But he still waited until Zhao Cong was sent to the post station before leaving.
Zhao Cong got off the carriage but did not leave. Instead, he turned around as if waiting for something. The officials looked curiously and saw that a masked woman came out of the carriage. She had her hair tied up in a bun like an ordinary woman. It was not clear in the dark, but there were some silver threads in her hair, so she must be quite old.
The officials became even more curious. They originally thought that the prince was on a business trip and had a fleeting romance, but looking at the old woman, it didn't seem like that.

The door was closed. Before closing, the prince said, "Bring me a basin of water to wash my feet!"
"Yes, I obey your command!"
The door creaked shut.
The next second, the prince was hit hard on the head.
The prince cried out, covered his head, frowned, looked at the old woman with her arms folded behind him, and said weakly, "Mother, please be gentle!"
"If I don't beat you to death, it's because my motherly love is overflowing. You little wall lamp, you're firing at a crow's nest! Pah!" The old woman waved her hand and slapped her palm again, making it burn. "Hit me! Pah!"
The prince covered his head and ran around like a monkey, wailing, "Mother, I was wrong. I really know I was wrong!"
"You've been beating me all the way..."
