Chapter 196 Can Speak Human Language

"ah!!!"

A piercing scream shattered the morning mist.

Geng Ying was terrified when she saw the strange man lying on the ground by the door with white animal ears and a long white hairy tail.

Song Shang, still fast asleep on the ground, impatiently twitched his ears, then skillfully buried his face in his hands.

Um?

wrong.

What about Mao?

Song Shang suddenly woke up and sat up abruptly.

The scream spread from Geng Ying's mouth to Song Shang's mouth.

"ah!!!!"

"Don't look!" Song Shang covered his chest with one hand and his groin with the other, turning around in anger and confusion.

Geng Ying covered her eyes with both hands, and through the gaps between her fingers, she could see a white blur.

Song Shang skillfully rushed into Geng Ying's bedroom and slammed the door shut.

Click.

It was the sound of a lock clicking shut.

The screams inside the room continued, while Geng Ying outside the door had regained consciousness and was staring at the closed door with a strange expression.

She swallowed hard, quickly grabbed a coat from the sofa and put it on, then cautiously walked towards the kitchen, a large cleaver in each hand.

Inside the room, Song Shang stood in front of the full-length mirror with his hands behind his head, staring incredulously at the long-lost human body reflected in the mirror.

"Damn it!" he couldn't help but curse.

The ears on its head and the tail behind it hadn't retracted yet, and now, accompanied by his cursing, they were trembling with anger.

He irritably smoothed the trembling white hair at the tips of his ears, turned around, grabbed a coat from Geng Ying's wardrobe, and casually wrapped it around his body.

As expected... it's shorter...

Song Shang looked helplessly at his reflection in the mirror, neither human nor fox, and tried to retract his ears and tail.

Bang!

"You thief! Pervert! Voyeur! Exhibitionist!" Geng Ying's shouts rang out from outside the door. "I've already called the police. I advise you not to make any rash moves! Otherwise..."

Song Shang rolled her eyes, and after making sure she was properly wrapped in her clothes, she walked to the door. "Alright, you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Song Shang choked up, his gaze meeting the two large cleavers in Geng Ying's hands, and his lips twitched slightly.

The gate was wide open, and Geng Ying stood at the entrance like a female warrior, holding a large machete in each hand, ready for battle.

“You don’t need to…” Song Shang frowned and pointed at the knife she was pointing at him.

"Why isn't it necessary?!" Geng Ying cut him off, looking Song Shang up and down, lingering on his ears and tail for a moment, a look of disgust on his face. "Stealing my clothes and dressing up like this, it's disgusting."

As Geng Ying spoke, he raised the knife in his hand higher, took a half step back, and was ready to turn and run at any moment. "Tell me! How did you get in?!"

She had just checked all the doors and windows in the house and found no signs of intrusion. She even suspected that the man had appeared out of thin air.

"Tsk." Song Shang rubbed his temples impatiently. "Close the door first, and we can talk things over properly."

Geng Ying looked hesitant, then suddenly seemed to remember something, her eyes darting around Song Shang, "Sweet Bean!"

"Where are my sweet beans?!" Geng Ying's voice changed as she glared fiercely at Song Shang.

Song Shang pouted, "Sweet beans? What sweet beans? That's disgusting."

"Where's my cat?" Geng Ying, unusually patient, explained, "It's right where you were lying! That's where my kitten sleeps! Where did you put my kitten?"

Geng Ying became somewhat agitated, and her eyes involuntarily reddened.

The light from the corridor cast shadows on her pupils, which seemed to be trying to move, and her face was filled with a hint of moisture. Her anxiety seemed genuine.

Song Shang was stunned for a moment.

Within a few breaths, Geng Ying rushed in front of Song Shang with a knife in hand, pointing it at him, his eyes bloodshot, "Speak!"

After a moment of stunned silence, Song Shang stared at the gleaming machete before him, his heart trembling slightly.

My gaze shifted downwards to Geng Ying's small face, which was clearly frightened but trying to hold it together.

He put his hands behind his back, exposing his weakness, and his eyelashes trembled slightly. "He's fine."

"Damn it!" Geng Ying couldn't help but shout, "My cat!"

Geng Ying didn't notice Song Shang's subtle movements and held the knife five centimeters from Song Shang's chest, shouting, "Give it back!!"

Click.

The door was blown shut by the wind, and the roof seemed to tremble with her cries.

Song Shang pursed his lips, his white ears drooping unconsciously, while the tip of his tail secretly rose up.

An hour later.

Geng Ying stared at the kitten on the sofa with a conflicted expression.

"Tsk." Geng Ying pressed his temples, feeling a headache coming on.

She felt that she must have been too busy with final exams and work recently, and had collapsed from exhaustion.

Otherwise, why would she just stand by and watch a man become her sweetheart?

"Meow~" Song Shang sat upright in the center of the sofa, his ears standing up and twitching occasionally, staring at the two large machetes on the ground with lingering fear.

This crazy woman, upon seeing a strange man in her home, only resorts to verbal threats.

But when she found out her kitten was missing, she was ready to fight him.

Fortunately, just as her knife was about to strike, he transformed back into his kitten form, successfully preventing Geng Ying from going completely insane.

"Knock knock knock... Hello."

When the knocking sounded, Geng Ying visibly froze.

She frowned, picked up the two large machetes from the ground, put them back in the kitchen, and then went to open the door.

"Hello, we received a report that someone broke into a private residence. Are you Ms. Geng Ying?"

"Yes, I'm sorry, it was actually a misunderstanding..."

...

Song Shang poked his head out and looked towards the door, his claws digging deep into the fabric sofa.

"Find out the facts before calling the police next time."

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry to trouble you."

Geng Ying's apologetic voice rang out from the doorway. Song Shang twitched his beard, jumped off the sofa, and walked towards the door.

Meow~

He stood behind Geng Ying, looking up at the policeman reprimanding people at the door, his eyes sharp.

Geng Ying's back stiffened, and she quickly closed the door, saying, "I'm sorry!"

Bang!

The two policemen at the door were caught off guard by the dark door panel and didn't even have time to react.

A low murmur of conversation rose from the doorway.

“I have a bad feeling. Is this girl being threatened? When she made the call just now, the operator said her voice sounded very frightened.”

"It shouldn't be, right? I just glanced around the room, and there was nothing unusual. Besides, we just offered to go in and check again, but she refused, repeatedly insisting it was a misunderstanding..."

"Tsk... It's best if it's just a misunderstanding..."

Geng Ying leaned against the door, listening to the increasingly distant conversations and footsteps outside, her pupils meeting those of Song Shang on the ground.

"you……"

"Meow~" Song Shang stretched and scratched the back of his ear with his front paw.

"Are you crazy?" Geng Ying shook his head and muttered to himself, "Am I crazy? I must not be fully awake. I'll go back to sleep."

After saying that, she mechanically moved her limbs toward the bedroom.

"Idiot!" A gentle male voice rang in her ear, tinged with contempt and arrogance.

"Damn! You can speak human language!!" Geng Ying stared wide-eyed at Song Shang, who had jumped onto the entryway cabinet, her voice trembling with shock.
