Chapter 210 Have I become a pure beast?

Song Shang rolled his eyes and forced himself to open them.

He licked his lips absentmindedly, staring at Geng Ying who was so close to him, and teased weakly, "Why is that brat crying?"

Geng Ying pouted, released Song Shang's eyelids, ignored him, and looked at Tang Wu, "Is there any hope for this?"

Tang Wu put away the flower, took out a white medicine bottle, and handed it to Zhu Hao. "Take this medicine once an hour for two days. Whether he lives or dies depends on how tough his life is."

Song Shang then noticed Tang Wu and Zhu Hao standing by the bed. He shook his head, staggered to sit up, and elegantly licked his paws. "It's no use. Tang Wu, you know that too, don't you? No one has ever survived the backlash of the contract."

"Who did you make the contract with?" Zhu Hao pulled up a chair, dragged Geng Ying down to sit, and handed her a tissue. "What are the contents of the contract? If you fulfill the agreement, you won't die."

Song Shang paused, then hesitated before glancing at Geng Ying. "It's nothing."

Tang Wu shrugged indifferently and looked apologetically at Zhu Hao and Geng Ying, "He won't cooperate. There's nothing we can do but let him die."

After he finished speaking, the room fell silent.

Tang Wu bent down to pack his medicine box, muttering, "Zhu Hao, you'd better leave with me quickly. If the Wolf Lord finds out you're here, he'll skin me alive."

"Woof woof woof!" Wangcai barked anxiously as Tang Wu seemed to be in a hurry to leave.

It bit Tang Wu's trouser leg and dragged him toward Song Shang.

"Hey! You dog! Why are you forcing me?!" Tang Wu pointed at Wangcai, angrily pulling back his pants. "It's your owner who didn't want to say it! And these are my limited edition pants! Don't you dare chew them up!"

Wangcai bit even harder, making low growling noises.

Song Shang looked at Wangcai with a complicated expression and warned, "Let go."

Wangcai whimpered, reluctantly letting go of Tang Wu, walked to Song Shang's side, lowered his head, and looked like he was admitting his mistake.

"Aren't you going to tell me?" Geng Ying clenched the tissue in her hand, staring intently at Song Shang.

That look in his eyes seemed to say, "This is the last chance."

Song Shang's heart skipped a beat, but after only three seconds of hesitation, Geng Ying got up and walked out, "Then let's leave him alone, and take the medicine with us."

Geng Ying's carefree and decisive demeanor stunned everyone, even Zhu Hao was dumbfounded.

She knew that Geng Ying considered Song Shang from the "sweet bean" period as family, which was why her emotions were so volatile.

She thought Geng Ying would at least try to persuade Song Shang, but to her surprise, only two minutes after Song Shang woke up, Geng Ying gave up.

Zhu Hao didn't say anything. She silently gripped the medicine bottle in her hand, called Tang Wu, and followed him out.

She only came to save Song Shang because of Geng Ying. Since Geng Ying doesn't care anymore, why is she meddling in other people's business?

The bedroom suddenly became empty, leaving Song Shang completely bewildered.

The sound of the front door closing echoed outside, and Song Shang's eyes darkened.

He glanced at Wangcai nestled beside him, sighed softly, closed his eyes wearily, and murmured, "She really doesn't want me anymore... Now we're truly kicked out."

"Woof..."

Thump!

With a muffled thud, Song Shang felt as if he had been hit on the head, and he felt dizzy.

"Woof woof woof!" Wangcai barked happily.

Song Shang glanced at the thing that had smashed him; it was the medicine bottle that Tang Wu had just taken out.

"You damned fox!" Geng Ying stood at the bedroom door, her face full of anger. "Take your medicine!"

Song Shang was still in a daze, but his paws obediently reached for the medicine bottle and quickly swallowed a pill, afraid of being a step too slow.

Zhu Hao and Tang Wu lay at the door, secretly marveling.

Song Shangzhen is a real scoundrel.

"Speak!" After watching Song Shang take a pill, Geng Ying took out his phone to time it, then stepped forward to take the pill away, looked down at Song Shang, and raised his hand to threaten, "Otherwise, I'll beat you to death right now."

Song Shang blinked, his mouth moving faster than his brain, "I made a deal with Tang Qiao of the wolf clan to take Zhu Hao away from the wolf clan and to make sure that Zhu Hao could never get close to any wolf in the wolf clan again, or she would explode and die."

"What kind of lousy contract is this?" Geng Ying spat.

Song Shang's eyes darted around, but he dared not respond.

He must have lost his mind at that moment.

“But Tang Qiao is already dead.” Zhu Hao stepped forward, looking puzzled.

Tang Wu frowned deeply. "This is even more troublesome."

Geng Ying: "Why?"

Tang Wu: "If the other party were still alive, perhaps the contract could be dissolved by fulfilling the agreement, but now that Tang Qiao is dead, it means the contract can never be fulfilled, which means... he must also die."

"Is there really no other way?" Geng Ying gripped the medicine bottle tightly in her hand. "Will this medicine even work?"

Tang Wu: "This medicine can only delay his disappearance; it cannot fundamentally save him."

The air inside became heavy.

Song Shang cautiously glanced at Geng Ying's expression, then gently tugged at her little finger with his paw. "I'm sorry..."

Geng Ying withdrew her hand in annoyance. "You should apologize to Zhu Hao, not me."

Song Shang straightened his posture, bowed his head to Zhu Hao, and deeply reflected, "I'm sorry."

Zhu Hao stared at Song Shang in shock.

Based on her understanding of Song Shang, this fox was not obedient; he was a complete rebel.

Did he listen to Geng Ying so easily?

Seeing that Zhu Hao didn't react, Song Shang looked conflicted. "If you feel that this apology isn't enough, you can make your request, and I'll do whatever I can."

“But you also know…” Song Shang looked helplessly at his barely visible claws, “There’s only so much I can do right now.”

Zhu Hao glanced at Geng Ying, noticing the moisture in her eyes, and sighed, "You should think of a way to heal yourself."

Song Shang looked up at Geng Ying, but Geng Ying turned his head away and ignored him.

He really had no other options.

Song Shang gently tugged at Geng Ying's clothes, making a whimpering sound in his throat, the sound a fox makes when it encounters danger and surrenders.

Tang Wu stared at Song Shang with a strange expression, finally unable to bear it any longer, "It's not entirely hopeless."

Zhu looked at him and knew that Tang Wu liked to exaggerate.

Tang Wu met Geng Ying's expectant gaze and looked at Song Shang with a conflicted expression. "Doesn't he have one last life left? He can just pay it off, but he'll really become a fox afterward, just like foxes in the human world. He won't be able to transform into human form, and he won't be able to speak. If he's lucky, he might be able to understand human speech like Wangcai."

“Okay,” Geng Ying readily agreed. “As long as you’re alive.”

Song Shang patted the back of her hand, subtly expressing his feelings, "Then wouldn't I become a pure beast?"

“Aren’t you?” Geng Ying shook off his hand and pulled Tang Wu toward the living room. “Please tell me what to do.”

Zhu Hao turned to look at the two people on the living room sofa who were intensely discussing the treatment plan, then glanced sympathetically at Song Shang, who seemed hesitant to speak, and kindly comforted him, "Being like Wangcai isn't so bad, is it?"

Song Shang glared at Zhu Hao, reasonably suspecting that Zhu Hao was mocking him.

"Who are you glaring at?" Geng Ying's scolding voice came from the living room.

Song Shang blinked, licked his paws sheepishly, and echoed Zhu Hao, "It's fine."
