Chapter 23 He is a madman
In front of the cave, Si Tang was sitting on a swing and looking up at the moonlight.
There were mottled shadows under the tree, and the girl tapped the ground lightly on her toes, swaying slowly.
In the dead of night, the desire to go home always reaches its peak. Si Tang doesn't want to live the life of a "cave dweller" for the rest of her life, not to mention that she still has unfinished obsessions.
Suddenly, a sharp and cold air blew over, and Si Tang couldn't help but shiver. In the blink of an eye, Fan Yi appeared in front of her.
This fish always comes and goes without a trace.
He seemed no different from before, walking towards her in the clear light, his sparkling blue eyes were bottomless. When he looked at her, his lips curled up in a gentle smile, but the natural sense of oppression still made people tremble in their hearts.
The rustling of leaves around him reminded Si Tang of the brief ten-second earthquake at dusk. He suspected it was his handiwork.
Si Tang clenched the swing rope at his hand.
"Tangtang."
Fan Yi walked through the white barrier and came behind her. With a light tap of his fingertips, Si Tang felt the swing sway with the invisible airflow.
"What are you thinking about?" His voice was so gentle that it made people disarm.
The wind blew past his ears, and Si Tang couldn't help but squint his eyes, then looked up at the remaining half of the crescent moon hidden by the shade of the trees.
"Fan Yi..." She was brewing, wanting to blurt out the words uncontrollably, but it was difficult to say them at this moment.
"What does Tangtang want?" Fan Yi whispered behind him, his low, magnetic voice alluring and intoxicating. "As long as it's what Tangtang wants, I will give it to you."
Perhaps it was because the moonlight was too gentle, or his tone too easygoing, that Si Tang couldn't help but blurt out the purpose buried deep in his heart.
"I want to go home, Fan Yi."
The wind suddenly stopped.
The swing stopped moving, and the soft moonlight turned cold and pale without anyone noticing.
Suddenly, a slender jade-like hand stretched out from behind. Before Si Tang could react, his neck was grabbed unexpectedly and he was immediately pressed into the man's arms. The force was completely coercive and the posture was encircled and confined.
All the changes happened without any warning.
The dark blue eyes that stared down at her were cold and sharp, and his whole body was filled with a murderous aura that was gloomy and chilling.
"You want to leave?"
Fan Yi's voice was like ice, its gentleness completely fading. He controlled the pressure on her neck with just the right amount of force, and the veins on the back of his cold, white hand bulged, revealing the restraint and forbearance of its owner.
The feeling of suffocation instantly overwhelmed Si Tang's senses, but she was able to breathe a little. She opened her lips and tried to breathe, her hands tightly clasped around the hand that was strangling her neck, trying to break free, her long eyelashes trembling in a sign of fear.
The shadow completely covered Si Tang. In the deep night, the dew was heavy, and his silver hair was like the pure moonlight, stinging Si Tang's eyes.
Fan Yi looked at the girl's red almond eyes, which were now looking at him with fear and tears in her eyes. His hand trembled and he suddenly loosened his grip on her.
Si Tang immediately stroked her neck and breathed rapidly. At that moment, she was really frightened by Fan Yi's appearance.
She didn't understand what went wrong.
The god's snow-white eyelashes drooped, and his deep blue eyes were staring at her, with a look of calm madness.
After a while, he said quietly.
"Since Tangtang wants to leave so badly, how about turning you into a specimen? That way, you can stay with me for a hundred years or even a million years, and we can be friends forever."
After saying that, he actually smiled at her very lightly and slowly.
Si Tang almost immediately recalled the rows of butterfly specimens, freezing them at their most beautiful moments.
Si Tang was shocked. How could he have a yandere quality?!
Did he misunderstand the meaning of the word friend?
Si Tang touched his neck with lingering fear, and said hoarsely to him, "You, have you misunderstood something? Friends should respect each other. Even if we want to be friends forever, you shouldn't lock me up on this island to accompany you."
Si Tang really didn't want the conciliatory policy to go to waste, and wanted to change his extreme ideas.
Fan Yi stared at her for a long time, so long that Si Tang's hair stood on end. He said calmly, "Then why not?"
The calm tone contained destructive evil.
Si Tang choked and looked at him in disbelief. It was then that she realized: the fish before her was, at heart, a lunatic.
Suddenly, a ray of light flashed through Si Tang's mind, like a cloud of fog being cleared away. She suddenly understood that he did not allow her to leave the cave. It was very likely that the disorder of divine power was an excuse. He did not even let her leave the cave alone. He just selfishly regarded her as his exclusive property!
How could a god understand feelings? He just treated her like a kitten or puppy, keeping her by his side for his own amusement.
The cruel truth made Si Tang tremble uncontrollably, and his eyes gradually filled with despair.
It was as if all their friendly and warm relationship before was just an illusion, and he had never really respected her.
"Fan Yi, I treat you as a friend, but you selfishly want me to stay with you all the time. What am I to you? A pet?" Si Tang's trembling voice was full of disappointment.
Her unfamiliar look seemed to have brought back the original state between them, like a cold arrow piercing through his chest, causing Fan Yi to feel a pain in his chest.
But gods have no hearts, so how can they feel pain?
"Not a pet, Tangtang." His low and hoarse voice seemed to be hiding some emotions.
As Fan Yi endured, he suddenly felt a burning sensation between his eyebrows. He tapped his brows with his fingers, and confusion and complexity flashed in his eyes.
But Si Tang didn't notice his situation.
"Then what are you doing? Locking me in the cave and setting up a barrier? You can obviously eliminate the danger on the island, why do you keep me locked up like this and not let me leave?" Si Tang couldn't help but accuse.
"Tangtang, if you don't like it, I won't lock you up in the cave anymore." He put down his hand, was silent for a long time, and then said slowly. "If you want, I can take you to see other parts of the Atlantic Ocean."
Si Tang looked up and saw that pair of clear blue eyes looking at her. Si Tang actually had the illusion that she was an unforgivable sinner.
However, his words revealed that although he had taken a step back, he still would not let her go home.
"I just want to go home, Fan Yi."
Si Tang's listless and powerless appearance hurt Fan Yi's eyes.
He slowly lowered his eyelids to hide the dark emotions in his eyes, and his red lips gradually tightened into a line. He was like a child who couldn't get a toy, and he said stubbornly and firmly.
"But you were the first one to tell me that you wanted to be friends with me. Tangtang, you have to be with me forever."
The god's words were low and hoarse, like a gloomy oath.
Si Tang was shrouded in despair and looked at him with unreasonable eyes.
Seeing her wary gaze, Fan Yi's lips tightened, and then he suddenly said, "Tangtang, I once said that everyone in this world has their own destiny. Some people are insignificant, while others play an important role. Tangtang, aren't you curious about your own destiny?"
