Chapter 10: Voyeurism and Sense of Disappointment
Fan Yi began to notice clearly that from that day on, Si Tang began to treat him with a little more respect.
When he came, he was so reserved that he didn't even swing on the swing.
He felt inexplicably unhappy.
That day, after delivering lunch, he did not leave immediately, but sat aside. Seeing that the wound on her neck was a little shallower, he felt relieved. After all, humans are too fragile, and he didn't want her to be pinched by accident before he had enough fun.
Si Tang was even more annoyed.
I don't know why this vicious fish didn't leave immediately.
Thinking about what happened the last time he stopped...Si Tang felt that nothing good would happen next.
He had already figured out his intentions, and resisting too much would drive him crazy. Si Tang didn't want to get hurt again.
Si Tang only needed to be moderately obedient. He should be respectful to him, but not too afraid of him, and maintain a calm attitude when talking to him.
But it's too difficult.
Si Tang clearly felt that he was in a bad mood recently.
Si Tang sat on the stone bench, standing straight with some restraint, actually being wary of his attack today.
For a long while, there was no sound, not even breathing. Si Tang glanced sideways curiously, and even though he knew what kind of demon lived under this skin, he couldn't help but lose his mind for a moment.
The afternoon sun fell on his ink-colored robe. His skin was cold and pale, his posture was dignified and lazy, one hand supporting his forehead. His golden and jade-like facial features were like a banished immortal in a painting, softening the hostility and coquettishness between his brows, which was extremely deceptive.
In his left hand, he held a glowing book. His drooping snow-white eyelashes and long, silky hair were surprisingly holy under the light. He was reading it very seriously, as if he wanted to learn every word.
Si Tang couldn't help but look closely out of curiosity, and saw a few lines of words written on the title page, "Human Psychological Control", "How to Make People Submit", "How to Mentally Torture Humans".
Si Tang: ...
Otherwise you might as well just kill me.
Si Tang's eyelids trembled as she was about to look away, but her eyes met his the next moment.
He raised his hand with interest, and the book disappeared from his fingertips.
"Come here." He called out as if calling a pet.
Si Tang's eyelids twitched more and more, but he had to obey him and stood up and walked towards him.
Fan Yi watched her approach timidly and reluctantly, his mind racing with the possibilities in the books he'd just read. Physical torture was nothing. Humans were greedy creatures, their desires boundless. He could grant her a favor. Once she surrendered to him from the bottom of her heart, he would hear her voice.
Si Tang stood in front of him, warily awaiting his next move. He raised his eyebrows and flicked his fingers. A flash of white light appeared before his eyes, and a long table covered with white velvet appeared. On the table lay delicious food, cakes, and fine wines, a feast worthy of Manchu and Han dynasties.
Si Tang looked at it in shock. The tempting aroma filled his nose and Si Tang couldn't help swallowing.
For the past two months, all her food has been the same old fish, which has no taste at all. Si Tang, who has been pampered since childhood, is almost losing her sense of taste.
My body couldn't help but swallow continuously, and my nerves were immediately cut into a string. I don't know what he was trying to do.
The last meal before execution?
Poisoning and torturing her?
Thinking of this, Si Tang took several steps back.
Fan Yi looked at her reaction, a playful smile on his face, "Why, are you afraid that I'll poison you?"
Si Tang hesitated. Seeing this, Fan said casually, as if showing mercy, "Eat it. These are my rewards for your obedience these days."
Si Tang glanced at him and slowly walked to the dining table under his gloomy gaze.
Poisonous or not, she had no choice.
Under his interested gaze, Si Tang picked up the cutlery and carefully scooped up a piece of exquisite cream cake.
It's quite similar to what her personal Michelin chef makes.
Si Tang thought silently in his heart.
As the cream melted on his tongue, Si Tang felt a long-lost sense of familiarity, and for a moment he thought he was back home. This taste...
She suddenly looked at the dining table in disbelief, and after searching carefully, she saw a complex totem embroidered in the corner of the exquisite white velvet tablecloth. It was the Si family's emblem.
These delicacies...
"Where did you get these?" Si Tang asked, trying his best to control his excitement.
He didn't answer her, but suddenly his sharp eyes fell on her unusual expression.
That subtle and strange feeling that was bothering him came from the bottom of his heart again, and Fan Yi wanted to know more and more what this human was thinking.
Si Tang was not disappointed when she didn't get an answer. She was wondering if her family had not given up on her and sent people to look for her?
This gave her a ray of hope again.
Just when Si Tang thought he would not answer her again, his voice came meaningfully.
"These were recovered from a ship."
Si Tang couldn't help but ask, "What is that ship used for?"
Fan Yi scoffed casually at her anxious, expectant gaze, seeing through her delusion of being rescued and leaving. To dissuade her, he spoke softly and in a low voice.
"Those humans are tens of thousands of miles away from here. They're having a banquet, apparently celebrating something like the Second Young Lady's inclusion in the family tree."
Si Tang's face instantly darkened.
It was the first time that Fan Yi saw such an expression on a human's face, and the curiosity made him squint his eyes slightly.
"Human, what are you thinking?"
Why did she look like that? What was she thinking? Was she in a bad mood? Besides despair, a complex flash of disgust and anger flashed across her face.
Did she know those humans?
All her illogical reactions made him want to study them.
Si Tang lowered his eyes and answered him casually, "Nothing, these foods are delicious, thank you for your gift."
There was no gratitude in his tone, and it was even extremely perfunctory.
This was not the result he wanted.
Si Tang didn't have time to care about what the person in front of her was thinking. Now she was not only desperate that the hope she had just ignited was extinguished, but also felt a strong anger.
She wasn't even dead yet, but her father couldn't wait to bring that illegitimate daughter home?
Holding a party in the Atlantic Ocean where she died, what's the difference between this and dancing on her grave?
The thought that if she couldn't return alive, her father would be fooled by the mother and daughter, not to mention that the woman had given birth to a son. The thought that the Si family would fall into the hands of the mother and daughter made a strong sense of unwillingness surge in her heart.
The Si family is half the result of my mother's hard work.
She must go back alive!
When Fan Yi saw the human in front of him, his almond-shaped eyes suddenly became firm and bright after the anger, as if a magnificent flame was burning.
Fan Yi narrowed his eyes slightly.
This feeling of being out of control made him feel a little frustrated.
He really couldn't wait for the day when she would submit to him and become his believer. If it weren't for the fact that humans and gods couldn't do that, Fan really wanted to use that method on her, so that all her thoughts would be exposed in his eyes.
