Chapter 103 Dreaming of the Past Life 1

Chapter 103 Dreaming of the Past Life 1

This fish just loves to act.

After the two of them packed up, they walked out of the room together and waited for the cruise ship to dock before disembarking.

When he reached the first floor, Si Tang saw Chen Yue and Si Chenfeng not far away.

She paused and subconsciously glanced at Si Chenfeng, whom she hadn't seen for many days.

His face was far less energetic than before, and since his last visit to the hospital, he had gradually begun to look older.

"He won't live long." Fan Yi's emotionless voice suddenly sounded beside him.

Hearing this, Si Tang couldn't help but wonder, "Could it be..."

Her eyes swept over Chen Yue, who was standing next to Si Chenfeng with a cheerful look on her face.

With Si Chenfeng's death, she was obviously the biggest beneficiary.

"Tangtang doesn't want him to die?"

Seeing Si Tang staring in that direction, Fan Yi couldn't help but ask.

If she wanted her "father" to live, it was not impossible for him to do it for her.

"No." Unexpectedly, Si Tang's expression was as calm as water.

"Everyone has their own destiny. I don't want to do anything unnecessary and pitiful."

Si Tang turned around first, stepped onto the carpet and left.

She only wanted to change the fate of the Si family and herself. As early as when Si Chenfeng took Chen Yue into the Si family, she had no feelings for him.

Fan Yi raised his eyebrows slightly, looked at Si Tang's back, curled his lips slightly, and followed him.

The two figures disappeared, and at the corner, two men were standing there. They were Ling Xubai and He Moheng.

"Are you serious?" He Moheng's gaze fell on the sea outside the window, and he felt it was unbelievable.

"I'm doing academic research. Mr. He has already read those investigation reports. Why don't you believe me?" Ling Xubai's voice was still gentle.

"The mermaid clan that was born during the Atlantis civilization..." He Moheng's low voice sounded slowly.

"I believe Mr. He can also see that this has huge commercial value."

"What about you, Dr. Ling? What do you want? Do you just want his blood to research and prolong his life?"

"This is a major opportunity that will revolutionize human history," Ling Xubai chuckled noncommittally. "I will personally write the miracle in the history of mankind."

There was a strange flash in the handsome man's eyes, which showed strong ambition and madness.

"But I don't dare to measure its danger right now..." Ling Xubai walked over to the sofa and sat down, pouring a glass of wine. Given his heart failure, he'd never touched alcohol before. He took a sip without changing his expression. "What I'm certain of is that there must be a connection between it and Si Tang. At the very least, Si Tang knows his background."

"Sitang..." When this name was mentioned, He Moheng's heartstrings moved slightly.

"She is its weakness." Ling Xubai's expression was cold. "If we want to get its blood, we have to start with Si Tang."

He drank the glass in his hand in one gulp.

(Because at this time Ling Xubai just thought the male protagonist was an ordinary mermaid, so he used it as a substitute.)

Sea Garden.

In the middle of the night, Si Tang had that dream again.

On a spring afternoon in the back garden of the General's Mansion, Jintang kicked the pebbles at her feet out of boredom, oblivious to the mud staining the tips of her embroidered shoes.

In three days it would be her fourteenth birthday, but her brother had been ordered by the emperor to go on an expedition to the northern border. Since she had been weak since childhood and seldom went out, she was extremely lonely without any friends.

"Miss, please don't go too far, or you might catch a cold." The maid shouted from afar in the corridor.

Jintang nodded obediently and waved her hand, "I understand. I'll just take a look at the koi."

She walked along the bluestone path to the cold pond deep in the garden. This pond, fed by a spring outside the city, never froze. Her father had once said it was a gift bestowed upon the Jin family by the late emperor. Several red and white koi fish lived in the pond, and Jintang loved to feed them there.

Today, however, those vibrant figures were nowhere to be seen. The water was as calm as a mirror, reflecting Jintang's childish face.

"Where did they all hide..." Jintang squatted down, tapped the water surface with her fingertips, and ripples shattered the reflection.

Just then, a gentle sound of water could be heard from behind the rockery. Jintang looked up alertly, seeing a glimmer of silver light flickering between the rocks. It wasn't the red of a koi fish, but a silvery white that she had a vaguely familiar feeling, like moonlight.

"Who's there?" she asked in a low voice, her heart beating faster.

The sound of water behind the rockery suddenly stopped. Jintang lifted her skirt and carefully stepped around the slippery moss at the edge of the pool. When she reached the back of the rockery, her breath suddenly stopped.

Beneath the water, a silver fish tail curled up, its scales gleaming brilliantly in the sunlight.

Jintang's exclamation was stuck in her throat. The next second, the fish's tail swung, and a familiar, innocent face emerged from the water.

The first thing that emerged was his snow-white hair, which clung wetly to his porcelain-white cheeks. Then came his peach-shaped eyes. The irises were a deep ocean blue, while the pupils were thin, vertical lines, reminiscent of a cat or a snake. Drops of water trickled down his nose, landing on his slightly parted lips, so pale they were almost transparent.

"It's you... the mermaid baby." Jintang blinked, but suddenly felt that the baby seemed to be bigger than the last time she saw it.

What she didn't know was that these past few years were Fan Yi's formative period, and his growth rate was astonishing.

The boy propped his upper body on the rocks at the edge of the pool, his tail still submerged. Little Fan Yi tilted his head to look at the human and spoke slowly, his voice as soft as the wind blowing across the water.

"Sister. You said you would protect me, so I came to find you."

"How did you get here?" Jintang asked curiously.

Fan Yi's eyes flickered. "For the past three months, I've been chased by sharks, then captured by bad guys. They wanted to auction me off at a high price, but I broke free and escaped, falling into a lake outside the city. Then I discovered it was a living spring, so I swam and swam until I arrived here. Unexpectedly, this is my sister's home."

Jintang suddenly understood. No wonder she had begged her brother several times, but she didn't see him when she got to the beach last time.

Fan Yi looked at this human being's innocent and gullible appearance.

In fact, he had played enough underwater for the past three months and had eaten all he needed. When he was bored, he suddenly remembered that a human had said that they would protect him. So he ran over to take a look. He was really curious about what kind of environment could have nurtured such a silly character.

"Then... we'll be friends from now on. I'll protect you, baby mermaid." Si Tang smiled, two dimples appearing on his pale cheeks. "From now on, I'll have my brother seal off this pond and not let anyone in or out."

Fan Yi curled his lips slightly and swam slowly to Jin Tang's side. His childish voice was slightly deep.

"Sister, this is a secret. You must swear not to tell anyone else. No one." He held out his hand to her. "If you tell anyone, you will pay the price."

As he spoke, a bloodthirsty gleam flashed in his deep eyes.

Any greedy and lying human being will not have a good end in his hands.
