Chapter 281 Ancestor Statue

Although it was funny to watch the mythical beasts make all sorts of bizarre and embarrassing mistakes in Dongfang Mian's illusion array, it got boring after a while. But there was still a long time before it ended, so Dongfang Mian left many marks for Aju and Ahua to make it easier for them to find this place.

After letting out a big yawn, Dongfang Mian fell asleep against the tree trunk. After a while, Yan Lin made sure she was sound asleep before slowly reaching out to pull her head back onto his shoulder.

It's unclear what Dongfang Mian was dreaming about, but she couldn't help but laugh out loud. Yan Lin looked down at her sleeping face and was dumbfounded, especially at her delicate and luscious red lips. He couldn't help but feel a surge of heat rush to his head and unconsciously lowered his head to kiss her.

"Ah Mian, Lord Lin, we've arrived."

Just as their four lips were about to touch, Yan Lin's vision blurred, and two little tiger-shaped creatures rushed up. They were none other than Aju and Ahua, whom Dongfang Mian and Yan Lin had been searching for.

An awkward silence fell over the room. Aju silently wiped away her cold sweat and said, "Um, the weather is really nice today. Hey, Rin-sama, you're here too. I came up so fast I didn't see you."

Yan Lin glared at him irritably, but didn't push Dongfang Mian away. Instead, she patiently smoothed the stray hairs behind her ear.

Just as Yan Lin was about to help Dongfang Mian adjust her collar, Ahua, who didn't understand these things, saw that this bad guy was actually going to choke her mother, and in a panic, she rushed over.

"Protect, Mom, hit, bad guy, brother, go!" Ahua lost control of her strength and slammed into Dongfang Mian's face, almost knocking her off the tree. This also woke Dongfang Mian from her sweet dream.

"Aju, Ahua, you're here!" Dongfang Mian said happily when she saw the two little ones in her panic.

"Brother, go!" Ah Hua was still directing Ah Ju to rush upwards.

"Go? Go where?" Dongfang Mian looked at Aju with a puzzled expression.

Ah Ju was truly suffering in silence, unable to express his bitterness. Yan Lin cast a threatening glance at him, Dongfang Mian waited for his explanation, and Ah Hua resented her for not standing up for Dongfang Mian.

Six pairs of eyes, including two people and a tiger, were staring at him. Aju swallowed hard and said, "Aju, Rin-sama, guess what Ahua and I discovered? A huge discovery!"

Although it's a crude way to change the subject, it's proving quite useful right now.

Dongfang Mian's attention was successfully diverted. "A major discovery? What discovery? Did you find fragments of a divine artifact?"

Seeing Dongfang Mian's anxious inquiry, Yan Lin felt a warmth in his heart. This woman said those things, but she was probably very worried about his affairs. He was in a good mood and gave Aju a satisfied look.

Ah Ju finally breathed a sigh of relief, while Ah Hua, being more childlike, was busy showing off and stammering as she recounted their experiences to Dongfang Mian.

"You entered the Silver Dragon Clan's patriarch's sacred ground? How did you get in?" Dongfang Mian asked, her eyes wide. This was even more unbelievable than finding the fragments of a divine artifact.

"We went in," Aju said, struggling to articulate her thoughts. "Although we saw the barrier, I felt something inside was drawing me in. Strangely, Ahua and I weren't stopped when we walked over."

"What's inside?" Dongfang Mian asked.

“There’s only one statue. It must be a statue of one of the ancestors of the Silver Dragon Clan,” Aju said.
