sun gradually rose higher, dyeing the horizon into golden satin with soft edges.

Strands of golden light sprinkled down, and when the sun passed over the horizon, Luo Qinglin's confusion was slowly soothed.

He turned his head quietly and found that Jiang Yanyu had not taken off his sunglasses, so Luo Qinglin asked, "Can you see clearly with sunglasses on?"

Jiang Yanyu clasped his hands across his chest, his lips tightly shut without answering, his body rising and falling in small arcs with his breathing.

"Jiang Yanyu?"

Luo Qinglin called out again, but still got no response.

Fell asleep?

The person who insisted on dragging him to get up early to watch the sunrise actually fell asleep when the sun rose?

Luo Qinglin sighed speechlessly, stood up, took the cashmere blanket folded beside him and put it on Jiang Yanyu.

After covering the blanket, Luo Qinglin squatted down, remained silent for a moment, then reached out and carefully took off Jiang Yanyu's sunglasses.

The long eyelashes drape under the eyelids like fan bones, and the plump lips are slightly pursed, bright red and moist. The male vixen looked as radiant and beautiful as usual, except that his eyelids were a little swollen, which was obviously the result of severe lack of sleep.

No wonder he has to wear sunglasses when going out.

A beautiful vixen.

Luo Qinglin unconsciously curled up the corners of his mouth, stretched out his finger, and gently poked the slightly swollen eyelid with as little force as possible.

The touch on the eyelids is wonderful, soft and cushiony, like Icelandic wool soaked in water.

The fingers moved downwards, from the tip of the nose all the way down to the lips, chin, and Adam's apple. The touch of each place was different, but inexplicably hot, making Luo Qinglin's fingertips itchy.

Before his fingertips continued to slide down uncontrollably, Luo Qinglin withdrew his hand as if he was burned, stood up abruptly, and panted softly with his lips slightly parted.

"Mr. Luo, are you panicking again?" The person who should have been sleeping peacefully suddenly opened his eyes and said with a triumphant smile.

Pretending to sleep? !

Luo Qinglin was frightened by the sudden voice and took a step back, staring, not knowing how to respond.

Before Luo Qinglin could recover from his panic, Jiang Yanyu grabbed his wrist, quickly sat up, pulled him into his arms, and then lay down together.

"Why didn't Mr. Luo answer me?" Jiang Yanyu asked frivolously, "Are you so flustered that you can't speak?"

Luo Qinglin buried his head and avoided answering. He muttered "childish" under his breath and tried to act like an ostrich and kept silent.

The sun rose higher and higher, and the endless golden light shone on the desert. The field of vision was filled with dazzling light, which made Luo Qinglin unable to open his eyes.

The wind is no longer as cold and arrogant as it was before sunrise. It is now wrapped in the heat of ultraviolet rays, creating a warm heat wave outdoors.

They didn't know how long they hugged in silence. Sweat formed on Luo Qinglin's forehead and his back was also sweaty, as if he had been swimming in water.

His forehead, shirt, palms, everything was wet with sweat, except his throat, which was just the opposite, with a dry mouth and tongue.

The temperature kept rising again and again. Luo Qinglin wanted to stand up and get out of the overheated embrace, but Jiang Yanyu held his waist tightly.

"Don't move."

"Let me up now, it's too hot."

"One minute," Jiang Yanyu said, "Hold me for another minute and I'll let go."

Luo Qinglin stopped struggling after hearing this. He endured the increasingly hot temperature and counted down silently in his heart.

One minute passed quickly, and Jiang Yanyu loosened the shackles as promised, allowing Luo Qinglin to hurriedly get up and flip over the recliner.

Jiang Yanyu stood up slowly, pointed at the small black dot in the distance, and said to Luo Qinglin: "Look there."

The buzzing sound and wind sound became louder and louder, hitting the eardrums.

Luo Qinglin raised his head and stared at the helicopter approaching in the sky, as if he had returned to the day when he met Jiang Yanyu again.

But this time, he did not cover his ears because of the harsh sound, nor did he cover his eyes, mouth and nose because of fear of the wind and sand.

The helicopter landed in the middle of the rooftop.

When the propeller stopped, Jiang Yanyu pulled Luo Qinglin's wrist and said as they walked, "Do you want to see what the desert looks like from the air?"

In the backlight, Jiang Yanyu's back was tall and broad, giving a great sense of security. The palm on his wrist was very warm, and Luo Qinglin no longer felt helpless about his extravagant lifestyle.

Luo Qinglin followed Jiang Yanyu's footsteps closely, letting him pull him forward and sit in the co-pilot cabin of the helicopter.

Jiang Yanyu did not ask the helicopter pilot for help, but personally fastened Luo Qinglin's seat belt, patiently put on noise-canceling headphones, and closed the plane door.

However, this brief sense of security was like an illusory phenomenon and soon disappeared.

Before he could even get comfortable in his seat, Luo Qinglin was nervously waiting for the helicopter to take off when he suddenly saw the pilot smiling and nodding at him, then opening the door and getting off the plane.

Immediately afterwards, Jiang Yanyu seamlessly took over the pilot's position, sat in the cockpit, put on headphones and prepared to take off.

"Wait! Where is he going?" Luo Qinglin grabbed the seat belt and asked in panic, "You want to fly the helicopter yourself?!"

Jiang Yanyu did not answer. A slightly smug smile appeared on his face. He skillfully started the throttle, slowly raised the collective pitch lever, and took off the helicopter.

When the helicopter's landing gear completely left the ground, there seemed to be a considerable pulling force that "pulled Luo Qinglin up from the ground."

Amid the panic of weightlessness, Jiang Yanyu's excited shouts suddenly rang out from Luo Qinglin's noise-cancelling headphones.

"Luo Qinglin, welcome to my world."

The author has something to say:

Jiang Yanyu: Wife, am I handsome? (wink)

Luo Qinglin: Let me out! Let me out now 555!
