They couldn't help but tease Gu Jingyu.
White-collar worker: You disappeared without a trace. When did you have the baby?
Huo Zhaoning: That’s right. You said you wanted a divorce a few days ago, and now you have a child. Old Gu, you are too good at keeping secrets, aren’t you?
Mu Kaimo: Can't you see? He did it on purpose because he couldn't bear to leave his sister-in-law.
Rong Zeming: "Old Gu, is it a boy or a girl? How long has my sister-in-law been pregnant? Is everything okay? Which hospital is she in? Let's go see my sister-in-law."
Gu Jingyu took a quick look: She was not feeling well, so she came over for a check-up and found out.
They didn't respond, so they called privately and said they would come to visit Lu Xingchen.
Gu Jingyu looked a few times, but no one responded, and his brows furrowed.
Where did they all go?
Did he run to the hospital?
Lu Xingchen finished watching an episode of TV and looked at him, "What's wrong?"
"It's okay!" Gu Jingyu put down his phone, "Do you still want to watch?"
Lu Xingchen shook his head and said, "I want to go to the bathroom."
"Um!"
Gu Jingyu stood up, picked her up and went to the bathroom.
Back in the ward, Lu Xingchen was ready to go to bed. Gu Jingyu also went to the bathroom and came in to sleep with her.
The two of them couldn't sleep for a while.
Lu Xingchen felt like going to the bathroom.
"What are you thinking about?" Gu Jingyu looked at her with a smile, looking like he wanted to sleep but didn't want to.
"Go back to sleep later. I drank a lot of soup, otherwise I'll miss it again."
Lu Xingchen pouted, not wanting to wake up again because of the urge to pee just after falling asleep.
Gu Jingyu didn't expect her to think this, and he didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
He pinched her cheek gently and said, "Go to sleep first. I'll go to the bathroom later if I want."
Lu Xingchen shook his head and asked him to take the tablet.
"Still watching TV?" Gu Jingyu raised his eyebrows. He didn't think the TV series was interesting.
"I'll play some games."
Lu Xingchen chuckled foolishly.
Gu Jingyu handed it to her.
Lu Xingchen was lying on the bed. It was a bit difficult for her to hold the tablet by herself, so Gu Jingyu helped her hold it for her to play with.
Gu Jingyu had some rare free time and helped guide her.
Lu Xingchen played this just to kill time and was not very good at it. However, under Gu Jingyu's guidance, he was able to easily break through each level.
Very fulfilling.
"Hubby, you're awesome!"
Gu Jingyu raised his thin lips and kissed her on the cheek, "Continue!"
When Bai Ling, Huo Zhaoning, Rong Zeming, and Mu Kaimo came over, they saw the couple playing games.
Mu Kaimo tutted his words, "You two seem to be having a relaxing time. We were worried about my sister-in-law's health, but I didn't expect you would just find another place to be sweet."
Huo Zhaoning, Rong Zeming, and the white-collar workers all had ambiguous smiles on their faces.
Gu Jingyu glanced at them indifferently, without any surprise.
"What are you doing here?"
Hearing his disdainful tone, the four of them twitched their lips and said, "Let's come and see my sister-in-law!"
The white-collar worker put down the fruit.
Rong Zeming also bought some midnight snacks.
"We bought some of these on the way. Would you like some?"
"Sister-in-law, are you feeling better now? If you hadn't asked Lao Gu to go out and play, we wouldn't have known you were in the hospital!" Huo Zhaoning asked with concern.
"Much better. It's too much trouble for you to come here so late. Please sit by yourselves!" Lu Xingchen greeted them.
"It's not too late now." Rong Zeming responded, "Congratulations!"
"Congratulations, congratulations!"
The white-collar worker bowed and congratulated the couple.
Huo Zhaoning and Mu Kaimo also congratulated them.
"Congratulations!"
"Thank you!" Lu Xingchen was very happy.
"Is it a boy or a girl?" Rong Zeming was curious.
Gu Jingyu glared at him, the corner of his mouth raised slightly, "It's still early, it's hard to tell now."
"Tsk tsk, look how proud Old Gu is!" The white-collar worker teased Gu Jingyu and looked at everyone with a smile.
