Chapter 136 About Feiya (Fanyou Extra)

Chapter 136 About Feiya (Fanyou Extra)

Fia Westerling stood on tiptoe, her fingertips barely reaching the dusty copy of "Chronicles of the Ancient Gods" on the top shelf.

The girl's purple pupils flickered in the dim candlelight, full of charm and spirit, but in the world it was a symbol of ominousness.

Moonlight slanted in through the stained-glass windows high above, casting mottled shadows on the stone floor.

The servants in the castle should all be asleep by this time, but Fia knew that if her father caught her sneaking into the family library again, she would be scolded.

"A Westerling lady shouldn't run around like a wild child," her father always said, "especially with those..." The words stopped on his lips, but Fia knew what he was going to say.

Especially your devilish eyes.

Fia slid down to the floor, clutching the heavy ancient book, and carefully flipped through the yellowed parchment. For thirteen years, those heterochromatic eyes had brought her nothing but rejection and fear. At gatherings of noble ladies, no one wanted to sit next to her. At church, those sitting next to her would deliberately keep their distance from her. Even vendors at the market wouldn't dare look her in the eye when giving her change.

They say heterochromia is a sign of being cursed.

Fia's fingertips traced the intricate runes on the pages, but the Holy Book said that the gods would bestow special gifts on those they chose.

The pages rustled in her hands as Fia eagerly searched for any record of heterochromia. Suddenly, a passage caught her attention:

"Fia, the goddess of the stars and the moon, wields the power of dreams and prophecy. During the War of the Gods, she was ordered to slay the God of Darkness. Her divine nature was shattered, and her soul was scattered."

Fia's heartbeat quickened. This description bore a striking resemblance to her dream from the previous night. In it, she stood above the starry sky, watching the gods around her fall one by one in the war of the gods, until finally, she herself, her soul shattered, and she saw the crimson eyes of the Dark God. But this was too absurd. She had always believed it was a fantasy. How could she possibly be a god?

Moreover, in the dream, the twelve gods fell and only the God of Light and the God of Destiny were left. But in reality, the twelve gods were still in the Pantheon - non-believers were not even qualified to enter.

"What are you looking for?"

A deep, pleasant male voice suddenly sounded behind her. Fia was so frightened that she almost screamed, and the book slipped from her hands. She turned abruptly and saw a tall figure standing at the intersection of moonlight and shadow.

His long, silvery hair cascaded down, shimmering in the moonlight. His attire was elaborate and opulent, even more regal than a duke. What shocked Fia most were his eyes. They were not human at all, heterochromia like hers, their gray irises shimmering with stars.

"Who are you?" Fia took a step back, leaning her back against the bookshelf. "How did you get in? Where are the guards?"

The silver-haired man took a step forward, and the moonlight completely illuminated his face. It was a face that was enough to make people forget to breathe, and it was so cold and noble that people dared not blaspheme it.

The faint lotus emerging between the eyebrows reveals the Zen meaning of Brahma.

"The guards can't see me, just like they can't see the little mouse that sneaks into the library every night." He bent down and picked up the "Chronicles of the Ancient Gods" with a movement as graceful as flowing water. "Are you looking for a way to become a follower of God?"

Feiya's eyes widened. "How did you know?"

"I know more than that, little Fia." The man's slender fingers gently stroked the pages. "I know you have the same dream every night: the twilight of the War of the Titans and the silver-haired gods. I also know..." He suddenly leaned down, looking Fia at eye level. "There's a voice deep inside you telling you you don't belong here."

Fia found it hard to breathe. This stranger had revealed a secret she had never shared with anyone. Even stranger, despite her intuition telling her to be afraid, she felt an inexplicable familiarity with this mysterious man, like fate, a pull from the depths of her soul.

"Who are you?" she said in a trembling voice.

He stood up, the moonlight now completely enveloped him, and his figure emitted a holy soft light.

"Many names have been given to me," his voice suddenly became ethereal and distant, "but to you, I will always be Fanyou."

Fia's knees buckled, and she nearly collapsed. Vanyu—the name of the chief deity, the supreme ruler of the Pantheon, the protagonist of the creation myth in the Holy Scriptures. She must be mad, or perhaps still dreaming.

"You...can't be..." Fia stammered.

Fanyou, if he is really that god, why is he not in the Pantheon but here?

He seemed to be able to hear her thoughts.

"The gods of the Pantheon are mere puppets," he said, words that overturned her worldview. "The true gods transcend the three thousand worlds."

"This is just a small world plane."

Fia felt like she was dreaming and her legs went weak and she stepped back.

Gently raising his hand, Fia felt a warm force supporting her, preventing her from falling. "Look at this." A ball of icy blue light condensed from his fingertips, and an image emerged within the light: a goddess with purple eyes and golden hair stood in a starry temple, the chief deity, Vanyu, placing a crown woven from stars on her head.

"This is..."

"Your true identity, Fia." Vanyou's voice softened. "My consort, the goddess of the stars and the moon. Billions of years ago, you perished in the war of the gods. I saw your soul shatter with my own eyes, but apparently, the dark god Hughes spared your life, leaving behind a single spirit. That is you. Recently, I discovered that your godhead had shattered into twelve pieces, scattered across the mortal world. I searched countless worlds and found the world where these fragments fell."

"This is ridiculous..."

Fan You sighed, and suddenly he reached out and touched Feiya's eyebrows.

The world exploded before Fia's eyes. Memories flooded back.

The morning light of the Starry Sky Temple, a stroll through the Eternal Garden, the excruciating pain of the body enduring the fatal blow of the Dark God during the War of Gods.

Fia stumbled back, incredulous. "Is this... all true?"

"Absolutely true."

"I am here to help you regain your godhood and return to your throne."

This is his duty not only as the main god, but also as a companion.

He simply waved his hand, and the Cosmic Staff appeared in the air. An ice-blue light screen appeared, and countless fragments reflected various worlds that were rotating.

"So, Fia," he extended his hand, "are you willing to travel with me through the three thousand worlds to retrieve the shattered and lost godhead?"

Fia looked on in shock, but had to believe what was happening before her eyes.

The girl looked up at the god who was melting into the moonlight, and finally reached out her hand.

"I do."

The encounter has just begun, and their story is yet to be continued...

-

At first, Feiya thought that her marriage with Fanyou was due to love.

Later, Fia discovered that gods had no concept of love. They were simply partners chosen by the Father God to be together.

Once upon a time, they fought side by side, sharing life and death, but it had nothing to do with love.

As a mortal, without the divine power, Fia soon couldn't help but fall in love.

Fanyou, who knew everything about her, quickly noticed it.

She had been avoiding Fanyou for several days, and was finally blocked in front of him. His words were soft but cold.

"Fia, this is not your fault. Once your godhood returns to its place, you will naturally forget this throbbing."

At that moment, Fia seemed to be mad with rage. The first time she saw this indifferent and calm face, she felt extremely bold.

After she realized what she had done, she fled in a hurry, leaving Fan You behind with a rare frown, his fingertips gently stroking the lips that were bitten and bleeding.

Although he and Fia had been together billions of years ago, they had never done anything more intimate.

This is certainly not Fia's fault. He married Fia to deal with the Father God, and later devoted himself to controlling the universe and the gods.

The relationship between them has always been like that of comrades-in-arms.

But that night, Fan You suffered from insomnia.

A flash of ice-blue light appeared, and a vine-like sprout emerged between his eyebrows.
